Has anyone encountered a problem where audio (specifically with 5.1 content) will occasionally have the channels mixed up? I will occasionally get all audio sent to the surrounds when using both Disney+ and Netflix, but only with 5.1 content. If I change the audio format from passthrough to auto it seems to help, but I am at a loss what is going on. I have reset both the TV and the Apple TV, which did not help. I also tested the Arc with another Apple TV and TV, and the issue persists. It seems like the Arc is having a problem decoding the 5.1 content. Setup:- LG C2- Apple TV- Sonos Arc + Sub Mini + Symfonisk Surrounds 

So I have an Arc + Sub gen3 + Symfonisk Bookshelves Gen 2 for surrounds. For Christmas I received 3 Era 100s (1 is being used as a line in for a turntable) and was wondering if it was worth swapping the other 2 of them in as surrounds and using the Symfonisks elsewhere. I know the Era 100s are better, and would also technically move my HT system from a 5.1.2 to a 7.1.4 using virtualization but it sounds like most people do not think it’s a noticeable enough upgrade to justify doin it. I watch a lot of movies and shows with Atmos and listen to a good bit of music. My HT system is in our great room and due to the layout I unfortunately cannot place the surrounds completely behind the listening area but they are just above ear level and about even with, maybe a touch behind it. Surround effects are still pretty solid despite the lack of ideal placement (thanks Trueplay). HDMI 4 (arc) connector on tv does not work with the provided hdmi Sonos cable

How can I connect my new Era 300 to my surround set up if all the other speakers in the 5.1 are connected by Boost? Outside of Boost, I have to reconnect some of my speakers almost daily back to my network. Network is Deco(TP link) XE75 pro (Mesh). Any suggestions for improving Wifi connection or getting my Era 300 on the same system. thanks

My old cable box had a RCA outputs that I was able to connect to my Connect: Amp.  My new one does not have any RCA outputs, only an ethernet port.  Is there any way to connect the Connect: Amp to the cable box, or directly to the TV?  If not, what are my best options? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I am having trouble setting up my Sub mini. It was previously connected then I changed my internet services and now I am trying to reconnect everything and every time I am getting stuck at adding my sub mini to the system.  

In a earlier question months and months ago.  A person asked a question about sonos fully supporting era 300 inverted as surrounds.  A rep from sonos said that sonos will be fully supporting that feature soon.  It has been quite a while since then.  If a person from sonos directly can address this,  then that would be greatly appreciated.  Is inverted era 300 still happening? Is it happening soon? Is it happening not soon? Thanks

Stumped on this one, especially since it’s involving multiple vendors, but figured I’d try here first because of Sonos, Roku and Alexa communities I figure you folks are the most clever.I have a Beam 2 connected to a TCL 5-series Roku TV via eARC. The name for the Roku in Alexa is “Living Room TV”.  The TV uses a 0-100 volume scale.Until a few days ago, I could ask Alexa on the Beam to set a specific volume on the TV, in several ways:“Alexa, set the volume on TV to 14” “Alexa, set the volume on Roku to 14” “Alexa, set the volume of living room TV to 14”… you get the idea.  Doing that would bring up the Roku volume display on the TV set to 14 (out of 100).But I recently added a cheapo Fire TV in a bedroom here so now Alexa knows about two TVs.  And ever since then, I have not been able to use the Alexa on the Beam to set a specific volume above 10 on the Roku TV, even when I specify “Living Room TV” or “Living Room Roku”. I have purchased sonos arc and sub 3 days before and looks like sub audio is not up to the mark. Its not giving me punching feeling.  I changed my setting to EQ  bass +10Sub audio +. 15then i get some punchy base, in this setting my room must be shaking but its not.I checked both sub and arc is firmware is upto date. I moved sub here and there multiple places in room but same output. My sub and arc both connected to wifi 2.4Ghz because it automatically takes 2.4Ghz SSID instead 5Ghz. Now days router uses same SSID name for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.   I am really disappointed with soundbar and sub, my 100$ sound bar and sub sound far better than this 1800$ crap. I was so excited to hear but it ruined my new year.

Hello, My Sonos Beam lost the ability to connect through WiFi to my Deco X55 today. It works as intended with Ethernet cable connected.  I have 4 Sonos products that all of them has been connected through WiFi. If a connect an Ethernet cable to the Beam and then to my primary deco, my Play:1s also shows up as wired connection though they are not.The Play:3 is still connected to WiFi, if I remove the Ethernet cable from the Beam, the Play:1s connect to WiFi again but the Beam loses connection and is unusable.This is driving me nuts to say the least as it was working this morning and all of a sudden it's not anymore.  Has been in contact with Sonos support live chat for two hours and we did a factory reset on the Beam and it looked like it was stable until I removed the ethernet cable and the Beam lost its connection again. What to do?

Hello, when playing a blu ray via my LG blu ray player I only get PCM stero. Doesn't matter what settings on my Samsung CU8000 TV or on the blu ray player itself. I've swapped out the HDMI cable just in case and no change. The blu ray is connected via HDMI 3 on my TV.The Bean Gen 2 is connected to the TV via the eArc HDMI port.  Any thoughts or advice please ?

I currently have the home theater composed of the Arc, a pair of Era 300, and Sub mini, all of which are connected wirelessly (via home wifi) for now.  Question: wondering if there will be a lift for the sound quality if the Arc is connected via ethernet while other devices remain the same connecting approaching (i.e. Wifi connection) - this is what my friend told me but I suspect it.  thank you 

For my home theater system I have the Sonos Playbar with a subwoofer and two play 3 for surrounds. I was planning on buying a new TV and was wondering if it would be worth buying the arc? And if the older play3 speakers and sub are compatible with the arc?

Got the Arc, Sub3, and a pair of Era 300's with Sanus stands for Black Friday. Looking for suggestions on best placement. Unfortunately I won't be able to get 'ideal seating' with the room layout. Any other suggestions besides the attached photo? TV is 65" LG C9 wallmounted.Unfortunately I can’t change the furniture layout just because of the door, openings, and windows. I am open to returning the 300’s though if I won’t get much of a benefit without ideal placement.  

I have a new system with Beam (2nd gen) and 2 ERA 100 as surrounds. The first day of use they sounded great - then the back speakers started pulsing (wuh wuh wuh wuh). I’ve taken them back to factory reset, turned microphones off, reset WiFi connection - no change. completely unusable. Any ideas?

Just got a new Beam gen2 to connect to my Sony X90J tv. Plugged into the TV I have a cable box, a Nintendo switch, and another gaming console. The Beam is plugged into the earc hdmi port.  No matter whether I am using any of the above devices or a streaming service like Netflix the sound does come out of the beam.  The problem is I cannot get the remote to control the volume on the beam. I’ve tried setup through the sonos app and the tv and it just won’t work. It tells me to turn cec on on the tv but the Bravia Sync is already on.  Any help would be appreciated!

So, for a week now I’ve been trouble shooting why the sonos App never displays that its receiving Atmos. Ive bought new hdmi 2.1 cables, checked and rechecked the settings. Purchased a new Apple TV 3rd gen. Still no Atmos. My Television is an LG Oled C1. All devices are updated to latest software. E-arc is enabled, pass through enabled, the Arc is plugged into the eArc HDMI port. Still at best i get Dolby 5.1+ or Mutlichannel PCM 5.1 (from the Apple TV). No app whatsoever produces Atmos sound with the Arc whether native on the TV or from the Apple TV.  Im so frustrated im considering just returning the Arc soundbar and moving towards a Klipsch Atmos setup. What could possibly be the problem that im not finding nor thinking of? 

I am trying to configure my room with a Sonos Arc, Gen 3 sub, and 4 era speakers as surrounds. I can’t get the 3rd and 4th eras to hook as surrounds in the room. Any suggestions?

I have a Beam 2 that loses connection with my samsung TV randomly.  TV will suddenly start playing out TV speakers.  Beam is Connected via HDMI/eArc. This same TV worked fine with the Playbar until the speaker change.  All firmware is current and the only solve is to disconnect power for a few minutes then power back up.  I’ve swapped HDMI cables to ensure that is not the issue.  This has been happening to plenty of others as I see in this community.  Any help?

Hi, Everybody. I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to troubleshoot an issue with a Beam (Gen2) -based home theater set up (Beam Gen 2, Sub (Gen3), and two Era 100s). The issue happens whenever the source device, in this case both a latest-gen Apple TV and a Nintendo Switch, outputs audio in MultiChannel PCM 5.1. The audio drops out for about two seconds EXACTLY every one minute. Audio output in other formats, including Dolby ATMOS, plays back perfectly. My television is a new LG G3. All devices are on the latest available firmware/software updates as of today (23 June, 2023). After spending weeks trying every possible solution (HDMI cable replacements, network configurations, wired/unwired setups, different TV and device settings, etc), I had a call with SONOS Tier 2 support today where I was told very confidently that this is a known-issue with the LG TV firmware and that I should contact LG directly. I asked if SONOS was in contact with LG at all to attempt to remedy this issue on

I want to buy a Sonos Arc for my TV and a sub (maybe rear speakers, undecided) to create a home theater situation… also want to put a record player in the same room, would like to share that sub with it somehow and play through Sonos speakers in stereo. Originally I was thinking about getting 2 Fives to hook to the record player (in stereo) but if i link to the arc system to use the sub I’m afraid there might be issues like delay? Furthermore, I would like to install Fives in my garage and be able to play music from either the turn table or TV setup through them. How do I go about all this?

I have recently purchased a Sonos beam gen 2. Sound quality great but the sound frequently just drops out and I have to turn everything off to get it working again. Any ideas?
