Hi,I’m redesigning our home theater setup and I have in-ceiling wired speakers that I can connect to a Sonos Amp.  I would use a Sonos Arc as the front channels.  Can I then connect the in-ceiling speakers via a Sonos Amp to the ecosystem to use as rear channels for surround sound in the home theater setup?If possible, do either of the Arc or the Amp need to be hardwired to the router or a switch?

Hi all sonos loversI’ve just received my Sonos ray, which I have looked forward to for a long time. However, the smile on my face did not last long. Quickly after unboxing and setup, I found out that my LG tv (55uq75006lf) did not want to corporate with my Sonos Ray. I’ve tried everything: Removed the protection of the optic cables, enabled PCM, set the sound output to optic cable, made sure the optic cable is mounted correctly, software is up to date. It can play music through my Spotify app though. In the Sonos App it says that it’s not able to find the optical cables, when I try to make the TV setup. However, on the TV it seems like it can find the Ray. However, I’m not able to turn up or down for the volume on the TV. When I turn up og down a sound icon appears in the right corn with a line accros it, symbolizing It’s muted. Does any one of you know what could be wrong? I love the clean look of the Leon Speakers Tonecase. I have used it on non Atmos Sonos Soundbar. Has any one tried this with an Atmos Arc? It appears to mount flush with tv front. Hi I have recently upgraded from 2 splay 1s to 2xera 300  I also have a beam and sub I am struggling to set up surround sound the app is stating I don’t have a similar pair any suggestions?

Hi!I’ve a Sonos Beam gen 2 and 2 Sonos One SL set up as my home theather on my Samsung tv but shortly after I’ve purchased and after I’ve installed it all it suddenly doesn’t start the tv sound automatically anymore when I want to view something on my Apple TV.. it only starts the tv sound when I turn on my KPN tv (media box).so every time I need to switch between sources and start both the Apple TV and KPN before the sound starts to work. I’ve set up the Beam with HDMI ARC because I don’t have e-arc.Does anyone have a idea what it can be? I’ve tried everything I could come up with except reinstalling it because is rather don’t do that yet.. that’s my last resort.

I think I have been under the wrong impression about Sonos - I thought they were this high-tech company offering premium products.I purchased Sonos Ray last week and haven't been able to set it up (I have tried every internet tutorial, multiple devices, deleted and reinstalled the app, etc). I have been advised via chat to call the customer service line as the agent can't resolve my issue and thinks I need to speak to someone one the phone.I have called the customer service number every day for 5 days at different times during the day, waiting at least 50 minutes in the so called 5-minute queue before I give up. Not once have I been able to speak to a human.I can't believe how expensive these products are and it's impossible to set them up without customer service intervention. It seems like a complete scam, no?

I want to buy a soundbard but I just want to be sure that my two old Play 1 will work as a home theater with the three of them ?

I have a Sony XR-65X90CJ, Playbar/5.1 setup, Xfinity X1 cable box with the XR15 V2 UQ remote.  Hang with me while I lay this out!The cable box recently died and needed to be swapped.  Prior to that everything was behaving it seemed.  When i set up the new box and remote, I noticed an old problem had returned.   The volume control on the remote is topped out at 100 and is hardly loud enough (the TV is set to audio system output, optical cable output is fixed on this TV).  When I had this issue years ago with an earlier Sony TV, I discovered that the Sonus app had the volume set very low and sliding it up allowed more relative volume.  But it was a constant problem which I seem to recall was fixed by setting the OLD Sony TV’s optical output to fixed… but as noted, this newer TV already has a static setting to fixed optical output.    But i went to the Sonus IOS app (which frankly, once that initial problem was solved, I hadn’t looked at for perhaps years).   Log in

I have a issue where my ARC keeps being false triggering when “Alexa” is not said.I have searched the community and found similar posts but one of them said the fix was to turn off Alexa but I don’t think this really fixes the issue. Another post I saw said there was a hardware issue and replacement units were sent out but I can’t find this post.Does anyone have this issue and know of an actual fix, not just turning the feature off? I have kept it up to date but still have the issue. I had it happen 7 times in about 20 mins today so this led me to post.  I have pics of the Alexa app showing the triggers and also logged a diagnostic if Sonos want to check on this. It’s on version 16.2. Thanks for in advance.

Amazon had a deal of $719 for a brand new Sonos Ark and I’m wondering since I can’t find it on Sonos website if Amazon is an authorized dealer or not. Anyone know? Thank you so very much

I have an older home theater setup.  My question is……  Can I replace my legacy Playbar with the Arc and will my home theater setup still work?  Other components are legacy (2) Play 1’s + legacy Sub Gen 1.

I’ve been wrecking my brains trying to figure out why adding Sonos Voice Control to Beam keeps on failing.  Turns out that the mic was somehow set to OFF by default and I’m not able to turn it back on.  I also noticed a few things with the new app update.  Prior to v80.00, the app would display the network that each component (Beam, One, One SL) is connected to.  After updating to v80.0+, the app only shows the network to which Beam connects to, but not for the other components.  Instead the app shows “Unavailable”.  The main problem here is still that I’m unable to turn on the mic for Beam.  I’m not sure if the network display is another headache that needs to be dealt with soon enough.. Any thoughts on these?  Would appreciate your input or advise. Thanks!

 I have a new Sonos Arc (configured as a home theater system with 2x Era 100 and Sub Mini). Firmware up to date. TV connected to Sonos via HDMI ARC. After muting - whether via the TV remote or the app - after about 10 seconds Sonos turns the sound on anyway. The situation does not occur when the sound is played via the Sonos app or AirPlay. Turning off the “Auto Play” option did not change anything.  

I set up an Arc with two Era 300s, thinking that would give me a solid surround sound. Instead, I get about 5% output from the two Eras and everything else from the Arc, with a movie either too quiet to hear dialogue or too loud to endure commotion/action. Any thoughts?

I have an ARC connected to a Sony 4k TV that has been connected for several years. The sound from the TV stopped playing through the ARC today. I can play music from the Sonos system, just not from the TV. I have read several posts concerning these issues from the last several years, and tried many remedies to no avail.I turned both off, then on and reconnected the HDMI through the app, but the app says the TV ARC input is now not recognized. I did this with nothing else connected to the TV. Sonos system is up to date. Before, I did this, I selected the external speaker on the TV (main setting is set to Auto to play anyway), but when I played the TV, the TV would immediately switch back to the TV speakers. Now after the above reset, I cannot even hear the audio through the Sonos ARC even if I select it. This seems like an internal ARC issue, since the TV can no longer recognize the ARC.Please help with this.  Ok. Not sure how to delete this post. I update

I was playing on my Xbox when the arc suddenly made an extremely loud pop sound and then lost audio completely. The app wouldn’t let me adjust the volume and Alexa wake up didn’t emit its usual tone. I had to remove the power from the arc and reapply which resumed the audio. I’m concerned that one of the speakers in the arc may have been damaged when this happened. Has anyone had this issue?We have had no issues with the arc since purchasing it earlier this year.

The best thing about Sonos is their modular structure and the freedom that gives the consumer to build the setup they want. So why on earth are they not allowing two sub mini’s as they do with two subs? I’ve heard a ton of people that prefer an even distribution of lows rather than more powerful lows and we should have the option to choose between them. Especially if you live in an apartment. There is an artificial barrier that sonos has set up to try and force people to pick a sub instead of two sub minis that i don’t understand considering they make money out of the two options. 

My TV/Playbar is mounted on a wall bracket which I turn when I want to watch TV/movies on my sofa.I've been running a TruePlay from the sofa as this is where I watch movies.As I understand it, TruePlay adjusts the volume of various speakers. After you have made a TruePlay, the speakers can adjust themselves over time to get the optimal sound.But if the TV/Playbar is constantly rotated, then the TruePlay optimization will not remain optimal over time, or will it?System: Playbar-Sub-2xPlay1.

Every time I turn on the TV I have to go to the app and tell it to turn on all speakers. It sure would be nice if I could default to a specific group or even just “everywhere”. Is there a way to do this?  Am I missing something?  Tired of searching for my phone just to turn on speakers. Thanks y’all!
