I just recently purchased a pre-owned sound bar and can't get it to link with my Existing sonos speakers. It keeps showing code 1002 which is an updating issue.   Can anyone explain what I need to do so I can add playbar to my account?

Reset your speaker https://support.sonos.com/en-ca/article/reset-your-sonos-product

After try to add your speaker.

troubleshooting :

  • wire speaker to your router
  • use the desktop app if the speaker won’t update.

You might need to repeat a few times as the new app is buggy AF and unreliable

Thanks for responding! I've tried factory resetting several times and the same error code keeps appearing... I'm wondering is there any other way or tricks to getting this to setup on my wifi?

Wire your speaker to the router and use the desktop app. The mobile app is completely f’d up so good luck.
