Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

After years when my Sonos system (two pairs on Sonos 1 speakers, one Sonos soundable and 1 Sonos roam) worked fine playing music from the Apple Music service using any combination of controllers on my Mac, iPhone and iPad,  things have recently (last week or so) gone very wrong.Sometimes Sonos will fail entirely to play things from Apple Music saying that the connection to Apple Music has been lost, Sometimes it will start, but then part way through a track it will skip onto the next track and Sometimes it states it can play the track because it is encoded wrongly.All of this whilst I can easily play the relevant track directly in Apple Music (without using the Sonos speakers) showing that my network happily connects to Apple Music.it is also worth noting that all of my devices are connected via the home wifi and do not utilise any bluetooth or wired connections.On the basis ofd other discussions I’ve tried unplugging/reconecting and rebooting my entire network and reinstalling the con

Under system settings the EQ control for a pair of SONOS ONE speakers doesn’t work. I can move the sliders but there is no effect on the sound. If I try adjust L/R balance nothing happens. Also if I set the volume limit to 90% when I leave system settings and then return it is back to ‘off’.Any clues anyone?The new app seems to be unfinished. Very poor UX and as a heavily invested SONOS user I’m really not impressed.

I have a pair of Fives with a turntable connected to one channel.  When I put a record on, unless that pair is already set to the Line-In source, the speakers don’t play the record.  I have to manually switch the source in the app.  My goal is for people to be able to use the turntable without using the Sonos app.When I bought this pair before the update mess, Autoplay worked fine.  I waited patiently for the feature to return to the app, which apparently happened in the July update.  However, autoplay simply does not work for me.  Are there any steps I can take to ensure that autoplay is correctly enabled?  The only setting that I see that looks like it would turn the autoplay feature on/off is the “Autoplay room” setting, which is set to the stereo pair.

I upgraded my internet connection to fibre to the property some months ago & the utility box & router are now located in the bedroom (centre of the house). I was online yesterday with Sonos Support & the only way to have the Sonos Connect work now was hard wired into the router. I have a stereo system in the living room consisting of a Marantz amp & Richter speakers + turntable where my Sonos Connect Gen2 used to plug straight into the amp. I have the Sonos controller on both my android phone & laptop. Sonos Support mentioned Line-In to connect. Can I & if so how do I play music to my amp & speakers in my living room using my Sonos Connect?

I recently upgraded with another Sonos speaker in my house. A Beam for my TV. I haven’t bought extra surround speakers or sub yet. I will try and se how the Beam will do on its own.  I do have a big problem with this new speaker. The sound effects vs the speech is way to different in volume. I have tried to read about this here. But I haven’t find any solution. Someone said they put the night mode + clearer speech. But that can’t be the solution?

I just bought a Beam gen 2 and had high expectations on the sound compared to my previous Harman Kardon SB26. Installation went good and the sound is good. But the sound is not syncing at all, lots of delay. Can someone help what I need to do? I thought this shouldn’t be a matter when choosing Sonos.  I have a LG OLED55C7V and I’m using only an Apple TV4K. I guess there’s some settings in either the tv or Apple TV to do?

I have a problem with connecting Roam with my app on IPhone. Nightmare! I was trying everything! Waiting time for the help on phone…. 50 min. Help!!!!!!!

Can I expect to ever see album art for my personal library. It was all there before the app update!

Has Apple ever explained why it has not made Apple Classical available on Sonos?  I would ask Apple, but it seems that Android users can't post to the Apple Forum.  I have read various "work arounds" suggested on this site, but either they are iOS specific or are more cumbersome than I want to deal with. If anyone feels like yelling at Apple for me, tell them that an unhappy user just signed up for Apple music, largely for the Classical app, but will cancel if he cannot use it with his Sonos Speakers. 

After the last update (late July) the dreaded 913 error has been replaced by a 1002 error when I try to connect my Mac based music library so the system is still unusable.  I've removed the Boost the system was using, moved all components onto wifi, the wifi signal is strong, the firewalls are set up to allow Sonos connections, and the right file sharing permissions are in place.  Does anyone have an ideas if this is still an app related issue or another problem.   (Oddly, when I switch off the firewall completely - I revert back to the 913 error when trying to add the Library)

I spent a day helping a friend wire 8 amps to a unmanaged switch and back to the router. After all was wired up, we couldn’t get the system to be recognizzed or work. So here are the details of the system.The provider’s router is in the bedroom at one end of the house. There is a Google mesh router plug in to the provider router with 2 other googe mesh  units around the house. My friend also added a Sonos boost next to the router and google mesh in the bedroom. The boost was plugged into the Google mesh.At the other end of the house, the existing system had 4 Amps connected. All amps reside in a closet at this end of the house. We have 4 more Amps that had not been connected and I added 2 more while wiring the system that day. He also has some older Play 5’s and other stand alone speakers that he moves around from time to time, though these are not a priority since we have put speakers throughout the house now.I ran an ethernet cable from the amp closet back to the bedroom. My Sonos worked fine until I moved it to a different room. Now the app can’t find it despite at least a dozen attempts.my laptop and phone play through it wirelessly without a problem

What prevents Sonos from making the old app available? Is there a legitimate reason (like a technical blocker)?Or is it just an ego issue (the company leaders prefer to let users suffer through this for months rather than admit the blunder and fix it immediately with a rollback)?

Hello,I wonder could someone help me with this issue.I have a new router and broadband provider and cannot connect my Play 1 wirelessly.With an Ethernet cable it works. I've done a factory reset several times and cannot get to the end of the adding process.After a reset it's 50/50 whether the Play can be detected but when it is detected, I get the chime and everything seems to be going smoothly. Then when I am asked for my wifi password I get the error:"Your mobile device couldn't connect with your Play 1...."And I'm back to no device recognized. I've tried switching the network with the Ethernet connection as per instructions but no device is recognized.I'm on the latest Android app. 5G fibre broadband. I tried to call Sonos technical support but the wait time was 50 minutes!Could there be something I'm missing? Thanks.

Sonos is now rubbish. No radio stations work anymore. When is this system going to be fixed. The company is trashing the app. I’m so sick of this now. 

Hi,I went through all possible FAQ but I still have the following issues:the app cannot detect the speaker; the app detect the speaker but when it tries to join the wifi, it says that it is impossible to connect to the wifi (even with the recommended configuration).Conclusion: I cannot add the speaker in the app. Seems that the speaker is working when I connect to the smart TV but cannot do anything in the app.Given the recent issues, should I just wait for an app update or do you have any advises?Thank you

After several attempts I am not able to add my music library in the new sonos app.  My library is on a separate hard drive attached to my mac.I put in the path and nothing happens. Not even an error message.  What am I doing wrong?  Or is the app still stuffed?

Hi team I'm having trouble with my new Era 300. Unsure if it's user error, generation of products not getting along, or an issue with the app.I have a turntable connected to the Era 300 via line in. It plays audio from the Era 300 without issue.I have a separate speakers, in a different room, consisting of a Beam (gen 1) and 2 x symfonisks as surround ('living room') In the app, I am then attempting to share the sound with the living room speakers, by ticking the living room in the grouping option and selecting 'apply'. When I do this, the sound stops from the era 300 and is not shared with the living room.When I reopen the grouping option, the living room is Un-selected. This seems to repeat - as if the living room is rejecting the audio from the era 300.Really is a bummer, as I only bought the era 300 so I could share the turntable audio across rooms. Any ideas?

Gift of a Sonos One SL. cannot get it to work. After setting up once it fails to connect to my account.subsequent factory resets work till it gets to the point where I try to add a new product to the system, then it cannot see it at all.Any suggestions ?

My Sonos Ace is working via BT without issues. Connecting it to the latest android version of the Sonos app. It took more than 5 attempts to add the ace within the app, but at least I was able to change the settings.So audio swap with Arc is working within the android app, so far so good. But after shutting things down, I am not able to find a way to get the ace active in the app. It shows the ace as a device, but within the settings it's grayed out. Tried a lot of combinations (first app started, then ace on, etc). But I probably didn't find the golden sequence). Any tips or suggestions? Regards,,Leon 

I’ve had two Sonos Play:1s for years, gradually adding a Beam and Port, a couple Play:3s. Have loved the system and worked through the various updates over the years. Recently, both Play:1 speakers stopped working at roughly the same time (not sure if literally stopped at same time or what…but discovered one stopped lighting up, and on checking the other realized it was also dead). Neither device will power up now (no light in the top).  Are there steps we can take to revive? Unplugged both for a couple days but still no joy when we plug back in.
