Have had my Sonos system in my house for 7years, and the recent poor app has been annoying but is it getting worse?

Yesterday, attempted to ask Google nest to play the radio station on the pair of Play 3 speakers in the kitchen and was told there wasn’t any devices..  Looked at my Sonos app and had a blank screen saying “Not Connected”, as in no devices connected.  Thought, it was due to an update in the app, so reset 4 out 5 Sonos devices and reconnected to my Sonos app.  All was good again, and hoped that things would get better within the Sonos ecosystem system!?

This morning, opened the Sonos app…… Not Connected….?

Really Sonos?

My Playbar and one of my Play3 has a wired Ethernet connection and have recently stopped over to Alta Labs AP’s.

i loved my Sonos system, but if this is going to be a daily occurrence, it’s time to bin the lot!

I have seen some improvement but some of my speakers continue to experience intermittent disconnection.  In another words the connection is disrupted for unknown cause.  I have the same setup for many years and this all have occurred since the upgrade to the new app.  I noticed some speakers disappear from the system but reappear later.  I guess it still has long way to go before Sonos can fix all these.

I’m curious what Sonos support said, when you called them for assistance.

@Airgetlam

I haven’t contacted support, it was the weekend.  Although had it happened for a third time, ie again today then I would!  Just wondering if anybody else had such an experince recently?

But today, it’s all good.  But now Google is being a pain!!  Ahhhhh!!

I have been having increasing problems with the app and its connection to my streaming services such as Deezer. Sometimes no connection to anything. After months of deteriorating reliability of the system I fixed it!! I have bought two Bose Smart Speaker 500s. Don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Not only a reliable service, but much improved sound. Love them. So that's my advice - ditch the Sonos and invest in Bose.

I’m in Australia and since the app upgrade have not been able to play live radio. Yesterdays app update has once again booted off all my connected services and no radio stations work.

I've had 2 of my 4 devices mysteriously disappear over the past few days. Today it's got the dreaded "no connected products message". Maybe I'll try rebooting the router, but it really ought not to be necessary, as I've been happily working from home and connected to my works system via WiFi and VPN for the past 2 days.
