Please Sonos team rollback to the old version. It’s just horrible. Many bugs and lost functionnality. I always advise sonos to my friend, It’s just over. why dit you butcher your software like this seriously ???You never do a beta test campagn before release a new version ????Answer is to use windows version but If I have only a smartphone and tablet, how I suppose to do ?
Sonos just seems to get worse and worse lately.Constant issues with connecting to my (hard wired) speaker, and now they go and screw up the app!I open the app “Cant find your system”. I go to add my system (again!!) and then it finds it before that process starts. Put a song on - eventually. Then once the song goes on, the app goes dead and tells me it cant find a system on my network - again....and Repeat.I even have to go to the Sonos to turn it down if someone calls, or have to turn it off at the plug when I’m leaving the house in a hurry cos I cant connect quick enough to turn the music off. Totally defeats the purpose of it all.Now they’ve thrown this shanbles of an app out to us. And its even worse!!Worse connectivity.Cant access any songs saved on my phone. No more alarms, no timer function. Cant even set the alarm on the web version, although they say we can.So many other minor issues.Yet there’s no easy way to revert back to the old version??I’m just fed up with it now. I am goi
I get how the App Store works but you need to get on there and give us the old app back until you fix this hot mess. I was smart enough to only upgrade on one of my devices, so I can resolve my system issues , but you shouldn’t have to have multiple devices to use your system. This was a huge failure and don’t gage by our responses, for every 1 response here there are 1000 users scratching their heads wondering what they are doing wrong. It bricked my system and when I go to add my speakers back in It puts me in an endless loop and it told me to call support. I used the old app to put my system back together. I can’t put the words together to explain what a dud this upgrade is and based on the new features, not worth the mess it created
The latest software update for Sonos has left me extremely disappointed. In fact, I would go as far as to say that it's one of the worst updates I've seen in many years. Not only does it lack fundamental user-friendly features that were readily available in the previous version, but it's also completely unusable. It's hard to understand how Sonos could release such an incompetent update to the public. This type of negligence is unacceptable, and I hope that Sonos is taking note of all the negative feedback they're receiving from users worldwide.I'm not alone in my frustration, and I know that many others feel the same way. I hope that Sonos is paying attention to the community's feedback and working on rectifying the many flaws in this update. It's crucial that they do so as soon as possible, as the current software is causing significant inconvenience and frustration for their users.
Hi Sonos, now thay many users have had the chance to see how you've wilfully, and without notice, removed core usability functionality for most and seriously important accessibility functionality for many others (except Android users it seems currently?), is there any official communication on how you feel it's gone and a plan moving forward, including timescales?I'd bet the vast majority would just like the old App back while you fix the current mess and add in the functions you've removed.Comments?
Brilliant! A triumph of unnecessary software coding to update a perfectly useable platform. No access to music library, a bewildering and frankly unhelpful GUI ( graphic user interface) on the home page and a waste of time and effort on behalf of Sonos themselves.judging by the response the fix should be swift and complete. Don’t launch a half finished update and claim it’s the cure all!! You’ve ruined a perfectly good front end programme for what?I have six of your products, which are now not able to play my iTunes music library, the only reason I bought your product….sort it
I’ll like to use a old iPad running IOS 9.3.5 from around 2012Trie the web app, but doesn’t want to load on safari. And Chrome and firefox aren’t downloadable. So S1 or S2what can I do, except to change iPad
Even though we use windows app, there is no radio search option to set up alarm music.
First, the majority of posts on the new App where questions. Then, bug reports and complaints became the dominant topic. And meanwhile, everyone just asks how to roll back. And Sonos? First, they post how great the new App is. Then, they say they "listen" to feedback. Meanwhile, they even have a schedule when missing features will be added again. No comments on the real bugs.My interpretation: Developers are far behind schedule and now just enforce everyone to be beta tester in order to get enough feedback in a short time. A voluntary beta tester would meanwhile have given up.
I encourage everyone upset with the disaster which is the new app to write to ceo@sonos.com This is being replied to by their marketing team. Let them hear us!
We like to get the old app back. The new is bad. It is a frustration to Work with.
Hello Mr. @Jamie A You should be more understanding towards Sonos customers who are not satisfied with the latest update which completely ruined the experience. Instead of modifying and deleting our messages, you should use this time in a better way to:1.Offer an apology from Sonos.2. Create an official statement to explain the situation3. Explain what customers can do right now. A downgrade steps by steps for example. Respect goes both ways.
It is not only the new Sonos app that is a mess … the website for the community has a problem as well ...
Would appreciate it if you would make it possible to revert to the previous version of the app. The new app is terrible with many previously existing features missing. I really regret having updated.
I think it would better to roll back to the S2 app, until the app has reached a acceptable level !!!!!The current app has way to many flaws for releasing it…...never should have done that.It takes months to get to the same level as the S2 app. Why no beta testers and communicate with forums?
I have a massive Sonos collection and have loved it for years however since the app update half my system has disappeared. I cannot reconnect it having tried factory resets etc so I thought I would contact customer service. I’ve now been either trying to call or do the online chat for 4 hours without success have they gone out of business? if this is as I suspect an app update issue why don’t they revert to the old, easier to use app and if they must roll out this new trash make sure it works and have a customer service team to sort the issues out!if anyone at Sonos actually reads these conversations please get it sorted. You are not providing the service I have paid thousands of pounds to use as half my system now won’t work. Legal action may follow to get money back for the products
Yesterday I saw an invitation (on the new app or somewhere - can’t remember where) but now I can’t see it.How can I register for this event? Maybe Sonos have locked it due to the furore.
It's fun not being able to change the volume of specific speakers. I also really like how it's a struggle to get them even to play at the wrong volume in the first place.
The new Sonos app does not have ‘means’ to connect to Media Server, the old one was connected and I had favorites Audio from my Media Server, but now with the new one it lost that ability and all my favourites are NOT connected. Please bring back the Media Server connection.
I just downloaded the new app on my iPad. When I go to the ‘’System Settings’->’Your System Manage’->’Network’ screen, there are NO networks. The network used by my previous app is functioning, but does not show up. There appears to be no way to initiate a network discovery, so i’m screwed… i can no longer access my NAS, which ios my main music source. Does anyone know how to fix this, or how to revert to the previous IOS app? This release is evidently a total travesty, in looking at all of the recent threads
In the old version of the App I could modify/delete songs I didn't want to hear from curated playlists. This function was available, a long with many others that seem to no longer exist. Did Sonos do any regression testing?!?!? Are they hiring any because I could certainly help out - I don't think I could make it worse. This embarrassing meltdown makes this loyal customer and shareholder rethink the purchase of the Sonos headphones.
Hi,When is the new App being updated / can it be removed? I have the new App downloaded and now my App will not link to my Speakers until ‘software updates’ are carried out - which it is unable to do?? So i’m now stuck in a situation where i can’t use my system as a result of the new App?? The old App worked perfectly well and so this is extremely frustrating.
Why with the new app we're not able to use the sleep timer or shuffle our Playlist?
The good, the bad, and the bad…
