How do I return my 13 speakers for a refund? The new app is horrible. I don’t care about the alarm, queues, or platforms. What good is that IF the App does not work. I can’t control the speakers. They are slow and clunky. At times the app is non responsive.  The soundbar for tv is not recognizable. Tv controls are gone. I can’t use the system. I WILL ONLY KEEP MY SYSTEM IF THERE IS S NON APP BASED WAY TO CONTROL THE SYSTEM.

Well there is a non-app based way to control the system as voice control has been available for a long time, such as Amazon Alexa or Google devices.  To be honest, while I’ve had no trouble with the new app at all, I predominately use voice anyway.

Voice control may be all and well if you are alone or have a small set up. Voice control does not offer the same functionality that is required to set the speakers in the correct area at the right level. There is not a substitute for the ability to control the system manually. Would voice control be an option for a recording studio? Just wondering. Not trying to be mean. I don’t think the asses at Sonos recognize what they did

What do you mean manually?

How did you control your system without an app prior to the new app release? Why not carry on like that?

Ok I hear you, but I’m a little puzzled as to what you’re after — if your looking for something that isn’t an app, and isn’t voice, I don’t know any alternative might be ?

I don’t think the responders read the messages. The new app does not work. My speakers don’t respond. The tv sound is not controllable as all the normal operations have ceased to work on my system. My recommendation is that Sonos find a way to operate without an app. This was my concern when purchasing an app based system. As long as the WiFi is on we are ok. I did not expect the demise to come from a terrible app.

The prior app worked. This one does not. That’s the difference. The speakers are paper weights at the moment. Sonos needs to have an alternative avenue to operate the speakers.

@whywhy - I completely understand what you are saying. Eights speakers at my house that are now completely useless after the app upgrade. They only speaker we can use is our Move via AirPlay or bluetooth.

I was hoping @Sonos would quickly push a fix but they continue to advertise the new app right on the website like it’s the best thing ever.

I’m with you, if this isn’t resolved soon, I’ll be dumping my speakers on eBay and building my own system using WiiM.
