Sonos strikes again. i now need to reconnect to my network even though i didn't make any changes.
When I play music from a Pandora station, Sonos shows the song title “on Napster” instead of “on Pandora”. What has changed?
Hi,I just noticed that songs from Youtube Music service are repeated infinitely! If I scroll down a playlist or album, the same songs of the list are loaded again and again (Ex. if I open a playlist with 50 songs and scroll down that list, it does not stop on the 50th song, the app just loads these 50 songs again and again). This happens on some playlist and/or albums, but “unforunately” not on all (some playlists/albums work normally. If I try to load such a playlist/album the queue is filled up with thousands of songs, sometimes over 20’000 songs are loaded into the queue. This leads to heavy performance issues! (Queue flickering, songs are not playing, skipping/selecting songs not working, etc.)It happens in the Android and web app. Not sure if it is a problem of Sonos, or the Youtube service plugin.Anybody else facing this problem?
I wanted to share my deeply frustrating experience with Sonos in the hope that others are aware of the declining product quality and customer service. On January 9, 2025, I purchased a refurbished Sonos Amp directly from sonos.com. As a long-time Sonos customer, I was initially pleased with the fast delivery and easy setup. However, within hours, issues began:The Amp glitched with a digital loop (like a stuck CD), requiring a factory reset. An hour later, it blasted a loud squeal at full volume, forcing me to pull the power plug.Concerned, I immediately contacted Sonos support to request a replacement, but instead of offering one, they asked me to reset and retest the faulty unit—a risk I wasn’t willing to take with my speakers. After a week of back-and-forth, Sonos finally agreed to a replacement, but their merchant payment system failed, preventing me from using their advanced exchange service. After another week, I reluctantly agreed to a standard return, which then got stuck at cust
Am facing error 30 on an update to Sonos sub mini.i tried all steps mentioned( getting close to router , restarted my device and router , connected mini with cable to router ) . But still facing error .I reset my sub mini, now unable to add - as the last step it is checking for update and going for error 30.how can I overcome this issue.
I raised a similar issue before but no response from sonos at all. Are you guys listening? Teams calling is horrible. All the background noise is passend through to the People in my calls and I am regularly muted because of thuis. Please fix or explain how I can fix thuis with my settings or at least reply that you acknowlegde thuis issue and can reproduce the observation. Have some decency to value the feedback. Thank you
One of my three Play1 speakers has started to misbehave. It only wants to be solo. All efforts to group it with another Sonos speaker gives me “unable to connect to device. try again later".The system is several years old. Other than a recent Roam2 addition. Why has one speaker gone weird?Tried so far: -Power off & on.System updates treble checked. Most recently I switched the troublesome speaker from Sonosnet Wireless to Wired
Can I hard wire connect two audio sources simultaneously, such as a turntable and a CD or other audio player, to Amp? Amp only has one line in option and I hate the idea of plugging and unplugging every time. And I'm too cheap to buy two amps. Or even an amp and Port.My first thought would be to use amp for one input and use one of my Era100s for another, which would then stream to all of my aero 100s and move simultaneously. Would this be the best avenue or is there another? An audio input switcher or splitter? Would prefer not to use Bluetooth.
I have been working with Sons Tech Support for over 2 months now and still don't have any answers. I have a play base and two play 1 that were having some connections issues so i was lead to do an update. That's when the poop hit the fan. I could not get the play base to do an update with tech support see case number: ********. I was told that this was a know issue and they don't have an eta on when they will have a fix for it. I don't want this post to get deleted so i will stop there and not share my email correspondence with you all but lets just say it was sad. Is there anyone else out there experiencing a product update or registration issue? And if so what is the product you are using and how did you get it resolved….or is my hunch right and there are thousands of us out there that just in limbo?Moderator edit: Recorded and removed case number
When will you add the Yandex.Music service in Kazakhstan? As a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I don't care about the conflict of other countries, I just want to listen to music in hi-res. I am the owner of two Sonos Five, give me access to Yandex.Music, there is NO NEWS there, THIS IS ONLY A MUSIC STREAMING SERVICE.
I’m interested in learning about how to properly setup a VLAN for my Sonos products over Wifi for my UDM-Pro. I’ve seen a lot of info about this - but mostly when it comes to wired Sonos. I want to separate them via Wifi - and still be able to access them from my phone/pcs with the app. I know it's possible to do this. I highly suspect if I can do this it will help me isolate the Sonos devices from potential network issues in general (either them misbehaving on my network or other devices misbehaving and impacting the QoS of the Sonos systems). Anyone have any guides/suggestions that are up to date as of Q1 2025? I don’t want to have to resort to hacks such as running a python script or anything like that. Seems like the UDM Pro should be able to facilitate this with basic network configurations.
So - been having some rather irritation issues with my Arc lately. I have a record player that is connected via line-in to an Era 100 (cheapest way to get this record player onto my Sonos network). That works fine. The problem I continually have it getting my Arc to either play from that line in when its actively playing - OR - to even pair the Arc with the Era 1 so that it plays as a group. Initially - I had much better results by setting the Arc’s source to this line in. Until recently. What I’ve discovered is that for some odd reason - it stops being able to connect. Seemingly randomly. Looking at my wifi settings - I see that the Arc is continually getting a second IP! I even set my router to only feed it a specific IP to stop this. And that initially fixed it - until the more recent firmware updates. Now it forces its way out of this somehow and grabs another IP. Anyone have any idea how to stop this behavior? It seems to be the root cause of a ton of issues with the
Buonasera, attualmente ho un sistema home theatre sonos composto da una sonos arc, un sub (gen3) e 2 era100; secondo voi è possibile ampliarlo con 2 sonos era 300 accanto alla sonos arc? Grazie
when I play music that has a strong beat my volume controllers vibrate enough to sound like they are keeping time to the beat. ANy thoughts on how to solve this issue?
I’ve had a projector system with Sonos Beam + One, Optoma UHD38, and Apple TV for a few years. All working fine - connected HDMIs from the projector and and AppleTV into the Beam system via an AGPTEK converter (HDMI to HDMI + audio). Today I replaced the AppleTV with a PS5, but now the audio is no longer working. PS5 loads up on the projector screen, but no audio comes out of the Sonos system. Audio does come through the projector’s own tiny/weak speakers. Curious if anyone knows how to fix this?Sonos Customer Service was woefully unhelpful. Wasted an hour of time on the phone to end with “sometimes this just happens?”
I’ve reached peak frustration with the Move 2. Decided to bring it from my home to a cottage wknd and just could not for the life of me get this thing to play music. Not even Bluetooth. I’ve factory reset and got every error msg possible. May have brought a brick to the party. Is there a specific type of wifi it needs? I tried two different networks. I understand the wifi needs to be connected for Bluetooth but why? Means I can use this damn speaker if I’m in the woods? Dear lord this had me peaking for two hours trying to get the thing to work when I tried should have just been cottage chillin. Any suggestions here are welcome. Even if they prove that I’m an idiot.
Never posted on a form before so let’s see how this goes. We have a Sonos Ray with an optical output but the Samsung Smart Monitor only has a HDMI ARC. I’ve bought an audio converter and tried every possible combination and setting that I think is possible but it’s still not working. Suggestions welcome
I have purchased a brand new AMP I need to use it on an S1 network so I have downgaded it following the official Sonos description, after a short while it stops playing music and starts to flash white and orange. The problem is worst if I use an online music source but it also happens with line in.I have tried to return to S2 where the problem does not happen, then I returned to S1 and the problem happend again.I have tried to connect to my router and switch off wi-fi, but it did not make a difference.I use the Android app here is what is in Sonos-appinfo:Version 11.15Sonos OS S1Build 572259130Here is what is in Sonos-systeminfo for the AMPHardware 1.24.1.19-2.2.Serie-ID: A110Is there any configuration changes I can do to prevent this problem ?(Upgrade to S2 is not an option at the moment I have still too many devices only supporting S1)
Salve, volevo sapere come devo settare il mio impianto? Possiedo una Sonos arc, due era 300, e un sub Gen4. I bassi sulla sound bar come devono stare?
I’m considering purchasing the Ace headphones. I was under the impression that the Ace headphones don’t work with the Sonos app, so you can’t play music to them from the Sonos app. This seems to be common knowledge. So I wrote Sonos support. Here’s the response:“Yes, Sonos Ace Headphones work with the Sonos App. They can be used as another device in the home Sonos network. Music services like Apple Music can be played from within the Sonos App on Sonos Ace Headphones.”Did something change? Or is it just their terrible support?
I have tried several times to upgrade Play 1 and even with extended from Sonos helpline, failed to complete the process. Here is what eventually worked:Connect your Play 1 with a network cable to your router, power on your Play 1 while holding down play/pause, wait until it flashes orange and then you can release.. After approx. 2min it flashed green. DO NOT REMOVE THE POWER CABLE OR DISCONNECT FROM THE CABLE FROM THE ROUTER.Go to the app, the Play 1 should be visible and require adding to your system. Add it to your system and agree to the prompts to upgrade the speaker. Continue to follow the app prompts which then successfully updates the Play 1. Then disconnect the cable, and add it to your Sonos system following the + a speaker process of the app.It seems that staying directly connected to the Sonos web site via a cable worked for the UPGRADE rather than restarting and connecting via the app through your wifi. Hope this helps if all else has failed.
Will it be possible to add a ndi input for Sonos speaker
I have a very beginner request. I’ve been wanting to use Sonos as a Loopback source for livestreaming music. Sonos comes up as an option for Loopback but Sonos IS NOT a source of music, meaning we can’t play music on Sonos without speakers. I’m wondering if Sonos has ever thought of that (I know it’s a hardware company) to extend use case of its app. I’ve been wanting to stream some direct sound from my Sonos amp + turntable to livestream recordings and this would be the EASIEST (not highest quality but fairly good) and efficient way to do it since I’m all-in on the Sonos system. Without it, I have to use different plugs, audio interfaces, etc. Or...is there a way to already use Sonos as a direct source for music vs say just a remote to control speakers? Thanks.
I am in the process of upgrading my 18-year-old home theater with an Arc Ultra. In the process I’d also like to be able to stream music from my even older B&O Beogram turntable, located in a different room, to the Arc. I know that I have to buy a phono preamp for the turntable and that I can then connect the preamp to any Sonos speaker with a line-in (e.g. the Era 100). But, even after scouring the web, I cannot determine if I will be able to “pair” that single speaker with the Arc such that the signal from the turntable would play on both the Sonos speaker and the Arc. Is that possible?
My Move is totally unresponsive on the app - just says it is powered off which means I cannot use it.I have rebooted twice and added it back to the network which it says has been done yet the app still keeps saying the same thing - that it is powered off.Rebooted router and also turned iPhone on and off….made no difference. Can only use it as Bluetooth.I have had a long chat with help desk and their conclusion was it is my Sky broadband boosters causing the issue. My Era 1 and Play 1 work fine and are stable and the Move (whilst being the most temperamental speaker - dropping in and out) has been ok for +2 years. How can this suddenly be a Sky Booster issue. To be honest I have not been happy with the Move since I bought it - it just keeps dropping off the network and now seems to have completely locked.Anybody else having similar issues?
