My Sonos ARC will not lower the volume. I have a Samsung MU800 D and the Sonos Arc has sound limit at 1% and tv limit at 1 and is still too loud. I have set eq settings to minus level as well. I also reboot the Sonos Arc by turning power off/on. Nothing fixes the fact the volume is too loud.
Dear Sirs the world radios app will not function ive tried every conceivable action to make it play radio stations but it wont
The search function in the Sonos app used to search and provide results for all linked streaming services. Since the last update, it seems I must first choose just one service and then search the chosen service; otherwise the app seems to think I’m searching for the name of a service, not an artist, track or album. Is this a new ‘feature’ (i.e., another loss of a previously available function) or am I doing something wrong?
Since yesterday there is not way to connect to these services. I keep getting errors that the service is not available or that sonos radio cannot beplayed. also I tried to reauthorize the accounts and I get a generix error. Any ideas ?
My sonos was working fine with upgraded sonos firmware in sonos play:1 system but it stopped working sometime back. Here are the things i tried to fix it:Reset the sonos play:1 Turn of power supply → press play button & volume up together (> & +)→ Turn on power supply → hold until it reaches permanent green light. Reset the sonos S2 app. Go to profile → App Prefrences → Reset App Set up the sonos again after above 2 options using Ethernet Cable. Setup done sucessfully over Ethernet but when Enabled the Wireless Network in App, it didn’t ask for credentials. Also when tried to locate the Sonos Product in App it wasn’t able to find it. Went through following page which didn’t help much but atleast one comment caught my eyes “the WiFi network though needs to be 802.11b/g/n compatible with security mode WPA-2 personal and the Sonos mobile controller device needs to meet these system requirements…” Also few comments suggested to downgrade Play:1 and try with S1 OS and APP. Now
I’ve had 2x Play 1’s connected as surrounds to a Beam in my living room for a number of years which have worked faultlessly, until very recently.A couple of weeks ago I noticed one of the Play 1’s wasn’t showing up in the app and said disconnected, but the white light was flashing. On investigating the Play 1 flashed up with a firmware update which it performed and seemed to initially connect ok so I didn’t think anything more. The next day I noticed the speaker wasn’t connected but there was now a strange sequence of lights - as follows:white light on for 20 seconds white light off then flashes 3 times No lights for 3 mins above sequence repeats. The Play 1 does not show in the app at all. I have tried every combination of hard/factory reset, including plugged in via Ethernet but the speaker is stuck in the above sequence. Sonos support have been absolutely useless and said nothing more than the speaker is likely now defective and needs to be replaced. Has anyone had any form of s

Given the current inability to manipulate Sonos playlists, I looked into importing playlists. I created some with windows media player. My issue is that there seems to be a hard limit of 100 songs. Woefully inadequate and pitiful scaling for any modern system. For any playlist larger than 100 songs, trying to play the list has it endlessly clone itself in the queue until the queue is 50000 entries or so. Same 100 song listings cloned 500 times. At least when the queue has not been exceeded and you try to add to the queue such that it goes over 100 songs you get an error. so this looks like just really bad code. When will this trivial limit be raised and when will the system not melt down when the limit is exceeded?
Why did my Arcam avr10 and the Axium speaker control stop working with the sonos port after I installed a new Orbi wifi ?
Should I buy the Beam 2 at the moment or is the new app still bug ridden?
Since the bungled software release I have had loads of issues with Sonos, alongside many others, but have worked around and fixed things as possible but some issues remain. I just spent 1 ½ hrs talking to Sonos without getting anywhere.Everything works correctly in iTunes, listing, playing and searching. However, when I select ‘Albums’ in Sonos on my Mac laptop or on iPhone, I see a repeated list of the Album title, followed by each and every track. SO a 20 track album is listed 20 times under albums and you cannot play the entire album! If I select one of them I can only play a single track - has anyone experienced this? I also can no longer ‘see’ playlists that are on iTunes either. Needless to say all was fine before the App change last year. Can anyone advise please?
I have 12 sonos speakers i have rebalance the volume on each seaker everytime i put on music. I dont understand why Sonos cant provide a small selection of presets for people that spent a fair amount moeny on their products??????
Hooray! I seem to have my playlists back but no album Artwork, however it does show next to the tracks but not in the main heading space 🤔
Upgraded MacOS to Sequoia and Sonos stopped working. Here is the manner in which I was able to get it working again:Sequoia 15.x.x (in my case 15.3.1) Download / Install latest app from Sonos website Check the following settings before launching the app: Open System Settings Network Firewall Options Make sure Sonos connections are set to “allow incoming connections” Privacy & Security Local Network Make sure Sonos is enabled Start Sonos App If the app can’t detect the Sonos System Reset the Sonos Controller, which forces you to setup the system as if it were for the first time When the app recognizes the Sonos system, if it cannot access the music library that needs to be re-shared: Share your music folder in MacOSOpen System Settings.select General, then select Sharing. Make sure File Sharing is enabled, then select the information icon next to File Sharing to open your sharing settings. Under Shared Folders, select the + (plus) icon, then select the folder on your Mac tha
best new oled tv to use with playbar, sub and amp for surrounds
Cant use my plex files on the sonos localy.I get all my speakers from samsung from now on.
I have an Arc Ultra, Sub 4 and Amp connected to ceiling speakers. What is the best way to connect The arc ultra and amp to each other? Wired or wireless? If wired, do you run an earc hdmi from tv to arc ultra and tv to amp? Then, is it better to group the arc/sub to amp or is it better to add the amp as surrounds in the same arc/sub group? Finally when I was exploring and started to add the amp as surrounds to the arc, I got a notification that doing so would stop the amp speakers from playing analog sound. What, if any, negative impact will that create? Thanks in advance.
After nearly 5 days of trying every permutation imaginable. 5DAYS!!!!! I have FINALLY managed to get Sonos to “find” and add my iTunes music folder. It is on a Synology NAS drive. The Pathname I entered was exactly://my Synology’s IP address/name of folder in there containing iTunes libraryThe username and password were the ones for the Synology drive itself and NOT the one for the DS app Synology Assistant. Good luck to anyone struggling with this nightmare.
Same issue as below, still reproducible 👇Please check this topic What's laughable is that a 1000€ soundbar isn't capable of decoding a mono signal, and what's even more laughable is that 2 years after the problem was reported, it still hasn't been fixed.
Cannot get optical input to work tried another optical cable still same
I have a Sonos Arc, Subwoofer and Amp for my theater room (it already had built-in surround speakers thus the Amp). Arc and Amp are both wired.I also have: Play5 Gen 2 (wireless)Play 5 gen 2 wiredOlder Amp (wired)Port (actually arrives tomorrow; could do wired or wireless)2 ERA 300s (obvs wireless)Various Sonos Ones, Play 1s and (all wireless)Play 3 (wireless, of course) I currently have Wireless disabled on all of the Sonos devices, so there should be no SonosNet running.Occasionally my Play 3 in my office will drop audio for a few seconds. Kind of annoying. My Unifi network (of course) has two Access points and multiple SSIDs for various reasons. One SSID is dual band, the other is 2.4ghz only.Would my Sonos devices on Wifi be better served if they were forced to the SSID that was 2.4ghz only? I see some on the 2.45 and others on the 5ghz. The Play 3 in the office that often drops is on the 5ghz.Or should I re-enable wifi on the hardwired devices and unplug ethernet from all but
Hi,I’ve two groups of Sonos Gear: Arc Ultra + Era 300s + Sub Gen 3, and a Arc + OneSLsThey are all sitting on a 2.4ghz network, in a separate vlan than the main network (ubiquiti gear)The older gear (Arc, OneSL) show up for Airplay, and I can connect to them fine. The newer gear (Ultra, 300s) show up for Airplay, but I cannot cast to them unless i’m on the same vlan.I saw other posts regarding the Era 100s, and that it seems to be a Sonos issue and how it respons to the request for an Airplay connection. The response I had from Sonos support was “your configuration is unsupported”. Has anyone heard anything different, or found any solution to this?
The Sonos YouTube Music plugin successfully plays downloaded Supermix content; however, accessing other service features (Home, New Releases, Library) results in application freezing and a "Something went wrong" error. Coupled with the existing inability to directly cast from the YouTube Music app to Sonos, this renders the YouTube Music service effectively unusable on Sonos devices.
This is a bug report for the Sonos Android app developers. Using the android app, when adding an old device that requires an update l, the update will fail and you will get an error: 1106 The fix is to borrow an iPhone from someone and set it up with that instead. The update will go through fine in iphone.
Just recently, every day when I try to switch on my Sonos sound system it doesn’t work. The only way I can get it all working is Ito restart my wi-fi system and then everything works. It’s not my wi-fi system that isn’t working as everything else connected to my router works just fine. It just seems to disconnect from my Sonos system until I restart it. I’ve never had to this before, why would this be. Any ideas anyone?
