I just received a brand new pair of Sonos Ace headphones. I share an office with a colleague, during meetings on TEAMS my other colleagues have said that they do not hear me properly and rather hear my colleague who is in the background on a different call. Does anyone know how to fix this? So far i am thinking that Sonos Ace is not suitable for a shared or open office environment. . .
Listening on my sonos 1 to Ed Sheran, the sound quality was dulled. Nothing I could to change this. The other day I played my old apple ipod on my old nose sound dock. Sound quality phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal. Sonis you really have to up your game. I've been in hifi all my life and the sonos 1 speaker is quite simply a wireless speaker. End of.
Spotify will not group my Sonos speakers properly again. This is after a mandatory Sonos update to ver 80.17.14. Why why why? The Spotify Group Rooms does not work
I love my Arc ultra despite sonos app going nuts every other hour. Yesterday i dusted it off and noticed this on speaker’s right side. i have a photo from two angles. It is not a bump because I baby my Sonos stuff… it looks like a excess piece of plastic. You can not feel it under the finger, lift it, nothing…Under naked eye it looks 4 times smaller. But it drives me insane!!!Your thoughts?Neven
I have a Sony ZX707 DAP which I want to use the 4.4mm balanced output, can I use a third party USB C to 4.4mm cable for Sonos Ace?
This day in 2025, Friday March 8th, the Sonos S19 Soundbar started playing all by itself. I wasn’t there to hear it but my wife was. My only choice was troubleshoot it (again) or remove it. It is a shame such an nice sound bar had to go.It starts by itself about once every 6 months. It usually responds to voice command by this time she could not turn it off by command and it eventually stopped by itself. We have it connected to a newer Sony 85" Bravia Core Television. We have an Alexa smart speaker nearby, also have DirecTV so there is a set top box (STB) connected. By the time I got to it I just unplugged it and removed it entirely. Problem solved. The only thing reasonable thing that I can imagine is that she likes to cover it with nick nacks, so even though the touch controls have been disabled (using the Sonos application with a Pixel 8a smartphone) there maybe some weird extraneous inputs on its frame somewhere that aren’t disabled. Or maybe Alex conspires to network into it
I am considering upgrading from the Playbar to the ARC Ultra. My current system consists of the following pieces: The Playbar, Gen 2 Sub, 2-One SL’s, and 2-Gen 2 Play 5’s. The Play 5”s are dedicated to a CD player. I want to upgrade to the ARC Ultra but have a few questions. Will the Gen 2 sub and One SL’s connect to the ARC Ultra and will I be able to use the TV volume control for the group? My plan is to use the One SL’s in surround mode until I upgrade to the ERA100 or ERA300 in the near future. If the One SL’s won’t work as I like, will the ERA’s volume be able to be controlled with the ARC Ultra? Thanks for any help.
I have recently moved to Openreach Full Fibre broadband and have successful set up my Sonos Beam, Play 1’s and Sonos Play 3 to the new WiFi.However, when I play music through the system it plays for c.10mins and the drops off the network and takes every other device with it.The only solution to this is to reboot the router, which solves the issue, but if I play music again it simply shuts down again.I didn't have any issues like this with my last broadband. Could this be a router issues as I have read that the router could be rubbish with this provider, but the fact that it works for a short period would suggest that the router is fit for purpose for a short time.I have read that an Amazon Eero could provide a solution, but is this not a simple signal booster?? Or should I get a better router and if so, any suggestions would be great.Any help of suggestions would be appreciated.
I had to contact technical support a few weeks ago as I just couldn’t get my Move to connect properly. It has always had issues dropping in and out from the app. Technical told me it was caused by the fact I had Sky wifi boosters which I just didn’t believe. So I decided to undertake a very expensive trial. I bought an Era 300 to replace the Move in the kitchen and guess what...it hasn’t missed a beat and constantly stays connected. So much for my boosters causing a network issue! I also have an Era 100 in the home office and that has been fine too.I was concerned after buying my Move just how temperamental it has been and particularly when Sonos brought out the Move 2 not too long after...makes me wonder if there has been an inherent issue with the original Move.I am now experiencing connectivity issues with my older Play 1. I have reset and readded the speaker and whilst the app acknowledges the speaker, it won’t control it. Constantly keep getting ‘unable to connect please try again
Anyone else having issues with Qobuz working through Sonos? The stand alone app is working, I tried resetting my Sonos Port, I deauthorized and reauthorized Qobuz and still no luck. When I on Qobuz I get “No content items available.” Not sure what else to try.
Like many I too know that the Sonos app is trash. People develop g it without being thorough or caring. How is it I’m able to log in from my browser on the Sonos site but when I try and log in from my app as I’m being forced to I get a blank page. Makes zero sense. Useless
I would like to export my Sonos playlists in my Music Library to an OWC external 2Tb SSD. I’ve seen the SonoSaver app and am thinking about trying it. But I have some questions:How should the SSD be formatted for higher res music? Can I plug the SSD into my router and use it as a NAS or should I leave it connected to my iMac? I consider myself pretty much “tech-challenged”, so is the SonoSaver app an easy solution?
Over time the Sonos App on my devices has gotten slower, and slower. Response time is horrendous. I figure it’s gotta be from one of two things:All my devices are OLD Play: 1s and a SoundBar. Perhaps they’re just getting too old for the current capabilities? I have found several threads discussing app performance and Network issues. I’ve done a bit of superficial digging and I don’t **think** I have any network issues going on. I’ve got a pretty solid and stable network. Several of my devices are wired rather than using wirelss, I’m using SonosNet still on the rest. I COULD switch them to using regular wifi, though I’m a bit hesitant because I’ve been using SonosNet successfully since before Wifi was an option.Thoughts on where I should focus my energies?
Moderator Note: Google Translate- Good morning,my Era 100 was registered to an account that no longer exists. How do I change the system owner?I tried the “Transfer of system ownership” option in the General settings and when I enter my account, it tells me that it has been transferred, but I am still unable to log in as owner. It's as if nothing is happening... what to do?
I have noticed that the “Your Sources” item appears to have a mind of it’s own and someimes is visible on the Home screen of my iPhone app and sometimes it isn’t. I believe this is bcause if the Sonos app cannot see ony of the sources the option does not show, but will only show if one of the sources is available. For example, my TV comes from my Virgin 360 box and feeds my Sonos soundbar via an optical cable. If the Virgin box is off, there is no “Your Sources” option, but if it is on, then “Your Sources will show in the appropriate room with “TV” as a selectable source.Of ocurse. it should be showing all the time as I have a Music Library stored on a NAS drive whic is ALWAYS on, but for some reason, Music Library seems have a wraith like character in that sometimes my app sees it and sometimes not. This is on both the iPAD and iPhone apps. The strange thing is that even when the apps do not “see” it, the Windows desktop app and the Web based controller have no difficulty is not
Have a fairly old system (1s and 3s). Trying to connect to a new network, and keep running into issues. TP-Link ER605 V2 router, and a Meraki Switch MS130-24P.I have factory reset the Sonos units. New network appears to be running generally fine without any issues. I have changed the settings as advised on the Sonos page for managed switches as best I can (although it is all a bit technical for me).I would simply wire one of the units directly into the router, but according to Sonos, a unit needs to be added to the system via wifi first. But when I try to do this, I can add a unit all the way right until the final stage. After some time adding the unit to the wifi network, it then comes up with message: ‘Your Play1 has been added, but may not appear in your System. If so, unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish setup from System Settings’. Problem is that when I do this, the unit does not show up in the app, and we have to start again, into a loop.I have also rebooted switc
Ok,I have had this issue since the app was changed. I stopped thinking about it for the last 5 months. I’m hoping that it has been fixed in that time. I use an imac and my music library is on an external hard drive attached to it.I have followed and rechecked the steps in the current support page to connect to my music library and it does not work. Surely there is a fix by now.Even the online app is a fail. It can see my music library but it wont search it. Useless. The old Sonos controller macosx app works but then I am denied permission to play my own music. Please help.
I am looking for the best advice on mounting the era 300s. I am not sure if wall mounting or stand would be best. Our couch backs up to the open kitchen and is about 42 inches high. The top wall is about 5 feet from the couch. I am debating on mounting on the pillar(blue dot) and then mount on the wall by the window or the little pillar next to it. If I put the stands behind the couch you can see them in the kitchen. Was also debating on make a small table to fit behind couch but not sure. the pillar is solid but because the couch cushion is all I can run the wire in a case and paint it to match for the 6 inches that will be visible any advice is wanted and helpful
Hello - I need to setup a sub outdoors…. No options from Sonos… My issue question is connecting the Sonos Sub Out (RCA) to the Sub’s amp. When looking for an amp, they ALL seem to have an input for Left and Right RCA. How do I connect the single Sonos Amp RCA output to Left and Right RCA inputs? Splitter? Connect to one of the two inputs? Thanks!
I have tried everything with my Wi-Fi and my streaming services and cannot consistently get my arc and my two era 100 speakers to play music at the same time without problems or cutting out. I have the best Wi-Fi and even tried using an extender. I've also tried repositioning my ERA speakers.Except for the arc playing my TV sound, Sonos has been a total absolute disappointment.
I couldn't resist a screaming deal on a SONOS compatible turntable. Woot.com is (at the moment) offering the Victrola Onyx for just $250 new, including shipping for Amazon Prime. I see mixed reviews with some people completely raving about it and others running into problems. I just set it up and while not completely painless, it just required a little patience and less than a half-hour. It is connected via Ethernet. (I also tried WiFi which worked fine too.)It's playing right now and I am very pleased with the quality and how well it's working at the moment. But it is a little peculiar. It does require using the Victrola Stream app. Once it's playing, I can control volume effortlessly via the SONOS app. I can also set up which speakers are playing (and I have quite a few) via the SONOS app, but only sometimes. That's the weird part.Changing the connected speakers takes more time than normal. I've got it all set up and working now but I'm not at all confident it's going to work this wa
I have a pair of Bose 901 series 3 from ~1974. They are in great shape, although I need to test them.I’m a Sonos user for all my running audio around the house. My plan to utilize the Bose would be to use a Sonos Port for the incoming signal, run the output thru the Bose equalizer, and then get a suitable amplifier to power the Bose speakers with the signal out of the equalizer.I’m drawing a conclusion that I can’t use the equalizer to adjust the signal out of the Sonos AMP.Thoughts?
I have Ray and Sony TV. The volume level keeps getting out of sync. For example, press Volume Up and TV will display, say, 40 but actual volume will be low.The degree of syn changes if I take volume down to zero (i.e. shows zero on the screen) then taqke volume up again.example today …Vol Up … TV shows ~40 but volume relative lowPress Vol Down until screen shows zero … actual volume about zero at this stagePress Vol Up … volume rapidly increases - screen shows about 24 but actual volume far higher than the “40” I had 60 seconds earlier. Any ideas how to synchronise these?I also have an Arc on different TV and it doesn’t have this problem. Also … Bluetooth turned Off (found that on another post)
I asked Chatgpt the following question and received its answer. I would love to hear your responses/critique/agreement with the conclusion please: Question asked: “Here is the list of my equipment: I have 3 Sonos ports connected to speakers by speaker cable. The ports are all connected to my home network by ethernet cable. I also own 2 Sonos Era 300s, 1 Sonos Arc Soundbar and 1 Sonos Generation 3 subwoofer all working together as a single home theater system. The Sonos Arc Soundbar is connected with an ethernet cable to my home network and the Subwoofer and Era 300s are connected by wifi. The Arc soundbar, subwoofer and era 300s are listed as my home theater setup through the Sonos 2 App. My music source is from an Apple Subscription with the highest resolution enabled. I also listen to the home theater setup and apple music directly through the Apple Music app and the Sonos S2 app with my Sonos Ace headphones which are not connected by any cable. Can you please try to determine what i
I have an ARC and two SONOS One SL. After SONOS One SL power down/up the communication is lost and the systems does not work. I have to reset the two SONOS One with a tedious process. Do I have fault hardware or is the SONSO Software basically bad? I am expecting that the app will know the configuration, will know to use the selected WIFI network and will program the devices and the surround sound without any user intervention. Is this too much to demand?
