era 300 mounting advice stand vs wall

I am looking for the best advice on mounting the era 300s. I am not sure if wall mounting or stand would be best. Our couch backs up to the open kitchen and is about 42 inches high. The top wall is about 5 feet from the couch. I am debating on mounting on the pillar(blue dot) and then mount on the wall by the window or the little pillar next to it. If I put the stands behind the couch you can see them in the kitchen. Was also debating on make a small table to fit behind couch but not sure. 
 

the pillar is solid but because the couch cushion is all I can run the wire in a case and paint it to match for the 6 inches that will be visible 
 

any advice is wanted and helpful

I would go for stands, they are also easier to angle/turn and at the correct height.
Our setup is almost the same but unfortunately I don't have enough space behind my sofa so I had to use wall mounts. In addition, I sit in the corner and watch TV/movies so it also presented a challenge with the placement of the speakers.

Looking at your space I would prefer wall mounting the Era 300’s at 6 feet above floor level. My only concern is the pillar shown.  If it’s not load bearing it!s probably just a decorative item that’s most likely a frame with a covering. The Era 300’s need to be anchored to a stud for optimal support. If there is a cross member in the framing that would function the same as a stud. Have to leave now but will come back with additional comments when time allows.

Thank you both for the input, the only issue with the stand is we have a toddler that may pull on them, he’s been good but still worried. I think we are going with wall mounts and probably have to run a wire cover for the pillar as its solid( drilled a whole and tried to run a camera, drill bit hit all solid past drywall and couldn’t get camera to move at all inside hole before going bigger.

 

we where debating on running it in the wall on the side but found framing to be a pain to get through.
