Hi there, this is kind of a follow up to:Although I’m not the OP of that thread, and I’m well aware this is a known issue with no ETA at the moment, I’d like to share some info/discrepancies that I’ve seen from similar threads as well as to tell my own experience with the hope of narrowing down this issue as much as possible and perhaps help the engineering team find a fix or workaround sooner.I’m not going to copy and paste all the other links here. It’s really easy to find them by just googling “sonos beam 2 metallic robotic sound”. You’ll find several threads in both this forum and reddit. Some are even about 4 years old.The reported issue is the same, the beam produces some annoying metallic/robotic, like out of phase sound that is particularly noticeable with certain background sounds like crowds or waterfalls. This video makes it easy to detect: But you have to play it over HDMI through the TV, if you do it via Airplay or bluetooth the issue doesn’t occur, which is something that
Hello, found an interesting thing today. I have an Arc Ultra with Era 300s, and a Sub Mini.I was using TruePlay with my phone and my Surrounds were super loud. Tried multiple different times as well. I know I can reduce the volume but I believe TruePlay is suppose to be set it and forget.Well, since I updated to the iOS 26 beta I was unable to use TruePlay on my phone so I used my daughters phone, downloaded Sonos and re-did TruePlay and it was so much better. The surrounds actually feel like they are at a reasonable level and everything feels much more balanced. Is it normal to have such differences?I have a 15 Pro Max and she has a 15. I love the sound so much better now.
There has already been requests here in the community for Sonos app Live Activities feature. I’d be happy to have it as well. Having Sonos Ray for TV together with Era 300 (as a stereo pair) means I need to use my phone to control the volume for the both. Live Activities would make the process much easier. Samsung One remote connects to Ray only with IR (when connected to optical cable.) Does anyone here have another solution to control the volume without unlocking my phone?
I have had a Sonos speaker for over 6 Months now and its has been nothing but a terrible experience. The app is supper glitchy. The system keeps disappearing from my network, linking services to the app is a nightmare of an experience and getting help form the company is almost impossible. I will never buy another Sonos product, there are way better options out there with way leas issues. I know Sonos has good quality sound, but their user experience is just too terrible for the good sound quality to make up for anything.
In the old app it was possible to toggle on/off trueplay on Android. Will the new app also get this feature. I found it quite useful.
I have an older CD player. I can successfully connect it to my soundbar via a converter and an HDMI cable. . I use the same soundbar for my TV, again with an HDMI connection. I really REALLY dislike the hassle involved in plugging ang unplugging cables when I want to change for TV to CD player. I am hoping someone can offer some advice, based on their own experience with this issue. Thank you
If I add an album from the local music library to the queue using the android app (play button, play now, replace queue, etc) on the now playing screen under the song name will be artist name - artist name. It will show this way on all devices now playing screens (andriod, ios, mac os).But if I add an album using any other device or app (not andriod sonos app), the the now playing screen displays correctly under the song name, artist name - album name. It will also show correctly on the andriod app’s now playing screen.I did a support chat which ended with them saying I should call support to report / escalate. Which I did. The support agent seemed to not care or didn’t believe me. Not sure which.I would appreciate if someone could confirm this behavior. Thanks!
Symfonisk picture speaker worked fine with Sky. Just changed to new network You Fibre. It recognises the new network but after entering new password (yes, got that far!) it tells me 'something has gone wrong' and 'try again' and the little light on the speaker goes from green to red. I have tried again many many times.Switched off, switched on etc.Why oh why is this sooo difficult!! It's a bluetooth speaker for goodness sake. All other bits of tech have connected seamlessly(Alexa, tv etc.)I am not techy but not stupid. Please help
Hey all. I’m debating ways to utilize speakers I already own for my record player setup as additional tv speakers. Is that possible? I have a Sonos Arc for the tv, and I was thinking of getting a Sonos Port for the record player, but I’m not sure if that would technically work. Thanks!
Need help from this group (and Sonos): I was on the phone with tech support yesterday trying to solve this problem: I have an Arc Ultra, 8 Architectral ceiling speakers in Family Room, plus two more in Kitchen (separate amps for each). If I watch TV, sound bar comes on when tv is on via hdmi, as intended. Volume is often too low while watching HBO, for instance, so I use the Sonos app to add the ceiling speakers while using the soundbar. That way, volume and sound is improved. Here’s the problem: if I turn off the tv, and then turn it on later, the group I made by adding the ceiling speakers is “remembered”, so the volume is quite loud on YouTube TV, for instance, when I select that app with the tv remote. The goal: when the tv gets turned on, the only speaker that comes on should be the soundbar. Sonos support advised to turn off “tv auto play” for the ceiling speakers and also turn on “tv autoplay” and “ungroup on autoplay” in the sound bar settings. The idea is that the ceiling speake
I recently started using my Sonos speaker to play music as I go to bed… setting the Sonos timer to shut down after an hour or two. Why does the speaker turn on a bright light from the speaker when it turns off? It has been waking me up...or did until put a kleenex box on top of the speaker. But, my question is Why did Sonos program the speaker to do that? It’s really annoying.
Comment cela fonctionne? merci Moderator edit:Google Translate- Hello,I have an Arc + Sub Gen 3.I'm considering buying a Move 2 for outdoor use and to better diffuse the sound in the house.I'm also going to use it outside when I go to my parents' house, for example.I see there's a Roam + Move 2 bundle. I'm wondering how it works. Is it possible to pair just the two outside my home? How does it work?Thank you.
i cracked my sonos one gen two open over the weekend once i determined it was dead. i did not notice any burned components so i tested the fuse for continuity. 0. soldered on a 5 amp fuse wire and retested for continuity. success. however, when i plug the speaker in, still dead. any other ideas ?
Hi, I have messaged about this before and you told me that you could see it was an issue for iPhone users only but that it wasn’t a priority. I’d really like it to be fixed, because after all this time it appears to me that it’s not going to be. The issue is that the when I try and ‘continue listening’ a BBC Sounds title it just starts from the beginning.
With the latest updates using two Sonos ace with the ultra and transferring the sound bar profile to the two ace is now possible and working.Update quick app and firmwares!! Arnaud
So what appears to be a common issue I experience is that if I quit the Sonos app on my MacBook Air (Sequoia 15.5), it is a roll of the dice if I can reopen the app and for it to reconnect to my system (2 x Symfonisk speakers in other rooms). It turns out the workaround is to go into System Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Area Network and then to toggle off the setting assigned to Sonos then turn it back on. THEN it will let me use the controller of my system. I know it’s not the speakers themselves as they work perfectly well via the app on my phone. Is anyone else experiencing this and why isnt Sonos fixing this? I sent a diagnostics report to Technical support and the response was that everything is ok.
I have owned my Sonos for a number of years, when it works, it is fine, but I have spent, literally, hours and hours trying to figure out why it doesn’t want to play my music collection. I’ll finally get it to play, it’s great for a period, then it starts all over again. I’m about ready to just junk it, and consider it a lesson learned.
I had subsonic working in the past and. would like to set it up again. However I cannot see the service in the S1 or S2 apps I have two systems - Any advice would be appriciated.
Hi I just bought from somebody arc and sub2 I do factory reset and arc working fine but sub doesn’t want connect
Posting this in the hope it helps others.I recently an Asus XT9 Mesh to replace my Sky Router (FTTP) which frankly was the worst piece of kit I have ever had the misfortune to own! The connection to the ONT worked first time, once I had set the protocol to Option 61. Then I experienced issues setting up Sonos on WiFi - missing product, random disconnects, App not connecting etc. My Blink Security system also experienced similar problems. After much help here and on other platforms the system is rock steady. No disconnects or other issues on either hardware. I now have 24 devices working flawlessly and the WAN connection is at full speed..These are my changed settings on the Asus XT9:WirelessGeneralAirtime Fairness – ‘Off’Smart Connect = ‘Off’Authentication = WPA/WPA2 PersonalWPA Encryption = TKIP+AES ProfessionalRoaming Assistant – ‘Disabled’Disable WMM APSDWiFi Channel changed from Auto to Channel 6 AIProtectionAiProtection =On, but UPnP is Enabled. I have a Sonos Connect Amp and while blowing dust out of the stereo cabinet the Sonos Connect amp fried. Opening it up I see a Lion power transformer is burned. Looking to repair with a Lion 1706, with a number 6016A0005701. Is this feasible? The internet does not find this transformer that is installed on the circuit board.
Hello, Someone can help me to connect my Sonos Play 1 when it’s flashing red please?
Hello Sonos fans,I have some Sonos devices (Arc, Sub, 2x Era 300) connected to a “multimedia” vlan grouping also my connected TV, a Nintendo console, a Bose speaker etc. All these devices can access directly to Internet and they can be reached by Internet (music streaming...). They can see each other on this vlan.Laptops, smartphones, ipad are connected on an another vlan “home”.By default, traffic inter vlan is blocked. Which ports should be opened between the home and multimedia VLANs for managing Sonos speakers from the home VLAN and in which direction (home to multimedia and multimedia to home)?Additional information: my network is managed with an Ubiquiti UDM SE.Thank you in advance for your help.
Why is it so easy to accidentally reset your Roam when trying to turn it on or off and why does it not at least remain as a Bluetooth speaker.I’m unable to use it until returning to the home WiFi. Lovely brick to have on my travels.
See the tittle
