I cannot connect my playbar to my Sonia system and if I try to reset it it does not flash green afterwards what do I do
H Community,I have a local music library on an SMB share which I added to Sonos. Everything works fine, I can play the music, but the library also contains some ooooold .m3u playlist, originally created by iTunes, which do not work. On the smb share, the structure is like this:Top level: Folder "Music" and the playlist fileswithin "Music": The music files, sorted (mostly) into folders by artist. The playlist files just consist of one line per piece with the relative path to the track, like this:\Music\The xx\xx\11 The xx - Stars.m4aNow when I try to play a file from a playlist, Sonos says "File cannot be played, '\\<IP address>\musicshare\11 The xx - Stars.m4a' could not be found." , so it seems to just be omitting the path to the file. I have tried turning the "\"s into "/"s without success.I have found one similar topic, which also was not resolved:https://en.community.sonos.com/troubleshooting-228999/playlist-imported-from-nas-not-showing-full-path-and-not-playing-m3u-playlist-

I cannot get Spotify artist radio stations to play on my Sonos today. I can play other Spotify content, like a specific album. But the S2 app complains it cannot get songs for radio station. I’ve never had this problem before. I have reset everything with no benefit so far. Any ideas? Those artist radio stations play fine in the Spotify app. Just not through Sonos
Hi,i use 5 Sonos speakers in SonosNET mode with a boost wired to the Ethernet. Additionally, i wired one of the Play:1 Speakers as well. If i do now chose to disable the radio (in the App) for the wired Play:1, all of my other speakers disappear, and only the boost and the wired play:1 is visible. In the Network Configuration, the Boost is setup as root bridge. I understand that this device should manage the sonosnet. So disabling the radio of the wired Play:1 should not interfere. Where’s my mistake?Maybe as a side note: The Play:1 and Boost which are wired are located right next to each other. I my idea was to disable the Play:1 radio to minimize network interferences.
Sonos system is working and linked to my Apple Music account. When I search for My Music, Sonos can find my playlists and compilations, but it cannot find my artists or albums! I have reinstalled both apps several times and it’s made no difference. I can stream music, but I want to see the list of albums I’ve saved. Any tips please? Thank you!!
Merci !
I found a solution to DJing with Sonos. The RCA output of the Dj console goes into bluetooth transmitter 5.0 , can use along with Headphone amplifier unit, and the bluetooth receiver , preferably of the same company, takes the spdif output to playbar. I tried this and there is no lag what so ever. OK basically Alexa wakes with random conversations not just similar sounding words like Alex. It literally can be anything for example 'I'd love a cup of tea'!! This was initially amusing but it happens several times a day.. I know it uses far field mics and all sorts of clever things and I've looked elsewhere online to find an answer but to date there is no answer. There appears through neither the Sonos app or Alexa app a way to reduce the mic sensitivity. One answer I found was to change the wake word but I think this was for an Echo and not built into a Sonos speaker as there are no options available to change this in app either. Solutions or advice please
I am getting cut outs and then a new song every few minutes, can someone help troubleshoot that for me? Diagnostics being submitted now
My Sonos One works perfectly when I’m just using it to stream radio / music but when I try and play something from my phone using Airplay firstly it will only connect about 50% of the time. It always shows the sonos one in the list of airplay alternatives but wont connect. When this happens I then try and use the same phone to connect to the Sonos app - this also fails but when I use the app to rectify the problem it will then connect. I can then connect my music app on iPhone to the sonos and it will start playing but after a few songs it will disconnect again. Does anyone have any ideas please? Some more info:I’m using a BT Homehub which I have physically connected to a second router in a different room for WiFi coverage. This second router uses the same ID and password.
Everything was working before the update. I say “alexa, play metallica songs in living room”, and metallica starts to play. I can control volume, pause music, skip songs… no problem at all. Now I go to the S2 iphone app, and play something different, lets say ACDC in spotify Then if I say “alexa, play music”, instead of continuing with the ACDC it empties the playlist, shows the metallica song for a second, and then nothing plays. Have to ask again, and metallica starts playing. Any idea whats going on? I have tried disabling the skills, removing the playets, reinstalling the apps… everything.
Wow I used to admire Sonos - my Play:1, Connect, Playbar & sub all connected through wifi worked great. Now I just spent $400 on a Move and the thing is erratic and useless - the app shows it offline, then it disappears completely, then it re-appears, it plays music for an hour and then it disconnects….when did Sonos give up making products that work? The Move is a $400 piece-of-junk paperweight. I have 2 Asus APs with different SSIDs - no extenders, nothing else - pretty simple. None of the Sonos products are wired. (I mention this because I believe it means there is no SonosNet which I think means that all my speakers are using my wifi network just as Move is supposed to; at least that’s my understanding). After an hour out-of-the-box trying everything I could think of I finally got the Move connected, registered and updated. At this point I thought I was done and had another piece of solid Sonos gear on my network. When powered it down it then appeared “offline”, but when I powe
I put my Arc on my TV table but it doesn’t sit level due to the TV stand coming too far forward, and looks a bit odd as it hangs over the sides a bit. I slipped a couple bricks under it (shades of college) and really liked the change, well aside from the ugly bricks.I ordered some stands that looked interesting but I’m having issues getting an un-damaged pair delivered from Amazon. Has anyone seen any other similar stands?
Hello everyone. i must admit i am really fed up with my Sonos playbar. I have firetv stick setup and it’s playing on my tv and this Sonos doesn’t play the audio. I checked everywhere and I can’t fond anything. It’s 2021! Why is it so hard to figure this out? help please
I have an Arc with the Sonos wall mount which is mounted into a brick wall. The amount of sound that goes into the wall and therefore into the room on the other side of the wall is too much.Has anyone tried dampening the sound, such as putting in a sound absorbent panel cut to the shape of the mount in between the wall and the mount? As it is it’s just too loud in the other room.I see Sanus make a different wall mount that extends from the wall and also a mount that attaches to the TV, so perhaps I will have to use a different mounting method if there’s nothing that can be done here with the Sonos wall mount. Thanks for any advice!
I have the Roam on an iOttie Qi wireless charging pad [10w], and it charges fine up to 100%. But after a while it will stop charging, and the charge % drops to 0. It seems the wireless charging logic turns itself off after some period of time. To get it to start charging again, all I need to do is remove it from the pad, wait for a minute, then put it back on the pad, and it starts charging again. If have the Roam plugged into USB, then it always remains at 100 % charge. Software is at version 13.1.1. I have a Move and it does not have this problem
I have the following equipment that was connected to my Xfinity Gateway fine until Friday June 18Sonos Beam, 2 Sonos SL surrounds, Sub Woofer 3On Saturday June 19, I tried to play SiriusXM like I do everyday and it couldn't connect. I checked the sonos app and my System was grayed out. This has happened periodically so I tried to follow the instructions to reconnect the system to my network with no success (this also has happened before).I have repeatedly reset the Xfinity Gateway modem (Both manually and through the Xfinity app)I have unplugged all of the Sonos components and deleted and downloaded the Sonos app to start fresh I can successfully connect the Beam to the app, but it fails every time when trying to connect to my network All my other devices (iPad, 2 computers, 2 phones) are connected to my network we with no issues I've run diagnostics on the network and modem and everything checks out fine I cannot reconnect my speakers no matter what I try. Is anyone else having this
I am having trouble with my One continually disconnecting form my WiFi network. I am able to setup and configure with the network cable plugged in. I then move the One to the room where I want it setup and have no problem connecting via WiFi for an hour or two. When I am done using the One or sometimes just after some time has passed, the One loses its connection to the network and I have to reconnect it to my WiFi using the cable. Is there a remedy for this?
Hi All,I have searched nearly all the topics but cant find an answer I have Arc and 2 One SL’s as surrounds running now. but i also have a SVS sub and a turntable that i want to add to the system. If i buy an Amp can i use like that:1- Arc as front/center, One SL’s as surrounds and SVS sub with Amp on TV? I know that if i wire third party as surrounds i can not use my sub. But i will not wire as surrounds or i will wire as a second option. 2- I also have Dynaudio SP40’s. If i buy an Amp, can i use as a stereo setup by Amp with out using Arc and One SL’s? Or if i add Amp - wired SP 40’s as front; can i use Arc+One SL’s+ Sub + Sp’40’s at same time? Thanks
I’m continually unable to play to my Sonos Roam via the Spotify app. The Sonos Roam will be grayed out with the message “Can’t play this right now.” I can play to the Roam without issue from the Sonos app. Both apps are fully updated, and all of my other Sonos speakers are available via the Spotify app. My router automatically band steers depending on my device’s location in the house. I was just on with Sonos customer support, who was telling me that I need to turn off band steering to connect to the Roam (and always have my phone on the band that the Roam is on). (It seems like my phone and the Roam may judge network strength / interference differently and so not reliably be present on the same band.)I’m also not clear why band steering would be the issue if I can play to the Roam via the Sonos app, but not via Spotify (including when on different bands).Turning off band steering seems like a bad solution, as I like band steering, feel that router technology is generally moving
Everything was working fine, I have an arc and two sonos one, all of a sudden the system is unable to connect to the wifi, it works for a couple of seconds, stops, then I get the sonos warning message: wifi extender message… Please, let me know what to do. Thanks.
Hello,My Gen2 Sub is a room separate from the Amp, wifi is enabled on the Amp. Sub will occasionally connect but then no sound, and Room (+?) showing on controller. I’ve submitted a diagnostics report and chatted multiple times with Support without being able to fix the problem.
I have Autoplay set to on for my turntable hooked up to my Five. My TT has a phono preamp built in. It plays nicely but it doesn’t autoplay. I have to go into the S2 app and manually do it. I want this to be seamless but does not seem to work. Any assistance or advice would be appreciated.
