Hi All,I have seen many posts in here about issues with Samsung TVs and Sonos ARC in the area of eARC, Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) and Dolby Atmos. Especially the TVs that have a “One Connect Box” like The Frame or the High End ones like my brand new Samsung S95C 77 Inch. Who would have thought, that after operating a 8 Year old Samsung UE65KS9080 9-Series 65” Curved TV flawlessly with the Sonos ARC for years, that I would run into such issues with the new high end Model from Samsung which literally costs thousands of Dollars. It also seems nobody has really found a long lasting fix for the issue or figured the root cause. I am baffled about Sonos and Samsung not being able to fix the issues documented all over in this community and leaving customers frustrated and lost.So what is the issue I personally see: After successfully configuring the TV with ARC, Apple TV, Playstation, the TV drops connection to the Sonos ARC and starts switching between internal Audio and ARC Audio, some times after h
I followed all the destructions without any result.I have a Beam and two Ones.Prior to adding the beam, the Ones were paired with voice asst active on both Ones. After grouping them, NONE of the mic buttons will respond to touch, even when separated.Factory reset twice...Power cycled the Beam numerous times.Any ideas?Moderator edit: removed picture with serial numbers
Hi Community,Any a suggestions? When I try to enable Voice Control on my Arc (connect via ethernet), I get the following error: "There was a problem starting Sonos Voice Control. Make sure your mobile device is connected to Wi-Fi." My phone (Pixel 7 Pro) is definitely connected to WiFi on the same network as the Arc. I've rebooted it, still the same.I did enable VC briefly when the feature became available, but subsequently disabled it.Any advice gratefully received,Andy
I want to set up an alarm every 2 weeks to adapt to my regular schedule weeks A and weeks B, how can I do?It seems a basic use of alarm
Sonos Connect seems to have ceased to work.
I tried resetting my sub by unplugging, press and hold power button, and plug it back in. The orange flashing light remains flashing. I called customer service and did the whole process mentioned above and still doesn’t work. Does it mean it’s broken? The rep offered me 30% off a new one if I returned it. I laughed at her and said I am not doing it. I want to fix this issue. Can someone please help? I have 2 Gen subwoofer.
When I select an album the tracks skip in at random times between 5 and 30 seconds
The new app took away more than half of my Spotify playlists. How do you get them to download?
Can Sonos please prioritize volume control responsiveness when using the iOS version of the app? Not to pile on but geez what a major step back with the latest update. What the heck? Was there no user acceptance testing? I have not seen a comparable market size software release fall so short. I have been a long time SONOS user and have been generally satisfied but am concerned with the direction of company over last several years.
I updated my iMac to Sequoia 15.0 yesterday. I have now lost control on volume of my Sonos systems regardless of the app I use for playback. Whether I use the volume control on the Sonos app, Apple Music (iTunes) app or the Roon app when I set to the volume to the level I wish to listen it will in seconds automatically reduce the volume significantly to a very low volume level. It does not matter at what volume level I set it it reduces to the one singular volume level.
For several days now I cannot play tunin radio station WFMT. In the SONOS app when I select WFMT , the station logo appears along with the Play button. When I click the Play button it changes to the little ‘please wait while I connect’ circle. After a second or two it changes back to the Play button and the station does not start playing. Click the play button again and the same thing happens - the SONOs appears to be connection but again it stops and shows the play button. All of of my other tunin stations continue to connect and play without this problem
Hi all. I’m about to pull my hair out and haven’t been able to find the information I need. I have a Samsung UN70TU700DBXZA 70” Smart TV purchased new in 2021. My Sonos setup is a Playbar > Connect Amp > Surrounds via the optical output on the TV. I know this is older equipment but haven’t had issues. At some point I had this working on my previous older Samsung that I shattered when I last moved, but I’m not sure what’s happening this time. My current TV is a newer model. My Apple TV and PS4 are set to output DD5.1. On the Sonos App I can see the Playbar is receiving Stereo PCM. If I run an app like Netflix on the smart TV itself the Playbar switches to receiving Dolby Digital 5.1 over the optical cable. It seems the TV does output DD but not from the HDMI inputs. The TV menu only offers “PCM”, “Auto”, and “Pass-Through” - although Pass-Through is greyed out. I have tried multiple HDMI cables from my devices to the TV. I have ensured my external devices are set to Dolby Digital.
Arghhh!! Stalls ALL THE TIME!! Not my wifi BTW
Hello,Starting 2 days ago, the app crashed when I start it from the icon on the homescreen, but not when I start it from the icon in the apps menu. Why might this be happening? I’m on a Samsung galaxy A7.
Hi, is ti possible / recommended to adjust all Sonos speakers (Arc, 2*Era 300, Sub Gen3) with TruePlay when grouped in Home Theater mode? What is in this case the procedure? Thanks!
I’m trying to use the sonos web app because the mobile app is having issues and so is the desktop app and the sonos web app isn’t loading properly…
cannot toggle that switch in app - says something went wrong.
Hi,I resently disconnected my Sound base and now connected my Amp with two passive speakers and two Sonos One. It works well in surround but is a bit annoying when I just want to listen to stereo from the passive speakers alone when playing music from other sources. I know I can go in the Sonos App and switch off surround manually but is there a way to set up two groups. One surround group with Amp+passive+2xOne always automatically switching one with the TV (Connected to Samsung 2024 model with HDMI Arc) and then another group with just the Amp and the two passive speakers for when I play music without the TV. I have two other Sonos speakers in the kitchen and in the dining room.BrgdsClaus
I’ve seen people playing Atmos via Airplay on here, but I just downloaded iOS 18 RC and tried playing Atmos to my Arc and two 300 speakers. It did not play atmos coming from Apple Music. Is this function broken?
The latest Sonos App Update has removed my Google Assistant.I have tried deleting unlinking Sonos Beam and re-adding it. When trying to add Google Assistant to Sonos Beam, Google Assistant looks for Devices. Most times it does not find any device, occasionally it finds the Sonos Beam and then fails to add Google Assistant! Going round in circles! Help please!!The Sonos App Info is Build 80.03.06-release+20240613.b0fbafe42 (and has the latest update). I can confirm the Google Assistant has access to my Sonos Account.I can confirm that the Sonos Firmware is up to date.I can confirm that both Sonos and Google Assistant are on the same Network and the Network is stable. The Sonos Beam works with the TV and it works with third party music App and Google Assistant worked perfectly before the major Sonos App update. I have unlinked the Sonos Beam from Google Assistant and re-linked it. Currently get message via G Assitant that says 'No Device Found'; occasionally G Assistant finds th
My Roam just completely died (I think it’s a battery issue) and the App simply says it is ‘Not connected’. I ordered a replacement Roam, but I can’t seem to be able to remove the old one from the system? Is there an easy way to delete/remove it from the App?
I just added a Move 2 to my system where I have one move to connected to my Sonos amp. When I add the new Move2 on WiFi it plays for maybe a minute and then on speaker stops playing. I can still control the play pause but no sound from the speaker that stops playing. I was able to get one playing on Bluetooth and the other on WiFi playing together. So I do have them working, but wanted to have the both laying over WiFi. System is up to date, restarted system…..Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Both speakers are Move 2😀Moderator edit: combined posts
Hey all. have a pretty decent sonos and UI setup, and it's worked pretty well for years based on the feedback in this thread. (similar feedback on reddit, etc)https://community.ui.com/questions/An-optimal-configuration-for-a-Unifi-Managed-Network-and-Sonos/4819df0b-cc15-43b1-8f8f-4ca36c486f1cBut now, based on all the changes they've made to the new system (app/cloud, etc)... it's very intermittent. It's been a mess (as I'm sure you know). I'm just looking to see if anyone had any ideas on the next best way to set things up, as it seems the old way may not be appropriate anymore.Currently I have about 10 zones, all S2 compatible. Following the old advice:all hardwired when possible, with wifi off on those devices. No devices daisy chained. Those ports set to STP, with the priorities setup appropriately. Using my own 2.4 wifi channel (not sonosnet). (since I also have a Roam). IGNP Snooping ON IoT Auto-discovery OFF (these are NOT on a VLAN)UI setup is typical setup of a mix of switches
Can you connect the amp wirelessly to an LG TV 32LQ63006LA. Unfortunately the TV is an after thought to our renovation, the ceiling speakers/amp cables are hidden within ceilings and walls. (Speakers and Amp are 3mths old) I suspect this can’t be done? Or is there a third party accessory that can be used i,e. BluetoothLook forward seeing responses and suggestions
Hi community, I’m after some help please with Sonos/unifi. I’ve tried to follow the recommended configs and other articles, but think I have a “perfect storm” of things and I’m struggling to resolve. [NB, I’m a home enthusiast/tinkerer, and not an experienced networker, so struggling to work out next steps] Maybe there’s someone with experience based in Sydney, Au who can come and help diagnose on a paid engagement (Pls DM me if possible?) I have a “perfect storm” of three things combining and I simply can’t get Sonos to work anymore. Summary of Setup: Sonos: 13 devices (Room 1: Arc/Sub/Amp; Room 2: Arc/Sub/Amp; Room 3: Amp; Room 4: Amp; Room 5: Era100; Room 6: Five; Outdoors 1: Amp; Outdoors 2: Amp; + Move) Unifi network config as follows: Fibre Modem -> UDM Pro SE -> 24 Pro switch (via SFP+; switch set to STP @ 4096) -> 48 port switch (via SFP+; set to STP 8192) -> 7 x AP's via CAT6 all over the house) All device firmware up to date (Network 8.1.127) Up until recently, th
