Certain podcasts (ie. The Ben Shapiro Show and the Dan Bongino Show) will not play or connect on Sonos, whether its on Pocketcast, tunein, iHeart etc. The podcasts will play on Pocketcast, iHeat etc apps on the iPhone. Is Sonos blocking these podcasts
Hi,Looking to make a request to be able to create custom sound profiles / config similar to “night mode” and “speech enhancement” but with ability to have control on the levels in both of these areas. At the moment I find that with night mode off the background sounds by default are too loud in comparison to the speech but with night mode on you lose too much of the background sounds so an ability to control this and make a profile from it would be great as I find with night mode off I’m having to turn up volume when it’s a “dialog scene” and then turn volume down when it’s a “action scene”. With speech enhancement off the speech is drowned by the background sounds, so find I permanently need it on but again having variable controls on this would be an overall improvement. N
So, I recently bought an Arc, Sub and two Sonos Ones. If I buy the new replacement speakers, what am I supposed to do with the expensive Ones I just bought?
I could use some clarity on what Sonos are doing in regard to gathering metrics and stats on what I use my system for.Firstly my problem - For some weird reason my Spotify account became completely unlinked from Sonos so nothing would play through my speakers. I went into the app and re-added the account but still, nothing would play. The symptoms are the Spotify system would sit on “connecting” when I asked it to play through the SONOS, eventually timing out, or, the SONOS app would attempt to play a song and throw an error about the connection to Spotify being “lost”.I run a “PiHole” DNS sinkhole on my home network to prevent unncessicary connections from my IoT devices “phoning home” to send my usage data to various providers (Samsung, Philips Hue, Amazon, Sonos etc).I have not been prompted, asked, warned or given any consent for this data to be collected, gathered or sent back to any vendor simply to be able to use their products. Fairly sure there are opt-in laws in Europe about t
Hi - I have intermittent connectivity problems with my Sonos setup. My friends are starting to tell me Sonos is trash 😢 I grabbed a diagnosis yesterday when it happened. Can someone please look it and see if there is any info in there to assist? I have it on SonosNet and use an Orbi Mesh wireless setup. 2133137668 thank you
I would have replied to this thread, but it is closed for comments“Controller update fails on macOS Ventura 13.0” I’m hitting this problem having just updated to Ventura and got the app update messageI’m on version 15.1 for the appI have a concern about downloading and reinstalling based on the following statementIf you are not using a music library shared from the Mac, please uninstall the controller, download the newest version from https://support.sonos.com/s/downloads and install it. If you are currently using a music library shared from the Mac you should skip the update and use the controller in limited compatibility mode for the time being. I have my music library in Music on the mac, but the music library is on a NAS drive. I have had issues in the past with playlists not updating correctly, so I currently have two “shares” in the app settings/users/<myname>/Music//<NASdrive>/<music folder>Does the above setting mean I should or should not update the app? Hi thereFirst time using the community forum :)Been using Alexa to voice search music tracks to play on Sonos since time began. My default streaming service is Spotify (but I have others). I noticed today that all my tracks from this morning (listening on the Sonos Roam in the kitchen) were not appearing on my Last.FM profile (basically not ‘scrobbled’). I have conducted some very basic tests and made following observations:Selecting a Spotify track via the Sonos desktop app (e.g. using the mouse and double clicking) results in the track playing on Sonos AND being scrobbled to Last.FM. Ask Alexa to play the ‘same’ Spotify track on Sonos (via voice search on an Echo Dot) to the same Sonos speaker results in the track playing BUT not being scrobbled to Last.FM. Issue doesn’t seem to occur with Amazon Music voice search (i have not tested other music streaming services). Tracks that auto play AFTER the voice search track also fail to scrobble to Last.FM. I also tried on Sonos One built in
I have a Audio Technica LP60XBK turntable that is connected to Sonos Port. The pre-amplifier switch is set to LINE on the turntable. When I play a vinyl on the turntable, the sound output on my Sonos ARC, with sub and two play one's are too low. In the Sonos app, I did try setting the "Source Level" under Sonos port settings from all the way from Level 1 to Level 10. Level 1, basically nothing can be heard and Level 10 is as though set on low volume.Do not know what else to check and if there is an issue with port or turntable.Any help would be appreciated!

Soooo.... I just placed my order for two Era 300's, and although I was aware of the lack of an Ethernet port on the speakers, I'm a little peeved that Sonos didn't include an adapter with the speakers - and that they are asking $40/ea for them. Yes, I should probably have expected this from Sonos, but it annoys me just the same. Now I have to shell out another $80+ for the ability to hardwire the speakers. We all pay a premium for Sonos hardware, and I'm not complaining about that - throw in the dang adapter guys, or let us buy it at cost.Grrr....
I would like to buy 4 second hand beolab 8000 mk2 and a samsumg frame. I would like to listen to spotify (via sonos?) with all 4 speakers together and if I use the samsung tv frame I would like to hear only the 2 speakers close to the tv. Who can help?
-I can't get my sonos system to work optimally with my Philips Ambilight tv. When I pair sonos with the remote control, sonos only registers every second key I press. Experience that sonos is easy to set up, but very difficult to use with e.g. television.-When I'm going to use disney, for example, no sound comes out of sonos at all, I've looked over hours of settings and tips but can't figure this out.Any suggestions?
I have a Sonos system with speakers and a Roamer and would like to take the Roamer and a speaker to my caravan which is on a permanent site. Is this possible? I’m not very technical
just for info:- https://www.whathifi.com/news/sonos-confirms-apple-music-spatial-audio-support-and-not-just-for-its-era-300
I have a playbase sub gen 3 and a pair of fives, and am wondering if I should up grade to the arc. My only fear is that there might be an arc gen 2 released this year which would make me suicidal. Also if I was to get the arc would it be a good idea to sell my fives and get the new era 300 for a 7.1.4 set up. The fives are good but not that great, and am guessing the era 300 is not as loud as the fives and am just buying them for atmos. I suppose what I really want to know is how good is the Sonos arc
Hi AllJust wanted to post that I have found a new feature in the App which could well have been there for a while now.I am gifting a Roam SL to my daughter in a couple of weeks time, which as on my system. I re-set it today and boxed it up ready to take to her. Of course then it showed in the App as powered off. I was then able to go into the settings for the speaker, and actually hide the device from my system in the App which is a new(ish) feature I believe. This is a nice touch as now it shows as gone from my set up.I know this is a fairly new change as a year or so back, I had to return a Roam which had a fault and had to wait 72 hours before it would disappear from my system in the App (back then, this was normal behaviour).
When Spotify is my selected source it doesnt list NEW RELEASES. I dont need MOOD, FUN BLUES, INDIE. Anyone else?
Dear All,How I wanted to use my home setup to play music from my laptop.I do love to use Virtual DJ to mix a little so it’s not a music from my library only form line out. How to play my mixes on SONOS? Please help. Bieverhousen
HiI have a new Move, when I set it up it has connected to my home Wi-Fi not Sonos through boost. How can I change this? RegardsMark
Looking at the Era 300 it has two holes on the base, that I assume are threaded based upon the way the wall mount is pictured. Is there any resource for the spacing and threading on those holes yet? Semi related question. When I set up my gf’s Beam Gen 1, we totally weren’t willing to spend the money on the wall mount, so I got L brackets and black screws the right thread for the existing holes. I was at Home Depot, and was able to look up that data on the user guide for the Beam, but it’s no longer there. Does anyone still have a PDF copy of the user guide with that data?
Can I pair the new Era 100 with my existing Play 1 so I can play music in stereo. ’ If yes, are there any downsides/discernible sound differences to affect the stereo quality ?
Hi, need a setup at workshops I lead to mix music from my laptop or iPhone, with a microphone input. Can I do this on my Sound Bar? And would it be crazy to shlep the sound bar to locations where I’m speaking? Thanks for letting me know.
For a small bedroom, which do you think would give better sound quality: two Era 100s, or one Era 300?
Hi - I’ve got 12 Sonos AMP hardwired to various in-wall and ceiling speakers thoughout the house and exterior. It seems silly to have them all on 24/7. I’d like to plug them into a managed power supply on a timer which would effectively “pull the plug” on them at 10:00 PM and plug them in again at 8:00 AM.Question: Is there some sort of sleep function I’m missing which would make this unnecessary?Question: Is there any reason why this sort of repeated powering down would be harder on the units than turning them on and off with the power button?
Good morning everyone. New Sonos user here. Just received my Arc, Sub, and 2 OneSL’s yesterday. Hooked everything up and I am pretty impressed so far. I am coming from a bulky klipsch/denon setup, and while it sounded good, we had a little living room refresh, and this was the best solution. My issue:Vizio tv-E601I-A3 60 inch (from 201-too old?). Spectrum cable box. Samsung blu-ray.The issue that I am experiencing, is when playing a blu-ray (mad max: fury rd) the app says that I am in PCM Stereo. I plugged the tv into the ARC port (hdmi 1-no EARC). I tried all the different audio settings on my tv and blu-ray with no change. Interestingly, sound still comes from the back speakers while the movie is playing. But the app does not show 5.1 or ATMOS at all. TV too old? While on my cable input, I get 5.1 from that, but I am not sure if my cable box is forcing that to happen. The tv is still really nice. 4k, 120hz. I hate to buy another one just to have my surrounds work properly, but sinking
