I designed and 3D printed a mount to support the Move on the beach. It securely holds the speaker on a section of PVC pipe above the sand/ground. The speaker is easily removed/installed. If anyone is interested reach out to me on reddit: https://reddit.com/r/sonos/s/N7xuJF2A5l
I have a two channel receiver. Can I connect two separate Sonos Connects, one to each channel? Will this allow me to play two different sources to two different zones or do I need a two (multi) zone receiver for that?
I fired up the desktop Sonos app on my wife’s older iMac. From day one, when I get a prompt to update the app, I’ve done so without any issue whatsoever. This time, upon the Sonos app restarting, it crashed and continued to crash even after I tossed the S2 app (and all components) and reinstalled it. So, I tried removing the S2 app again and installing the S1 app since my wife’s iMac is still running OS El Capitan. (as noted, it’s ALWAYS continued working prior to yesterday). Is there anyway I can download an older version of the Sonos Desktop App for Mac OS so regain use of my Sonos library on this computer? Thanks in advance. Brad
I’ve got a Sonos Play 5 (2nd generation) and I use the S2 app on my MacBook Pro. I updated it recently to 15.2 with no issues. Several days later of using it, the app unexpectedly quit and won’t reopen. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling it - no change. Safeboot and a test user account have no impact. I’ve even tried to install the S1 app but it too crashes upon launch.I understand that 15.2 no longer supports El Capitan (I’m unable to upgrade the macos) but interestingly enough the S1 app has also been updated and it too no longer supports my computer. Is there a link to go back to the previous S2 app version? I’d simply disable automatic updates and that could work.
I've gone through the gamut. Even tried connecting my port directly to the router via ethernet cable. Nothing. Been trying everything multiple times over the past week. Nothing. Help me.
I just want to turn the volume down on my TV and Sonos wants to do an update so I did that and now I just have a screen on my phone saying "sub" and I can't get past that and my TV is yelling at me. Can anyone help?
I have Last.fm connected to my Sonos system. When I play anything from Sonos Radio I’ll get anywhere from 1 - 3 scrobbles per track. Comparatively if I use the Sonos app to playback content from Apple Music or Plex I do not get any doubles or triples. Any reason why only Sonos Radio would randomly scrobble 2 - 3 times?
Hi all, By accident (my son) my Sonos beam gen1 has been upgraded to the crap of s2 😩🤮Now I'm trying to rollback to s1 but is not working.Did somehow Sonos decided that it is not possible anymore to rollback? Could someone help me pls
I bought my new Arc yesterday and overall no isues. I have still got to work my way through the settings for both my TV a LG OLED65CS6. However one issue I noticed and it may not be an issue I watched a couple of films which was greatThen I played some musci via the S2 app but no sound. After a look through the settigns and not actually changing anything that I can remember sound came. However when i went back to watch a movie no sound againI tried looking for something called CEC (which I Googled) found something similar. However is my Arc supposed to switch and play sound or is there something that needs adjusting Steve
I own 10 sonos models all new generations and this is by far the worst product I’ve ever purchased from any electronics company. Battery is dead after 13 months of purchase. WTF sonos!! You offer no options to replace faulty batteries and warranty isn’t covered after 1 year. I’ve had a Bose sounding Bluetooth speaker for over 6 years and that’s still going strong. In my opinion; When it comes to product quality for the roam; well what can I say other than this has been the biggest company disappointment for me and I would never, and I’ll repeat; I would NEVER buy a Bluetooth speaker again from Sonos. Ever!!! This product really sucks. I assume the SL roam Will have the same issue in the long run. Therefore, I would never risk spending my hard working money on buying another even if I was offered a 50% off from the company. That says a lot! Buyer beware; this is a common issues and I would pass on this speaker if you’re considering it as a purchase. Everyone should report this purc
Hi! I found my solution to having several Sonos devices still on the S1 controller and needing a smbv1 Nas device to share my music library. Finding a current router based nas or a current nas with out of the box support for smbv1 seemed fruitless short of spending more than I wanted, so the low cost alternative was to build one myself using a raspberry pi 4 with a USB attached drive and running open media vault, which allows setting smb to v1. Definitely not secure to put accessible from the internet, but secure enough for my home network. Streaming from it to my sonos devices is back!
I have a complete Sonos system throughout the whole house. Recently some speakers are no longer having music output just makes a tiny screeching type noise when its on and I have to switch off the Amplifier to make the noise go away.Is there a technician or shop that can troubleshoot and fix as necessary?
I’ve now had two Sonos Roams and both have died on me (i.e. refuse to switch on) after less than 1.5 years. There is obviously a defect with this product as I see a lot of others have the same problem. I’d like to hear from anyone who literally has been using a Roam for >1.5 years successfully. Or are you someone who has been using a Roam only to have it die on you <1.5 years?
After a power outage, my speakers werent able to connet to Wifi. Eventually, one did. Now that it has been a few days, I was able to connect my phone to the other speaker. But I cannot play them both at the same time. One is in the kitchen and one in the den.
Picture this: in one room I have a TV with the following SONOS products set up to provide a surround experience: arcsub (gen 3)And a pair of Play 5this is a great surround sound setup for my TV and I’m super happy. But..In the extended part of my living room I have another pair of SONOS speakers who are grouped as a stereo pair under the name ‘Livingroom’. the Sub (gen 3) is in fact placed so that it would be perfect as a sub for my stereo pair, when it’s not busy being a sub for my TV surround. Since these two setups are in fact more or less in the same room, they will never be used at the same time, and it would make for a much better listening experience if the sub could be used as needed. today it seems the only option is to unpair the sub and pair it with the speakers in question and then unpair and re-pair for next use. This is cumbersome and leaves me using the sub only for TV surround and having a cheaper experience when listening to music. How about offering a ‘scene’ option
Hi, I currently have a Sonos Beam 1st gen connected to a tv that works fine. I also have a House of Marley turntable that I’d like to listen to through the Beam by adding a Sonos Port (which I’d have to buy). Would that be possible and would I still be able to have the tv audio coming out of the Beam when I watch tv? Thanx, Matt
At this moment not every song in Spatial Audio (Dolby Atmos) is an improvement over the original to say the least, it would be great if we could toggle it on/off from the now playing screen (or at least with fever clicks) rather than having to go deep into the menu each time.
So, I am attaching some screenshots of the outside of our house. We spend most of the time under the over hang on the upper porch, where I use the Blackstone, but out in front too on the lower porch. I am wondering where would be the best place to put a pair of Klipsch aw650 speakers, I am running them to the inside of the house where we are putting a Sonos amp. I was thinking under the edge of the over hang and pointed to the lower porch, either in an upright position angled in from the corner uprights. Or was thinking directly down from the crossbeam. I could attach them to the house against the wall under the upper over hang, but not sure how the sound would project across the area. I am worried about not getting enough sound under the overhang if positioned on the uprights or front beam on the overhang but also worried about projecting sound across from the far wall. Any suggestions? The first picture I put colored lines in the 3 different arrangements I had in mind, the other pics
Hi!!I bought a Sonos Roam S2, i downloaded the Sonos App and i followed the steps for register the device, but i’m looping between register the device and factory reset. For some reason while is connecting to Wifi network the Sonos App says something like “connection lost to sonos”, and i try connect again, the device appears connected to the network BUT the app tells me “"your sonos system must be factory reset before you can register it to a new account”, and here begins the loop. I dont know what happens. Please help with this issue. Thanks,
I need to get a wireless system for our members bar in a tennis club which has 2 separate areas? What would you recommend?
Sonos Play52 2G device is broken Can I get this product
Hello,I am planning to use the in ceiling speakers for my front porch. Are these speakers compatible with outdoor conditions and handle moisture and heat over 100F?
Why Sonos removes the ability to play songs stored in your mobile devices, after the latest upgrade? This make my Sonos system totally useless other than for watching TV and Neflix.Come on Sonos, bring back the feature!
I want to begin using my Compact discs again and need to buy a Compact disc changer. If I bought a bluetooth compact disc player, can that be streamed to my sonos speakers?
I have the arc, sub, ones, and era 300s. The era 300s are always loosing their connection. Not even showing in the Sonos app. The little white light want even stay on. Because of the issue I bought the boost because support told me it would streamline the Wi-Fi connection through the boost. I am still losing connection. I unplug the era300s and plug them back in and sometimes unplug the boost and plug back in. After a frustrating amount of time they will finally show up in the app and start working again. Then after a day or so with me not using them they just loose connection again. They are in within fifteen feet of the boost and router.
