For every additional track i “like”, Sonos drops one off at the end of the list so all I see are 195 but I ghave much more.On the Soundcloud app, I can see all my “liked” tracks.Any idea what this is all about? Thanks in advance,
I have changed from a Windows Server2012 to a Synology DS920+.Sonos can successfully index its Media Library from a music share on the Synology NAS with or without the SMB1 NTLMv1 tweaks mentioned frequently in this forum. From that I agreed that Sonos has successfully removed the SMB1 issue. I am using the S2 controller. Because I have a very large music collection, only a subset (wife’s classical) is on the share and is available via the Sonos Media Library. I successfully accessed the full collection via MediaMonkey configured as a media server on the Server2012.I’ve set up both the Synology Media server and a Plex Media server, neither of which appear in the Sonos music sources list. They do appear (and work) on all other devices on my LAN (PCs and TVs).A Twonky Media server on an antique Zyxel NSA310 likewise does not appear as a source on Sonos.Currently the only way that I have found to access my whole connection is to run MediaMonkey configured as a media server on a PC, with
My move- moves Inside to outside to lake to sprinter van-it gets around!I would like to add more and, honestly, just expand my home system to outdoors- I know Move is somewhat ok with outdoor weather, but is there anyone that works outdoors or one in the works for outdoors? I could put the speaker under an awning, so it would take the brunt of the weather, but could not guarantee it wouldn't get wet. Thanks
I have had my Playbar for over eight years. Starting the last few months my playbar stops working and shows a “wrench” on the app. Only fix is to unplug the bar and power cycle it back to life. It then starts working again. Nothing happening with my router (playbar is plugged into internet by Ethernet). Help wife hates troubleshoot electronics while I’m gone.
J'ai une platine vinyle. Je veux une sortie audio vers ma barre de son Sonis Beam.Quel produit dois acheter pour faire ce fonctionnement ?
As of this morning I get the following message when trying to play ‘Virgin Radio UK’ on S1:“Unable to play Virgin Radio UK - the song is not encoded correctly.”It is working as usual on S2.I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the Virgin Radio service on the S1 app.
I have a new router so I need to change my Sonos with the new network name and password. I try the Sonos app to connect to the Sonos device, assume it is through Bluetooth but can not find device. My Sonos works through wireless but to try to connect I connect the Sonos and the new router . Doing this the Sonos works but I want it to work wirelessly. Still connected I go into settings to look for WiFi setup but asks me to login but when I try it says incorrect even after changing password. The app mentions an email account that's starts with an s and the asterisks, I know nothing about this account.I have done this before when I had a new router and can't remember having problems. If I go back to my old router it works ok Thanks I
Se accoppio due move 2 e uno di loro è collegato tramite line in alla tv, il suono esce da entrambi gli speaker....????? Grazie
Here’s a puzzler. 1. I use a connect amp to connect to SONOS. suddenly, when I push the pause/stop button, it does not stop. But here’s a bigger puzzle! tonight I had to turn it off, the pause button didn’t work, so i UNPLUGGED the connect amp. The music kept playing! Not for a few seconds, it just kept on playing!! So...that just isn’t possible, but it did. I swear! Not crazy. It played on. the only way I could stop it was to go find my phone, log on and stop with the app.How is this possible? Anyone?
I'm using a third party music service in which I use an Alexa skill to control. Third party music service is serving up files for my file server. After a while, the music always stops. This doesn't happen to streaming services. At this point, support for that service has run out of things to check. Any ideas where to start? Ping looks fine and I've got plenty of bandwidth. Ipconfig on the speaker, does show dropped packets.Using a Roam on 5gHz wifi.
Like others, I’m pretty miffed at that disappearance of the hardware volume control on the iPhone. The in-app slider is just too sensitive. It’s often difficult to get it to settle exactly on “1” for example (which is too loud now for some reason … another story). A simple solution would be to add + and - buttons at each end of the slider like the bass and treble controls. Why don’t Sonos do that? Seems like a no brainer after the loss of the hardware buttons.
Just ordered a new Samsung Frame TV and Gen 2 Beam. After ordering I came across a lot of posts in various forums about the compatibility of using the Frame TV with Sonos. My understanding is that the Sonos beam never really turns off and goes into standby. Also the frame TV basically does the same when in art mode. Is this an issue or has it been resolved? Should I have just bought a regular tv that turns off? Also, is there an issue with using the one connect box as it relates to eArc connection? Are there other setup issues I should be aware of? Just been seeing a bunch of different confusing things.
I have a couple of old ZP120s and ZP80s in a system I am finally upgrading. The ZP80 is connected to a traditional AV 5.1 surround sound AMP, with HDMI connections to TV/Sky/AppleTV etc. The speakers are B&W with separate Sub and I would like to keep these..Could I replace the AV amp and ZP80 with a new AMP, connected to the TV via HDMI and use the Sub and two front speakers from the AMP and, looking at the knowledge base, use one of my older ConnectAMP ZP120s for the rear speakers… set it up in S2 as a surround sound room ?.. if so, how do you deal with the front speaker?.. if at all?.. I you use a sound bar I think that disables the front surround speakers?.. I know one answer is to buy 2 new AMPS (front and back speakers, but it looks like I could use one of my legacy ConnectAmps as the rear speaker amp and save a bit of ££?.. Anyone done this or knows it would work? Thanks..
I have a large collection of music on my PC and my iTunes library feeds my SONOS library. But I notice that some are missing from SONOS. To take an example, I have 9 albums by the band Santana on iTunes and all of them play OK via iTunes. But only 5 of them are available on Sonos. These ones that do are all either MP3 or M4A files. The others are all WAV files. Does Sonos not recognise WAV files? Have I got to go back and convert all of the WAV files in my collection to (say) MP3?
Hi all!I have just purchased a pair of One SL’s which I plan to put in stereo in the room named stereo. Since I own a One Gen2 allready can I say Hey Sonos play “something” in stereo? Do I have to group the SL’s and One Gen2 first?Thank youNeven
I am a simple noob and kind of slow with all things electronics. Here's my simple question: I'm considering an $85 Wiim Mini or a $140 Wiim Pro streamer to attach to my existing home stereo setup so that it shows in AirPlay on iOS along with my Sonos speakers when I want to stream music or podcasts throughout the house. I have a pair of Sonos Ones and a Sonos Sub Mini, and I use AirPlay 2 (not the Sonos app) to stream music and podcasts. *All I want to do is add my home stereo setup to AirPlay so that I can have synced whole-house audio.* Will a Wiim Mini (or the Pro) get me there? Thanks.
System beam two ones and sub . Sony tv . Why do neither the music or tv volume sliders in settings not do anything.
I would really love to see voice control for more settings like Bass/ Treble/ & Sub Volume. Example-“Hey Sonos, set bass to -4””Hey Sonos, set sub volume to -2”Also it would be cool if you had different options for the increments raising and lowering those settings. For example, instead of just Volume percentage, also add a 0 through 10 scale like the Alexa voice control has. Less spoken words equals easier voice control, e.g., Alexa, set volume to 5. Would anyone else love to see these features added?
Hello,I’ve recently started having issues with Audio dropouts on BBC Sounds again on a playbar “Jakes Room”I had this issue around 2 months ago, along with an issue where changing the volume on the device was heavily delayed. I factory reset this device to solve the volume issue, and it solved the audio dropout too.I’ve submitted a diagnostic “1331804825”RegardsJake
iHeart Radio app service in Sonos is not recognizing my location when playing radio broadcast of local sports game. It plays a continuous loop saying I am outside the broadcast area. I can play the same exact broadcast using the IHeart Radio app on my iPhone. All location services are ON for Sonos and IHeart Radio apps.
Hello,I consider to upgrade my Beeam G1 with two speaker. The title of my subject resume my mind. To make this upgrade, could you advice me about correct speaker ? I read Era 100 will replace Sonos One. The news are not my priority but the financial cost is it !What do you think ?In the future, i’ll add a subwoofer to complete my installation. Thanks
I purchased a 50’ optical cable, joined it with a coupler to the Sonos HDMI to Optical converter and plugged that into my Amp. I am concerned that maybe there is a distance limitation or signal loss from the Samsung TV (new as of 2023) and my amp. I also selected Optical Out on the Samsung TV for Audio and Auto for Audio Type. Do I need a booster or should this just work? I verified that I am selecting TV on the amp as I have this setup working with my DirecTV box to another amp. Moderator edit: removed “Connect” for accuracy
Hello everyone. I have setup my 2 new Sonos Fives with Sub Mini and noticing that one of the speakers sounds like it plays in a mono mode, like if the tweeters were not on or something. I don't know how to better describe the issue... I have tweaked every possible setting that I could think of, but nothing worked. Currently, the music plays through a smart phone and is hooked up using line in connection. Anyone has experienced this? Thanks.
I am working with a company that have asked for assistance with an issue they have with Sonos. Having looked at it today I do not believe is a Sonos issue at all, but am wondering if there is a remedy. They have an LED/Multimedia processor (Taurus TB-60) and have recently purchased a Sonos Arc for the sound. The reason for purchasing was they believed the TB60 had HDMI-ARC, but it doesn’t. It has HDMI loop, and I think this is where the confusion has been made in specification. It has a TRS Balanced 3.5mm output jack, and no optical connection either. I am not an audiophile, but my understanding is that the 3.5mm stereo audio connector would be analogue. Therefore I would need to convert from Analogue to Digital before presentation to the Sonos ARC. Is that correct?Understanding the Sonos ARC only has HDMI in, would the purchase of these two items allow the processor to output sound and the ARC to be able to play it? Note there is no requirement for Dolby/Atmos etc, or an
