D’avance merci. Charles.
Dear Community, I’ve just bought a second subwoofer. The first one is placed underneath by couch. My girlfriend doesn’t want to look at the subwoofer. Is it counterproductive or silly to place the second subwoofer under the couch as well? What would a great place to put it if the first one has to stay under the couch, and I can negotiate to place the second sub somewhere else?
Hi everyone. We have a Audio-Technica AT-LP3WH turntable hooked up to vertically paired Sonos 5s that we just purchased. We are only able to get sound from the left speaker. I searched the forums for suggestions and have done the following:Set the sound to compressed. Set the delay to max. Tried unpairing/repairing the speakers. Tried a different cable Tried plugging in the 3.5 cable to the right speaker. Verified that the cables are secure (note, if the 3.5 is not in all the way I just get sound from the right speaker). We played music via our phones connected to the 5 on the left and it played on both speakers. In all cases with the turntable we just get sound from the left. I contacted Sonos and the technician was also unable to resolve the issue. He did have me remove the stereo pair and we were able to play it on both speakers but not when they were put back as a stereo pair. I also hooked it up to our older Play:5 and then tried to have it played on the paired 5s. In that case,
Hey Sonos EVERY TIME I upgrade my speakers software the system stops working and I have to spend an hour getting it to work. I disabled automatic upgrades in the app but that results in you disabling certain features (truetune) until I upgrade and again waste an hour getting your system to work. Is this even legal ??? I am not the only one unhappy with this ham-fisted approach to software upgrades judging by several community posts. I tried different advices like static IP addresses but the issue persists. I paid good money for your speakers and I expected better from you. Let me control my speakers.
Hi All,I just purchased a pair of ERA 100s that I’ve paired with my Beam Gen 2. When watching TV, about 90% of the sound seems to come from the Beam and the only sound that comes from the ERA 100s are slight background sounds but no voice. Is this normal? Thanks
Hi I would like to connect my device to Sonos to listen to music
Hi, I have the Arc connected to the TV / HDMI ARC I do get the Dolby Atmos when watching Disney plus When using the Bluray : a 4K Ultra / the Arc is indicating Stereo PCM The Arc with my TV on regular cable shows Dobly Digital plus when watching TVThe movie is the same on both samplesThe movie on 4K is set to the highest Dobly setting 5.1…… the TV is set to Dolby Digital plus output I have adjusted all possible types of settings on Audio outputs The TV is a Sony XBR-75X900E Does anyone have any possible solutions?
So Sonos came with the Era series this year and some of customers were under the impression that the Era 100 being a replacement for the Ones were going to be see an upgrade that included upward firing speakers for rear surround applications.. However this didn’t happen.. Era 300 offers a 7.1 upgrade from traditional 5.1 but was introduced as a stand alone speaker specifically not as dedicated rear theater speakers and is pretty large in size which isn’t always applicable for most standard size rooms to be used as rears. They also come with a hefty price so that brings the question .. 1. Will Sonos design a Atmos rear speaker that allows you to upgrade from 5.1 to 7.1, that is smaller/ corner friendly that is a more affordable option to suit customers that have standard size living spaces? something similar to the Ones’s or Era 100’s esthetic design with upward firing speakers and 7.1???
How do I get my wireless network to take the SUB with an Arc
Hi,Situation at this point in time: L+R pair of Sonos Play-1’s, listening to Apple Music Sunday Morning playlist at volume level 1 (one), and it is TOO LOUD! I’ve played with the volume limit feature to control the slider to no result. Setting the limit to 10% gives me no audio at levels 1-9 and too loud at 10. I’d like to control the level to all the way from whisper levels to as normal talking level. Currently the lower levels resolution is just not existing. Please Sonos, allow us to control the lower volumes better! Can this be a feature request please!?Regards,Erik Tamminga
I cannot get my One SL to show in the app. I’ve followed the instructions a few times but after it joins my network I get a message saying it may not show in system and to unplug and finish set in the app. But I am not getting anywhere with this. Anyone got any tips?
Hello,I am trying to retune my system of Arc + 2x One SLs + Sub, after rearranging my room. But every time I run Trueplay, after the first test tone run, I get the “Speaker Problem” error message asking me to check WiFi network. All speakers are working fine and connected to the WiFi. I have rebooted them. Rebooted the router. Even updated the networking settings in the Sonos App. They are updated to the latest firmware. Using an iPhone 14 Pro Max to run the diagnostic. When I ran Trueplay the first time, I had no issues. Any ideas?
I just got Apple Music and the « for you » channel is not working. It says to configure it in Apple Music which I have done, but this channel just not work which makes Apple Music mostly useless!I am properly connected to my Apple Music account on Sonos.
After successfully using Amazon Music on Sonos for a long time my full Amazon music library is no longer being displayed. I am unable to browse artists or albums however playlists are fine. I have had extensive discussions with Sonos and been through all the common fix processes like updating apps uninstalling/installing Sonos/Amazon apps, re booting router etc but the problem remains. Has anyone had this issue and found a solution?
why cant the overpriced sub pair up with arc?
So, I have already posted something similar to this under the impression it was a glitch in the Android UI after update 15.1 but would now like to alter from “ranty” status to “requesty” status. Original thread can be seen here...Now, I firmly believe that this “feature” is a great idea poorly implemented. As someone who views their music library by folder, I can TOTALLY understand the desire to fast-scroll back to the top of a list. What I cannot understand, or even think that people would find at ALL useful is the “back” button performing dual functions. If I press “back”, I want to return to my previous position in the previous list and NOT auto-scroll to the top as well.Would it be so difficult to implement a toggle in settings that decides what function this button performs instead of deciding for us how we should view our collections? Or, like many other apps that involve a great deal of scrolling, an overlay button that appears once you are away from the top of the list that can
Hi AllI have a Sonos Play 1 and use Musicbee as my music manager program. Certain tracks will not play directly from the Music Library or when in a Playlist and I think it has something to do with the format . The music tracks all came from iTunes if that makes any difference. Any help welcome.
I have a Move set up in my home office that is usually in bluetooth mode so it auto-connects to my Samsung monitor. I use the Move for meeting audio from my laptop, which is connected via HDMI to my monitor. The move will emit a long chime, usually in the early hours of the morning. I’m guessing that this is something to do with it identifying a device to pair to?Anyhow, it can wake me up so I’d like to see how I can disable the audio notification or prevent it from happening. I’ve tried putting the Move into standby but it seems to switch itself on after a while.
Just passing on a tip that will hopefully save someone a few frustrating hours.I moved a sub from one room to another with an Amp. The iOSApp did the move perfectly. Music worked initially but then dropped. Performing a factory reset a couple of times would bring the sub back each time but would then drop minutes later. Initially the eero 6 unit was next to the sub and another article said 1m separation was needed. That was not the issue. The root cause was too much distance between the sub and the Amp that were paired/coupled. I switched the sub to a wired port on the eero unit and also connected the Amp to a wired connection. Works perfectly now. Not sure what the maximum allowed distance is but the Amp is located in a metal rack in an attic closet on the second floor on different side of the house.
I have two architectural Sonos in wall speakers that I will be using for my rear surround sound speakers.Should I mount both speakers on the back wall or one on the back wall/one on right wall?I believe back wall is the preferred but majority of the time we will be sitting in the corner of the couch.See below for the proposed locations.
With a stereo pair of ERA 100s, when I connect bluetooth to one speaker, only that speaker has sound, the other speaker of the pair has no sound. Tried it to both speakers of the pair, only the one that was the bluetooth connection has sound. And… when I try to stream radio channels afterwards, only the speaker that had not sound (non-bluetooth paired speaker) now has sound. I did a bluetooth disconnect and received confirmation tone before streaming radio.Tried unpairing and repairing, factory reset on speaker and system reset on the Android app, no change. If I power off and power on both the speakers, then finally I can have stereo sound with streaming radio after trying a bluetooth session.Submitted diagnostics:“Your confirmation number is: 557470626” Moderator edit: moved to new thread
I’m visiting my mom in Nashville for the holidays. I put in a sonos sound bar for her years ago. It’s wired to her router/modem. Trying to play some music, and sonos music search is terribly slow. Checked that she has latest version of the app for iPhone. Everything is up to date. Force restart. nothing improves what I would consider abysmal music search performance. Wifi clocks in at 475Mb/s down. 20 up, it’s not that. Anyone else seen this? Spotify app returns results instantly by comparison.
I cannot understand why this keeps happening - if anyone can help, please do! I have the following set up: A BT Home Hub 2 connected by ethernet to a Netgear Orbi RBR350 Router. Two Play:1 speakers in a stereo pair, connected by ethernet to an unmanaged switch, which is connected by ethernet to a NetGear Orbi RBS350 Satellite, which is connected by ethernet to the Orbi Router. Both of these Play:1 speakers have WiFi turned off. I have a Play One connected by ethernet to a second Netgear Orbi RBS350 Satellite, which is connected by ethernet to the Orbi Router. This Play One also has the WiFi turned off. To all intents and purposes, there is no wireless communication at all for the Sonos products: they do not communicate with each other wirelessly, with the router or satellites wirelessly, or with the internet wirelessly. And yet, every ten of fifteen minutes (mostly with the stereo pair) one or more speakers will completely cut out and disappear from the Sonos app, sometimes for sever
