At issue the multiple lines for single compilation Albums that still has not been fixed.I know this has been “answered” multiple times...incorrectly. Not a feature...a mistake. Music players all over the market work for album compilations, without users having to alter meta data...even free ones...except Sonos.I love Sonos. I have a library of over 14,000 items. No I shouldn't have to change those. Please, reconsider correcting the database method that has led to this problem.Thank you for reconsidering.
I'm going to try to figure out the Sonos connections to surrounds. I'm starting with my main Rooms powered up and updated. I also have a Home Theater Room that has been powered down for a month or so which is what I'll be working with first. It has a Beam gen 1, Sub gen 2 and two One SLs.Initially the Room and speakers aren't visible in the Android app, main Room lists or the About page, they have been powered down long enough to be removed.Powering up just the surrounds, they are still not visible in any app lists, but if I do an update check I am told one is needed. I do not have the 2.4 gHz Sonosnet enabled here and the Beam is powered down so they must be connecting to my home Wi-Fi on my 5 gHz band in order for the app to see the update status. The AP access log confirms this connection and shows it became active soon after I powered the surrounds up. The log also shows they are communicating using the link.Running the update, both One SLs go through the update/reboot LED patterns
Straight out of the box, I have had ongoing issues with these speakers and this is not a comprehensive list!! Frequent updates required, resulting in speakers not working; Frequent loss of connectivity, drop outs, etc. resulting in needing to reconnect each time I wish to play music and during music playback; Speakers not stereo pairing, and never working at the same time when grouped; Inability to run all speakers at the same time (i.e. the sound bar in a separate room) even when not in stereo / groups; Latency in volume adjustments (sometimes up to around 30 seconds or more, or not at all); Latency in music changes, or not at all, and inability to reset the app; Inability to change music being played as the app would not update to the current playlist / music being played; and Lack of availability of support, including emailing the CEO, to assist with resolving issues (online / phone support unavailable). They can’t even call you back when they commit to. In short, th
Just bought a pair of new Eras 100 from COSTCO Canada. The bluetooth streaming from my phone works just fine. No luck with the NAS ...My NAS pathname entered into the app is as follows (in the add music folder section):\\192.168.xxx.xxx\Where “xxx” are 1 to 3 numeric digits of the remainder of the full path - it is an IP address of which it is identical on my MacBook and Windwos PCs.After entering my user ID and password, It won’t let me click/tap done on the screen? There is no error message.Am I missing something obvious? Background: My iPhone is running iOS 26.3; I have a 2024 Macbook Pro with an M4Pro cpu; My NAS is Asus6702T-A613 (18TB, RAID1) using ADM version 5.1.3 and SMB3 highest and SMB2 lowest.
I’m at my wits end trying to find a set up that doesn’t just trade one issue for another.I have the following sonos speakers: 2 Era 100, 1 Sonos:One, and 1 Roam.Starting summer 2025, i started having issues where speakers would show on the sonos app, but i could not play on them either via airplay or the app. they’d show, but there would be no volume control either. It particularly affected the two Eras, then the Roam, and eventually started impacting the One as well.On advice from Sonos, i bought a wireless extender/access point (TP Link RE315) to give the speakers a fixed access point. it was originally set up in extender mode, so had its own SSID (wifi-ext). To be able to airplay between devices without constant SSID (wifi and wifi-ext) switching on my phone and ipad, most things were moved to the new SSID (wifi-ext). this solved the issue, but started experiencing streaming issues on appletv due to fact the wifi speeds were cut in half due to wireless backhaul (that right?).Sonos s
I am wanting to connect 3 Sonos speakers (2 x era 100 and 1 x era 300) to my iPhone to play music for a party. the wireless signal in my house isn’t great and when the speakers are spread out in different rooms they constantly drop out. I am hoping that I can hard wire them to an iPhone to successfully play music for a party. Any idea what wires / adapters I would need to buy and how to connect them all together!?
Will try to be as descriptive as possible without being confusing. Need a little help and/or explanation. In a vacation home I had 1 pair of Era 100, 1 pair of One SL, a Beam and mini sub. I currently upgraded the vacation home to 1 pair of Fives, 1 pair of Era 300, the Arc Ultra and Gen 4 sub. I kept the pairs of Era 100 and One SL in the vacation home and put them in 2 different rooms and have them set up and they are working. I posted the question about speaker placement about a month ago but I haven’t had the chance to finish setting up everything else yet. I ended up taking the Beam and the mini sub from the vacation home to my permanent home to use in the basement. At my permanent home I use the Sonos S1 app while in the vacation home I use the Sonos app. My question is, since the beam and mini sub were setup on the Sonos app can I set up them up for use in the basement on the Sonos app using my home network? And by doing so will I screw up anything with on the Sonos S1
I’m a very satisfied user of Sonos, having a surround system with a Beam and two Era 100, plus two other Era 100 in other rooms. BUT… there is one thing that annoys me very much with the TV surround setting. There is no way to choose for a setting where the sound would come out in the same way from all the speakers. This means that when you look at TV shows, sometimes the sound comes only out of the front center Beam speaker when there is mainly speech, and then all of a sudden there is some background music in the show and then only it comes out of the rear Era speakers. Even worse when I listen to a music concert on TV, the speech (singing) comes only from the front center speaker (with some music) and only music is coming out of the rear speakers. Sorry but for me this is very disturbing and not at all the right music experience. So my simple question is to Sonos: just foresee a setting for TV sound where the sound comes out of all speakers unprocessed or unfiltered in the same way
Hi allehat settings on the equaliser would you normally have?currently treble is +9 and bass -3 I know it’s personal preference but is there a rough guide for tv, music fiilms etc please
I think it would be better if there was more space for a track name in the queue. If the three lines used to move tracks were hidden until an Edit command ( added to the 3 dot menu ) was available. That new Edit command would bring up the 3 lines that allow the moving of a track. Another option would be a smaller font size for the track names. You can see in the screenshot of Nielsen symphonies where you cannot see what the symphony number is. If the 3 lines were not there that symphony number might show. Another issue with having the 3 lines always there is when I scroll on occasion I’ll accidentally move a track.
Hello everyone,Lately, I've noticed the volume level seems lower when integrating Sonos and Spotify. I've tested this on several Era 100s, Fives, and Sonos Ones, and I find myself needing to increase the volume significantly compared to last week. Do you know if there have been any recent changes to the Spotify integration volume? This occurs whether using Spotify Connect and the Sonos app. Do you have the same feeling?
I keep getting the message “Access denied” or “Content is unavailable” and cannot play the music I want to.Why?
I have a Sonos Arc system, two Era300s, and a Gen3 subwoofer. I'd like to have a button within the surround sound speaker options that allows me to set it to full surround sound mode for TV sources when they're PCM stereo 2.0. Just like with music, this is disabled if it detects a 5.1 source, Atmos, etc. This way, we could play any YouTube content or Spotify music on the TV in full surround sound. It would just need to be added to the Sonos app, and users could enable it. Disabled, it would work the same as it does now. Thanks!
I’ve added my sub4 2x era300 arc ultra to app what do I need to do in the app to finish it offthank-youin advance
Hvordan ser jeg om min Amp leverer det Losless signal spotify kan levere? Min mobil og Ipad kan og når jeg streamer (via eget netværk) til min Amp så spiller den da, men om det er losless ved jeg ikke… How do i know if my Amp delivers the Losless signal that Spotify does ? My mobile and Ipad does and when i stream (my own network) to the Amp it plays - but if its Losless - i couldn´t say...
I spent $2500 on a system that I deeply regret because of the app. The speakers aren’t the problem, it’s the app. Now I have system for sale on Marketplace for a 1/3 of what I paid and absolutely no interest. And why isn’t app an option in the subject drop down menu?I would not recommend.
I have two Sonos 1SL in two different rooms. I have WiFi repeaters, my phone picks up the repeater as well as the main router. When I leave my home, sometimes- not always- my speakers drop off wifi. I want them to remain on as I leave the radio on for my dogs. Why does this happen? I suspect because of the wifi repeaters. I wanted to get a cd player hifi to play cds and to stop this “dripping out” when I go out. Discovered that Sonos 1SL can’t connect by Bluetooth or wires. I do not want to spend £400 on a sonos port as I am not enamoured enough by the Sonos and so don’t want to invest any more money into them. Can anyone please help me to achieve what I want to as described. Thank you
I have several ROAM and ERAs in my home system. One of my ROAM started playing at supper low volume. Maxing it out, either manually or through the app, it doesn't play at even half the volume as other ROAMs in my system. What could the issue be?
Seemingly 9 years later….I set up my Beam, Era 300’s, and 3 Plays. Is there a way to group all of those together? My TV remote only controls volume for the beam group. I do not see a way to add the Play’s to the beam/300 group. I see the same comments from 9 years ago. With responses that are a bit alarming. Paraphrasing, “Sonos usually takes a significant amount of time to update things in their system if there are a plethora of requests. This is not something that many request.”Interesting.My response to that thought. Not many typically want excellence if it costs them three to five times the average amount of money. If there is no easy way to control the volume on my system with a TV remote, am I not living in the 80’s with several remotes in front of me? A good point is when the phone rings and I merely want to mute or lower the volume. In today’s world this happens to most of us often. Why is it I cannot group my speakers in custom groups any way I see fit and control the grou
If you Airplay to a Playbase + Sonos One + Sub over WiFi, it will stutter. The only way to stop the stuttering is disabling Surround, which is quite inconvenient since everytime you switch to TV viewing you have to go to the app and enable it again. There are quite a lot of threads blaming it on the WiFi coverage, 2.4 Ghz and 5Ghz channels, even blaming the WiFi chips on the hardware. The only solution is wiring the ethernet in the Playbase, or as I have said, disabling the surround.Since Surround works with Library over wifi and the normal TV, it really looks like a software bug which could be easily fixed. Even if it’s a hardware limitation, then when you airplay to the playbase the software could switch the sorround off for you.Just so if anyone has the same setup they don’t waste time trying to fix it: either wire the playbase, disable surround everytime you airplay music, or don’t airplay until Sonos release a fix (unlikely)
Hello everyone,I have one group set up in my living room that consists of Arc Ultra, Sub , Sonos One SL’s for surrounds. I also have two Sonos Era 300’s I bought for mainly playing music. (not going to use while watching tv). When playing a song on Apple music i selected my living room set up and my Era 300’s the music starts but as soon as i try to move volume slider the music stops completely? When I take off the TV set up and only play through 300’s, volume is fine to use? Any ideas why playing over two groups my controls not working properly?
I read a lot of complaints from new users about how difficult it is to add a local share containing their music. I remember years ago when BlueSound used to look for shares on my network. Then a list of those shares was generated with the proper path shown. All you had to do was pick which shares you wanted to index. For some reason BlueSound eliminated that feature. Can someone tell me why a feature like that would no longer be implemented. Seems logical that Sonos may want to implement a feature like this to make life easier for new users. Of course what might make this moot is the fact that new users would have to have available shares on their network. In my case shares on a backup NAS were available and BlueSound found that share along with others I was not aware existed.
I have Sonos Beam (gen 1) running thru Sony Bravia TV (uses Android, very awkward) with speakers in multiple rooms. Want to add Roku Ultra streaming device so TV and streaming is simpler to operate. Anyone have experience, feedback, etc. is welcome using Roku w/existing Sonos setup?
Play:1 Speaker connection issues after update So after yet another update the loss of two of my speakers from my system and followed all procedures that seemed no to work I did the following for a full system reset.you will need a network cable from home routerPower off and reset all speakers so they all drop off the app then power them off. From Sonos app settings >switch system then >Set up a new system. Connect the first speaker to the Router with a Network cable. Get the app ready to add a speaker Press the play/pause & + buttons and power on until the light flashes white/orange. From the app add select the add speaker follow the instructions from the app. Once this has been added to the Sonos app get the next speaker ready but do not plug in the network cable. Repeat the Power on reset process and add the speaker do not plug in the network cable just add to your wifi. If the speaker failed at the speaker update part then from setting you should have the speaker you added
