Sonos won’t add my sub and arc to my Sonos account even after multiple factory resets.
Anyone else having this issue with the new Sonos App? I have Sonos Playlists from different services, Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Slacker and they used to all play at the same volume level. Yesterday, I was playing music for a pool party and the volume was way loud with some songs and other way quiet. First time I’ve had this issue but it was extremely annoying. Guest were displeased, and neighbors likely offended. Had to keep modifying the volume every two or three songs. Kinda made Sonos unusable. Two questionsanyone else having this issue? Did the old S2 app have a Volume Normalization? (think I remember that but don’t have access to S2 anymore).
Upgraded my Sonos system from Play 1 and Play 3 thinking that newer models would work with the app since they haven’t worked AT ALL since May no matter how many times I attempted to add them back into the system. Boy was I wrong!!!!!! I receive the error message that no products are attached to my network. So I need to add new my speakers back into my internet system. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. And once the speakers are added back into the system, they don’t show up in the app. I can tell a speaker to play something by using “Hey Sonos” and it will play but it does not respond to Alexa or Siri. And still does not show up in the system.None of the speakers show up on the app, so of course I can’t group them. I’ve just about had it with this app and am about 1 day from sending this crap back for a refund.
It’s the 4th of July, having a get-together and NO MUSIC!!!! Ever since the new software update, Sonos hasn’t been playing anything. I’ve done everything, including removing and reinstalling the app. Any other work arounds? THIS SUCKS and now I’m thinking a new sound system is in order
Ever since the new sonos app update I have been unable to add my siriusxm canada acct to sonos. It was fine before the update. When it updated, it dumped SiriusXM. I have tried everything I know of and cannot get it added back as a sonos service. Help. It keeps telling me check your internet service, meanwhile other stations are playing. Obviously I have internet
For those who have been using the Sonos proprietary(ish) file sharing built into the about-to-be-deprecated Windows desktop client (SonosLibraryShare.exe), here are the steps to enable Windows 11 ‘native’ SMB file sharing (applies to Windows 10 with some nomenclature differences). Godspeed to all.If you’re running an up-to-date version of Windows 10 or 11, you’ll automagically get SMBv2 which is forward-compatible with Sonos. (SMBv1 and SMBv2 discussed at length elsewhere in these forums).1. Switch your LAN to “Private Network”Settings > Network & internet > Ethernet/WiFi- Select “Private Network” radio button2. Enable file sharingSettings > Network & internet > Advanced sharing settings- Under “Private networks” (current profile) section - Set “Network discovery” On - Set “Setup network connected devices automatically” checked - Set “File and printer sharing” On3. Setup local account specifically for music file sharingOh man, I can’t tackle the whole “loca
My Sub Mini doesn’t respond to setting commands
Sonos really screwed the pooch on the update. Nothing connects now, simplicity is gone. What in wide world of sports were you thinking????? Was there any real world testing done? Massive screw-up. Thinking of pitching what I have and starting over with another brand. Awful product
Howdy. I am trying to find something that will facilitate the following: Current setup: Sonos Amp, Klipsch rock speaker (uses both left and right channel), Klipsh aw-650 (left and right speakers) Let’s call the above ‘pool speakers’ Another aw-650, let’s call this pair ‘hot tub speakers’ Right now i double stack the pool speakers to the sonos amp in the summer when using the pool In the winter I manually rewire by detaching the pool speakers and plugging in the hot tub speakers which works fine. But in the shoulder seasons I want to be able to quickly switch between the two and due to the placement of the sonos box it is a pain to do frequently and is less than quick. I want a simple way to accomplish a quick and easy switch when I want it. I do not want a volume control device or anything that is going to add notable or problematic impedance. I also do not want to buy another sonos amp which would be an overkill expense for my use case since I never want the pool and hot tub speakers
https://www.techradar.com/televisions/soundbars/why-the-sonos-arc-2-is-my-most-anticipated-tv-upgrade-of-2024 I ran across this article and thought it was interesting. I am generally skeptical that an Arc 2 will come out any time soon, but the projected features are interested, and perhaps worthy of a discussion.1 - wireless content. I think this is a bit more complex that the author states. Not only does the TV or projector need to send the audio data (and control) wirelessly to soundbar, but it would need to have in built in controls over the timing to make sure audio and video are in sync. An HDMI dongle might be able to do this, but it would have to be on the source side, meaning you can’t use your smart TV apps for it, meaning you’ve still got to have wires.I tend to think wireless content is overrated anyway. The TV and the soundbar both need power cords, and I don’t think 2 cords is significantly better over 3.2- smaller size. I am not bothered by the Arc size. If your T
Yesterday I came here complaining that the volume sliders lag or are unresponsive. Sometimes they just reset downward when trying to turn the volume down. well….i did the iOS 18 beta update and the lagging (or resetting) volume problem is gone. I can’t believe it. iOS 18 betapro max 15I’d send you the build but I can’t cut and paste it. If it’s important you you, reach out
Sonos pushed this out to the headphones today but without release notes. Anybody tell a difference?
Calm Radio stations don't appear in the wake of the app update disaster. The service is still there, but it does nothing. Yet the Sonos status page lists it as working. That's three of my favourite services gone today--Calm Radio, CBC and Amazon Music. Great work, Sonos!
I am located in Sydney, Australia, and it’s nearly impossible to get support here, so I’m reaching out for help. My ACE device is less than three months old, and there are what appear to be palm print marks on the exterior case that cannot be wiped off. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I’m really upset that such an expensive purchase has such poor build quality.
I’ve had Sonos for well over a decade now and have upgraded to all of the new stuff when it comes out and for the most part Sonos has been very stable for me. however, I’m working on having a more elevated sound experience and I went out and bought some KEFLS50 and KEFLS60 speakers and KF92 subs. I still have a house full of Sonos speakers and that’s not gonna change. I just thought I would try a different music server. I’m not sure if it’s in my head or not but I think that Roon just sounds more defined vs the Sonos App? The bass hits a little harder and the vocals sound just a little bit more crisp. Is this in my head or for those of you with Roon have you noticed a better quality sound through your Sonos speakers? It’s super easy to group speakers, I can’t believe I set the Roon nucleus one up by myself! Have a long way to go to figure everything out given I’ve only had it now for 24 hours, but it’s pretty cool.
When I bought the speaker, I thought it would be possible to switch the “move” between networks. Namely, from friends, work, and home. After a lot of searching online, I still don't know if this is possible or not. Hence, my question, “how can I connect my move to multiple networks without a factory reset”. Online, it states that the move can remember up to 6 SSIDs. The Sonos app 2 also sees the move when I switch networks and even tells me to add it as a trusted network. Then, when I click the ok button, it keeps on “searching for system…”. Do you have a definitive answer as to whether or not it is possible to move between networks without a factory reset?
Sonos is like an old friend. From the S1 stuff, what 20 years ago to now. I love this s..t. Really do. Will I stick with them. Absolutely. Am I happy with the current bricking of the playlist. Haeeeeeeel no. Maybe the current C levels need to go. I don’t know. What I do know is the pros of this magnificent system outweighs the cons. They will fix the playlist. They will improve the app. And when they do, I’ll be in love again.
Surround speakers stop connecting. They sometimes show up on the APP but still not working. This happens all the time. I restart the router and SOMETIMES that helps, but now, after doing that still nothing. I’m at a loss. I”VE UNPLUGGED/PLUGGED/RESTARTED/TURNED OFF ROUTER/TURNED ON ROUTER. NOTHING. This is expensive stuff and IT SHOULD JUST F****** WORKModerator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
I tried to TruePlay Arc / Sub / Ones but the tuning is simply stuck on “Continue” step.I’ve updated to the latest version 80.00.04. @Corry P do u guys are aware of this?
With this week’s update, many things are broken again. Including now my Roam is “unable to connect”. This happened shortly after the first release of this new piece of junk app but was later fixed. Now it is broke again and my Roam is useless for now. I am so fed up with Sonos…. As a software engineering manager and configuration control expert, it frustrates me beyond belief when a “professional” organization breaks things that once worked. I am looking forward to a big class action suit. I won’t even start on what else is broke again… did you just push out the original new app?
Good morning from the UK. I had an email from the CEO of Sonos who was apologising to Sonos customers for the poor performance of the latest Sonos S2 update. There was a personal invite to contact him, including his direct email address. Why oh why did I get a reply from noreply@salesforce.com? I spent quite some time constructing my email which I believe would offer some sound advice on how things at Sonos could improve. The reply I had is like marking your own homework. I'm being realistic here, as I know that the CEO will be inundated with emails from disgruntled Sonos customers, but don't put out your email address and get someone else to respond based on their own thoughts. I want to get through the Organ grinder, not the monkey. I am not suggesting employees at Sonos are monkeys, it's just an analogy to get to the top.
When the “upgraded” app was released, as you all know - it was a major debacle. I tried to give Sonos some time, figuring the Product Team rushed the developers & project team, just so they could start selling the headphones. However, it’s been several weeks, and there are still major bugs. I’ve spent multiple hours reading things on the Community site (since it’s impossible to get through to Tech Support, and that seems like a lost cause anyway)… and found workaround to some issues, but I’d like to list others I haven’t found a solution for, in case anyone knows of a fix. (Why we have to spend this much time figuring out workarounds for something that used to work just fine is beyond me...) I’ve read the various links (ex.https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/the-new-sonos-app-and-future-feature-updates) posted about “planned upgrades” (i.e. restoring previous functionality) and bug fixes, but don’t see anything in the near future about these items. I’ve restarted my system
The update installed on July 18 or 19 shows “No selections are available” for my windows 10 music library. The folder adds to the system and appears in the selection menu for Sonos, but gives the”No selections” message. The system was working fine and once again, the update “screwed the pooch.”Any ideas out there? Sonos has a fix for a MAC, but I have a PC
I will never buy anything else from Sonos - the app is unusable - the only way I can change music is from the desktop app - the old app working fine but now I am forced to update, which basically breaks my Sonos system. I hope someone from Sonos management reads these forums - this is how companies go bust, by making their products worse and worse.Sorry for the rant but I am so frustrated.
So I have spent HOURS on calls with Sonos support, and with HP Aruba to try to fix issues that were down to a badly tested app?I’ve even bought a new network to replace ArubaI’ve lost all my Sonos favourites, and playlists built over many yearsMy speakers either won’t connect or won’t react to controlThe desktop controller app (Mac) is now in an endless update loop WHAT A MESS! And now we get some half baked apology and statements about fixing some issues over THREE MONTHS What are the best alternatives to Sonos? Where is everyone going to go to?
