Why do I really have to crank up the volume on my ARC listening to Bluetooth versus something right from my TV
I have Sonos for PC version 17.2.1 and Windows 11 24H2. Sonos components 1 Boost, 1 Connect Amp, 1 Play 3 and 2 Play1'sBoth the Sonos app on iOS and Android work perfectly. My Issue is:If I open the PC Sonos app while my antivirus is running it immediately shuts itself down. I can open Sonos app before I load the antivirus software and it works perfectly, if I keep it open it works OK even after the antivirus is loaded and running, but if I close it I can’t reopen it again without shutting down the antivirus.I have made sure that both Sonos.exe and Library Services are allowed through the firewall. It is running on a private network.I have tested the issue with the following antivirus systems: Bitdefender (my preferred), Norton, Malwarebytes and Windows Defender. All produced exactly the same issue.Does anyone have any suggestions?Tony
Hello, For the first Time, Qobuz is not avaible in my SONOS S1 , on IOS , IPADOS and Mac OS , I changed nothing , my internet is OK, I can use Spotify and others on Sonos S1 , there’s just a message trying Qobuz on SONOS « communication not possible » I still can listen Music on Qobuz application but not possible to send next on AirPlay 2 on Sonos devices I close Sonos application, try to reload Qobuz rights on Sonos S1 , but still not working. Is there a technical problème between Qobuz and Sonos since Yesterday ? Thanks
When I want to use the line input (I have the A2D USB-C adapter) on my Era 300 to play my turntable or cassette deck, the speaker doesn't detect that I've switched from streaming and am now using the line input. It doesn't happen automatically. I have to manually unplug & reinsert the line in before the speaker switches over which is, tbh, incredibly annoying. Is there a way to switch sources over in the app? Or is there a voice command? I can't find an option anywhere which seems crazy. Having to reach around to the back of the speaker and fiddle with the 3.5mm jack is really frustrating. I can't believe there's not an easier way on an AUD$750.00 speaker.
Merci d'avance Moderator Edit: Translation by Google Translate- HelloI have several Sonos products, some compatible with S1 (Amp and Play 1L) and others compatible with S2. I managed to configure my network under S2 without any problems. But I would like to have a second network dedicated to my TV sound, via the Sonos Amp and my two Play 1Ls. Is this technically possible using the same Wi-Fi network? Thanks in advance.
I've connected my sonos ace to both my phone and my TV. But I can't manage to switch and get the sound from the tv.
Hello all! I thought I was fairly tech savvy after working in the tech industry for 22 years. However, I’m having one heck of a time getting my Sonos arc SL and two era 100 surround speakers to speak together to create a home theater environment. I have the Eras paired as a stereo pair in a system called ‘Living Room’my Arc SL is in a different Living Room system that is Living Room Arc SL error message:Two compatible Sonos speakers are required to add surrounds. Make sure your products are powered on and joined to the wireless network (which they are)
I’ve been having serious problems with Pocket Casts ever since the major Sonos app overhaul. I’m finding that “New Releases” under PocketCasts often does not load properly. At this point, I can force it to load by tapping “Try again” after that appears and that will manually load the podcasts. I have a shortcut on my homescreen for PocketCasts New Releases and pretty much every time I open the app that will say unable to load. If I remove that shortcut, reauthorize PocketCasts and add it again, often it will appear but then it doesn’t update and soon shows the “Unable to load” status again. This has been happening despite my trying all kinds of things to resolve this: reauthorizing PocketCasts, removing it as a content service and then re-adding it, updating the app, resetting the app, changing control channels, tweaking my wifi settings, etc. I used to use an Android phone to control Sonos but currently I have a newer iPad Pro, an iPhone 14 Pro, and an older iPad from about 10 years a
SONOS don't seem to care that their app is awful - I'm spoken to their tech guys and changed wifi settings, which has reduced range and functions on some other items - it's still awful. It's worked properly for maybe a month in total solid since I brought my system (2xEra 300, 1 x Era 100) last February. Given that it requires the app so heavily it is not fit for purpose under the consumer rights act in the UK and I'm going to be returning all of mine. Any suggestions on something is similar quality but less crap? I’m thinking BOSE. The SONOS sound quality is good, but it’s not worth it not working 90% of the time.
I see that era 300 speakers are on sale for $100 off now, but I am concerned that after spending thousands of dollars over the years on Sonos products as to the health of the company because of their app fiasco as to whether they will be around in the future. Not sure what to do.
Grazie in anticipo. Moderator Note: Translation by Google Translate- Good morning, I have a beam bar connected via HDMI cable to the Samsung TV, now I have to buy two more speakers and a Sonos sub. Will the speakers that are far from the TV connect to the TV, the beam bar, and the sub via Wi-Fi? That is, without connecting an HDMI cable? Is the only cable they have, if I understand correctly, the power cable, or do they have batteries that recharge? And is the sub also Wi-Fi, or does it require an HDMI cable? Thanks in advance.
I have 2 x Era 300 - sound great and no problems when they work. I have my turntable connected via BT and also my PC using the wifi from spotify. If I play on the turn table I will not then be able to connect from my pc after until I cut power and restart the era’sAny way to stop this? I just want a seamless swap between if possible.
I’m looking for advice on where to put two Era 100s for a surround setup. You can see in the image below we have a strange, bi-level house. The TV, beam (gen 2), and the sub-mini are on the right side of the image below. The common TV viewing points are the sectional and the kitchen table and this setup would be used for movies, TV shows, sports, and music. There’s a railing right behind the sectional where the stairs are and the back wall is about 6.5 feet behind the couch. I’m considering either mounting the era 100s to the railing posts (this wouldn’t look very clean), adding a skinny table behind the sectional for the era 100s, or running some outlets up the back wall and mounting the era 100s to the wall (this feels like the rear speakers would be too far away and might lose sound to the basement). Does anyone have any better ideas or any thoughts on the existing ideas? Any advice would be much appreciated.
I recently purchased a Marantz 7725 2 channel power amp to drive my LR mini towers. To simplify and automate the system for my wife, I intentionally chose an amp that had a 12VDC trigger input. Imagine my surprise when the Port failed to trigger the amp! Grr! I tried Sonos support and the newbie on the line didn’t even know what a trigger was, no less it’s functionality. Double grrr!I am a retired Cedía guy, so I went to this forum to do some research, and learned that the Port’s trigger can only synch 200ma, which is pretty lame IMO. I could not find a spec on the current draw on the Marantz, but I was pretty sure I knew the solution. I bought a 12VDC SPST relay (ELK 912 that I’d been using for years) that draws 40ma from the coil. The Port triggered it open and closed as expected. I used it to close the circuit of a standard wall wart (500ma) and viola! Problem solved. Sigh…. My love/hate relationship with Sonos continues. At least I got my Music Library back (finally!!!). I was a d
I have 2 ‘five’s setup in stereo, will a sub really make that much of a difference?
I am building a new space. I plan on having an Arc Ultra under the TV and a pair of 8” in ceiling speakers slightly behind the viewing couch. I also plan on dual sub 4s. Is it better to have them up front on either side of the TV, or on either side of the couch, or behind the couch on either side? As I need to plan outlet placement and some other features in advance, I can’t test this out after the room is built.
I just subscribed to Sonos Radio HD, but the “HD” label isn’t showing in Now Playing. I tried reauthorizing and even deleted and reinstalled the Sonos app, but it still didn’t fix the issue.
Qué me recomendais? Moderator Note: Translation by Google Translate - Hello,I have an L-shaped living room. The narrowest part of the L houses the dining area, and the wider area houses the TV (opposite the wall), which is located in a double-height area. I'd like to install a Sonos system to play music in both areas. What do you recommend?
I do reboot my wifi system on a weekly basis on 2 am (there is a feature within the deco). I have 6 deco devices spread over the house. After each restart some sonos speaker are unavailable and all ungrouped. Alarm does not work at all. After few hours!!! most of the speaker recover by themself, some manual handling is allways required.
Spotify doesnt connect to sonos system. I have an arc an sub and 2 are 100's. Its an expensive system. Its been going on for a couple of weeks. When i power off the router and turn it back on it works again til i use my tv again and im unable to reconnect to the speakers. Its been point out multiple times by the community and also on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/s/kmnD6vGcHx The lack of a response from sonos is just unheard off. Its an premium and expensive System they should fix this issue sooner than later. Same with the apple music that cant connection they obviously have an IT / IP-DNS issue and should write a statement to there users instead of this hide and seek stuff. 52 reply's on reddit with users with issues. You cant just tell me this is a local problem. So sonos get youre s*** together and please fix it Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct
I noticed that since the latest update, press and hold play now does not work on favorites. It works on everything else. Tapping once on favorites still works.
I have an android (15) phone. I had a system set up at the old house with no issues. We just moved, and when I attempt to set up with the new network, I keep being told I need to update the app. But when I go to the play store, there isn’t a new version, and doesn’t appear to be anywhere I can update anything at all (only the options to open or uninstall, I already uninstalled and reinstalled). Can I fix this, or is my investment up in smoke?
