Hi, we’re refurbishing a 1967 Zenith x930 stereo console. I’m thinking of replacing the record changer and speakers with an updated turntable and a pair of Sonos speakers. The speakers will go where the old speakers were behind the covers. Any suggestions for a turntable that will work with Sonos speakers? Any suggestions for the right set of Sonos speakers? I currently have a pair of 2012 Fives and am wondering if they have improved enough to buy new ones. thanks
I originally had a Sonos amp connected to my TVs eARC, and then the amp was wired into two ceiling speakers….. that setup all worked fine. But now I have the Sonos arc, What I did was plug the arc into the TV eARC (The HDMI connection previously used by the amp), and left the amp just powered on with the speaker connections only. However, ever since I was able to get the arc going, I’ve lost all connection and control to the amp and subsequently the speakers which I want to use as rears. I’ve tried disconnecting and resetting, but still no luck.Any advice to fix would be very much appreciated?
Just purchased three arc sound bar with sub. Also 2 era 300's. Sounds great. I went through each speaker setup which was quite easy. The era 300's are only putting out background sounds. I was hoping because our room is quite large that they would help in hearing the words/voices of the movie. Did I configure them wrong? I did have each one run the "tuning". Any help would be great. Thanks
Hello. It looks like the Sonos App for iOS has lost its capability to provide the numerical battery percentage information. I am on the latest version (version 80.11.51). I see the percentages on the Sonos App for Android. Therefore this problem seems to be unique to the iOS app. The percentages used to be displayed even couple of weeks back, so it seems to be a bug added to the code in the latest iteration. I guess it keeps the developers busy :) Anyone else seen this issue? If yes, is there a fix in work?
I have the Sonos S5. It is utterly useless as a speaker or streaming device. But, I still would like to use it and heard it can be daisy chained with a Sonos product that still has the ability to stream, etc.. What are the Sonos products that I can purchase which then could be use and enable my S5 to work? Thanks in advance.
How do I connect a turntable with a pair of Sonos speakers? Thanks.
Anyone know how to remedy the “No Products Found” and/or “There are no connected products” messages? They show up for a few seconds and then clear out. But after my phone goes to sleep they show up again when I access the app. There’ no interruption in music but it’s annoying. The app just isn’t stable. Thanks
Hi, I’m in the UK and have recently joined Apple Music. I’ve tried to add it as a service to my Sonos app but comes up ‘no results for Apple Music’ any ideas?
I have a network where there is a wireless router in my house, and then a backyard office on the same network, hard wired between the house and office, and then a wireless access point in the office. a number of weeks ago my Sonos system stopped detecting my Sonos system in the entire house and office when in my living room. At the same time, when in the office I could see the whole sypstem except my Living Room (Beam Gen 1, One SL’s, Sub Gen 2). There have been no changes in my router settings and I do have the latest version of the app.I tried re-adding my Living Room, but soft reboots weren’t doing anything. I tried connecting my Beam via Ethernet, and that didn’t do anything.i tried a hard reboot with my beam and it was added, but it still could not detect any other devices or rooms, even when trying to add other devices in my living room. I then went to the backyard office and I could see the entire system except the Living Room Beam I just added. When going back to the house, i
Sonos app not working properly. Having problem loading my system and cannot see my products. Tried deleting the app and reinstall. Still no progress. Please help. Enough of this app not working stuff. thanks
I am BEYOND frustrated. I believe there should be a class action suit against Sonos. Every single time I try to play anything on my system, every single speaker comes in and out and the music seems to randomly skip around. I have read all of the fixes on here and I did not spend thousands of dollars on a system that requires me to have a degree in Computer Science to work. Thousands of dollars and we can’t just play music. how are they able to continue selling these products that do not work as described. 2 of our speakers are mounted @11’ and I am constantly being told to unplug each speaker/arc, etc and reboot my router. That is the answer every time and it’s unacceptable.
Does Sonos have a recommended/proven router/wifi extension mesh system that works best for Era 100 and Move2 wireless speakers in the home? I am currently using a Zyexl router and Eeros wifi mesh and Sonos system disconnects constantly as it is seeing a “shadow” network and IP addresses. When I unplug the Eeros wifi mesh, I have no issues with speaker connectivity, but I need the wifi mesh system for wifi coverage in the whole house. Please send me any recommendations for router/mesh system combinations that have been shown to work with Sonos systems.
I’m considering upgrading from an ARC to an ARC Ultra. I already own a Sub 4 and two One SL surrounds. My question what’s your opinion on whether I should upgrade my two One SL surround speakers to ERA 100s, should I purchase an ARC Ultra. Thanks!
Keeps saying I have no system...hard to get to my music
Well, I’m at my wits end and never before have I regretted dropping over £1000 on what I thought was a well researched purchase. You know the score, Sonos pushes out probably the worst app update in the history of app development (seriously, if there’s been anything worse I’d be curious to hear about it) and my local music library, one of the things I bought all these speakers for has not worked since.I’ve read and tried everything that the guides suggest to no avail. I can get the app to recognise and add my music library but no content ever appears. Checked all the Smbv2 settings and Windows 11 seems convinced that nothing is wrong. Out of desperation I did a full windows re-install from scratch and of course that didn’t help. Can anyone who’s managed to achieve the seemingly impossible tell me what they did to finally get it working?
Given the unexplained delay in rolling out TrueCinema capabilities on the Ace, the genius marketing gurus at Sonos better not make me have to buy Arc Ultra to get the promised TrueCinema functionality.Just saying...nothing would surprise me.
I just upgraded to the Arc Ultra and Sub Gen 4. I’ve had everything professionally installed. No matter what we try, we can’t get the surrounds to NOT play through the ultra. The Sub is really low, and the sound stage is completely off. All options have been tried but all tests reveal the surrounds are playing through the left and right channels of the arc as well. Suggestions?
The new Sonos app shows no more than 50 items in the album list. This means that it is no longer possible to browse typically older albums of artists who have many, For example David Bowie and Frank Zappa. But there are many many more of course. Will this be solved soon? Is this a known issue?
A little while ago I had to change out my network controller and Firewall as they were legacy devices and no longer receiving security updates. I was running a UniFi USG and a Gen 1 Cloudkey with a couple of UniFi Access Points. I swapped out the controller and USG for a UniFi Express device and moved my network across. Everything went smoothly and I setup an IOT VLAN for all my smart home devices using a 2.4ghz network only for the WiFi. All of the devices reconnected fine (doorbell camera, rear cctv camera, LED Strips, smart lights etc.) apart from the Symfonisk Speaker. Now to compound the problem this was also around the time of the firmware not updating issue and I had to factory reset the speaker and hardwire it to get it to talk to the Windows client to update.Since then I have tried numerous times to connect the Speaker to my WiFi and it fails every single time. When I go through the process on my Android phone it does everything fine up until it tries to connect to the WiFi an
Even though Play 1's shouldn't work with Arc Ultra, it does.Had Playbar-Gen2 Sub-2xPlay 1. It worked perfectly as a 5.1 surround set.It was time for an upgrade and as such would just upgrade my soundbar and then the rest would come when I could afford it. Yes, I know Gen2 Sub is supported with Ultra. Before installing I removed the surround (play 1's and removed sub) from my Playbar. After that, reset all devices.Installed Arc Ultra. (needed an update)First impression when I had installed Arc Ultra, Wau..Rich bass and fantastic sound, but missed depth from my Sub and could also feel that surround was missing a bit.Connected my Gen2 Sub to SONOS (needed an update) and got it connected to my Ultra. Yes thank you, huge difference.Decided to try if Play 1´s would work even though they shouldn't.Connected the first one to SONOS and then the second one (needed to update) The the app asked if I wanted to add them as Surround.Yes please :)Now I'm sitting and enjoying Deadpool and Wolverine in
How do we get a class action suit going?
Well, this is not a first.... is it. The latest sonos app does now not work for Adroid "Says there is a bug" and won't load. Wait for the app to be updated. ????…Also, the NAS drive , in either IOS or Android has not been fixed..... still no access !!!!!An email to say all is well....... unfortunately it is NOT. I despair... it really is a joke. 😡SONOS… you really need to get a grip. !!!
I have read enough recent Community posts about library indexing issues to know I am not alone in continuing to experience NAS drive synching problems following the app update debacle in May. The Sonos bug fix techs published a simple Trello based planning tool in August. Is a consolidated list available of how these bugs are materializing in detail? I ask because I spent over an hour today with a member of the Sonos first line support team who seemed confident that basic steps we took in a screen-sharing session to fix one of my issues would solve a problem. Specifically, I am intentionally deleting albums from my NAS music database but they are still available in my Sonos Library long after re-indexing. The support session failed to fix the problem so both I and Sonos’s amiable support staffer wasted time on an issue that I now presume is still listed on a detailed bug fix to-do list somewhere? I ask this because if my specific bug “symptoms” had been listed in a controlled C
My sonos is running on an older update but thinks its up to date, is there an overide?
I am sure this must have been done to death but is there a reason — that is, we do it this way because “x” — why Sonos doesn’t have a soft power cycle option in its apps? We all know for myriad wifi issues on any networked device power cycling is a go-to, but speaking for anyone who has more than a couple of bookshelf-type speakers, this is a real pain for Sonos. For those where the wall plug is concealed, the power cables are really jammed in. (And to the Reddit guy: no, I do not want to flip breakers for half the house.)I am thinking of exactly the same implementation as Eero has, and Apple’s AirPort range also had. This seems so obvious I am wondering what I am missing? Is it a kind of communist thing that putting the option there would reveal that Sonos knew there was a use-case?
