Volume Issue dolby atmos verus HD or ULTRA HD
When I stream music with the Sonos App from Amazon Music Unlimited to my Sonos Arc + Sub 3 + 2 ERA 300 surround, the volume increases a lot when a Dolby Atmos track plays. I need to lower the volume for at least 10%. Then when a HD or ULTRA HD track follows I need to come back to the initial volume. For example if the standard volume for a HD or ULTRA HD track would be 20%, the same volume for a Dolby Atmos track would be 10%.Setting the lecture mode in fading (“fondu enchaîné” in my french app), doesn’t fix the problem.It’s really annoying !Does somebody know how to fix it ?
NEED Prev Version Sonos 15.1.1 or so
My computer upgraded to the 15.2 but it's an older Mac and I didn't see anything about announcement or anything about the upgrade incompatibilities and now it's not working at all it's crashing. I've got no way to hook up my Sonos speakers at all. please if anyone knows where can I get an older download. This is insane one would think that you could put another earlier version on - most websites know that people keep their computers longer. I really need to keep this computer I can't afford to get a new one please someone help me find an earlier version. I upgraded to 15.2 and it's completely ruined my whole computer please help me.
FEATURE REQUEST - The ability to search for Dolby Atmos specific music with the Sonos App
Not sure if this has already been asked for, but it would be nice if the Sonos App showed which tunes were in Atmos for the new Era 300 speaker. Currently my work around is to find an Atmos album in Amazon via my Amazon Music app, then search again in the Sonos App to play it. It’s a bit of a faff!
Constant problem with interruptions while listening to White Sox games on Chicago ESPN AM 1000 radio
This is a new problem this year. I listen to White Sox games on Chicago radio station ESPN AM 1000: Streaming, Wifi, Sonos speakers, I guess it's "Tune In" radio because that's always mentioned at the start of any transmission. I live in Palos Height, IL which is a suburb of Chicago. I'm hearing the game without problems when suddenly a man's voice says something about White Sox games being blacked out in some areas due to contractual obligations. Then this recording keeps repeating until I tap the Sonos speaker off and then on again. Then I'm back to getting the game until the next interruption. I think these interruptions occur during what would normally be commercial breaks. I listen to Cubs games on a different radio station, but via the same means otherwise, and this never happens during those games. Looking for some resolution to this problem!
Hi I owns a system composed by a sonos arc and two sonos one SL distributed in different roomas. In all of the i have the same problem. I play music from my Android mobile (Galaxy S23 Ultra). I don´t use steaming services, I have de music as mp3 files into the mobile. The problem is that everytime the mobile goes to sleep continuous reproducing music for a time and then interrup it until I unblock the phone and then reconects automatically.I have check into the mobile the configuration for the battery / second plane and I have added Sonos App between the apps without suspension but still have the same problem.Any idea about how to configure the mobile in the right way?
S2 (15.2) won't open days after updating/using
I’ve got a Sonos Play 5 (2nd generation) and I use the S2 app on my MacBook Pro. I updated it recently to 15.2 with no issues. Several days later of using it, the app unexpectedly quit and won’t reopen. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling it - no change. Safeboot and a test user account have no impact. I’ve even tried to install the S1 app but it too crashes upon launch.I understand that 15.2 no longer supports El Capitan (I’m unable to upgrade the macos) but interestingly enough the S1 app has also been updated and it too no longer supports my computer.Is there a link to go back to the previous S2 app version? I’d simply disable automatic updates and that could work.
How to close Sonos app
When I flick off the Sonos app on Android I want it to close. Instead I get this useless notification that says something like -- stopping the app will may interrupt playback notifications. And that notification is persistent (can't be flicked off).This makes me suspicious the Sonos app is running in the background monitoring my activity.How can I close Sonos and have it be inactive like a well behaved app (aside from doing a Fore Stop)?
Spotify skipping tracks in the middle of a song
Is anyone else noticing a lot of skipping in the middle of a song with this newest Sonos app update? My internet is well over 500mbps and all of my speakers appear to have a strong connection. I’m mainly using Spotify premium to stream on over 7 speakers, but with this newest app update (15.2.1) the skipping is becoming more consistent.
Sonos App on Android and Windows doesn't play to devices - error messages
Hi,My Sonos system has fixed IP’s due to speakers missing from some apps (e.g. Spotify/S2)However, when I try and play from the Android S2 App and the Windows Controller app I get error messages saying the following:I have reset my router etc…
After Update, mp3's won't play.
The other night, I updated my system to 15.2.1. Immediately afterwards, songs that had been playing right beforehand returned the message “Unable to play ‘SONG NAME’ - the song is not encoded correctly. The source is Apple Music singed onto Sonos, from my Apple Music library, containing all of my songs uploaded through Apple Match. In every case so far, the songs that error out are songs that I originally ripped from CD years ago. They are all mp3, sample rate 192 kbps. Playing them directly from my phone through airplay works fine (but is a major loss of functionality)Does the new Sonos system not like mp3’s?! Any ideas other than going through and converting them all to Apple Lossless?Thanks,Scott
Unable To Add Songs To Queue
I have spent 48 hours doing research about this issue. I’ve reset my network and turned everything on in sequence. I removed my Amazon account and added it back to Sonos, but no luck. I can play songs from any station via Amazon, but cannot play anything from my play list.
(S1) Playing a SONOS radio station & it just stopped. Went to App to restart, but it wouldn't. Each time it responded with "Unable to play the radio station". Could not get other SONOS favorites to play, either. Went to support, clicked on Chat (Bot) in case there's an easy answer, nothing happened, not even a place to enter the problem. Closed & re-started app. No different. Is SONOS down or is there something else I need to do?
Sonos S1 desktop controller only works with public network
I have several Sonos speakers connected to my home wifi network. For many years, I’ve been able to control the speakers both with the Android app and the Windows desktop app.However, after I reinstalled Windows 10 today, the Sonos desktop app can’t find my Sonos system, unless I set my wifi network as a public network in Windows. The Android controller is still working fine.I have checked my Windows firewall settings and reinstalled the Sonos desktop app several times. I have followed all the steps in Sonos’ configuration guide, where step 4 emphasizes that the network profile must be set to private. But the only way I can get the desktop controller to connect, is to do the opposite, and set it to public.For obvious reasons, I don’t want to define my home wifi as a public network. Does anyone have a solution to this?
Sonos 1 started skipping only certain songs on apple music
Had 2 Sonos speakers for a few years now. Today some songs skip due to “not encoded correctly” error (appears on desktop and app controllers). These songs have always played without. problem previously and they are in a playlist created 10 years ago on iTunes (Where they still work without error). One particular playlist skips the first 3 tracks entirely. I have read some explanations which. claim. it could be wifi interference, but this issue is only on specific songs not constantly.
Cannot play my playlist from Amazon Music using the Sonos app
Hi.In the 'My Sonos' screen in the app I would normally select one of my playlists that is linked to Amazon Music Unlimited. Now when I want to play a song from my list I get a message 'unable to add songs to the queue'.I have turned off the speakers for a about half a minute, uninstalled and reinstalled the app (it is up to date) and also rebooted my phone, but this hasn't worked. I can use the cast function in the Amazon Music app which does work, although it is not as quickly 'responsive' as using the Sonos app when changing songs or fast forwarding etc. However, for other playlists that are available on Amazon (but none of my own) they play OK. So not sure why my list doesn't play?(Is using Cast the same audio quality as streaming directly in the Sonos app? I have Amazon Music Unlimited so stream HD/Ultra HD).Any help appreciated!Thanks.
