Hi, I have a Sonos system set up throughout my home and have had no issues the entire time I’ve had it but over the last couple of months have been experiencing some really annoying issues with it. I have updated all the system and app. I have had the broadband, router and wifi checked and tested and all working fine. The issue I’m having is massive lagging of sound when connecting multiple speakers, literally 5-10 second delay of all eventually syncing to be all on at once then randomly odd speakers dropping completely out then re connecting.I’m also experiencing if I have a playlist playing and leave it to go to next track the sound is fine but if I want to skip to the next track midway through a track everything drops out, some speakers continue to play the track I’m trying to skip whilst others start to play the next track (again all out of sync) eventually all catching up. Everything has been running through wifi and I’ve also tried connecting one or two via Ethernet to eliminate
BBC Radio on Sonos
I’m in Sweden. Currently I can hear BBC Radio on Tune-in, but the broadcast is interrupted now and again with a warning that broadcasting will end in 2023. I’ve been in touch with the BBC who tell me the following:The BBC uses several streaming technologies to deliver BBC Sounds. One of these is called Shoutcast which the BBC will stop using by mid-2023. We recommend that if you hear the message advising of the change, to follow the advice and get in contact with the manufacturer. It might be possible for the device to be updated to use another of stream technologies that we will continue to use (HLS and DASH).Shoutcast is an older streaming technology and many connected radio devices in the UK no longer use it for BBC streams. Ending support for Shoutcast will enable us to focus on HLS and DASH - the two most popular technologies currently used. As well as delivering better value, it will allow us to understand more on how our content is consumed. This forms part of our strategy for B
Add Sonos Speaker to Control4
I have a Control4 system with a multi-room amp running multiple zones of passive in-ceiling speakers. I’d like to add zones to other rooms without running wires. Is it possible to add powered Sonos speakers (like the One or Five) to a Control4 system? I know it can be done with a Port and Passive speakers, but what about powered Wifi speakers?

Two of my Sonos Play 1 speakers keep dropping from my Sonos Controller for PC
I’ve been building out my Sonos system in my home a bit at a time. I started with a Connect amp to power bookshelf speakers in my study and living room; next I added a pair of Play1 speakers in my family room. Then I was gifted a Sonos Move by my kids for Christmas, and subsequently added a Sub to the living room. All of these work well together and separately. They all appear in my iOS app as well as in Sonos Controller for PC (Windows 10). The problem is with the last two additions: a pair of Sonos Play 1 speakers, one in the master bedroom and one in the spare bedroom.. Having carefully and successfully added these two speakers (after resetting and updating both to work with my Sonos2 controller), they periodically cease being able to access my music files on my computer and disappear from the PC controller (though they still appear on my iOS Sonos app and can access SiriusXM). Any help would be greatly appreciated; getting them to reconnect to the rest of my household Sonos s
Change default behaviour from ‘Play’ to ‘Add to queue’
Is there a way to change the default behaviour when clicking a song from Play Now to add to queue? The use case here is when multiple people are controlling the play list (i.e at a party) and each song only gets half way through before someone has not remembered to press the three dots to add to queue. I’m hoping there is a way to change this behaviour in the settings but have not been unable to find anything.
Add Music Services: Amazon Music not showing
I’m in Ireland and using a Sonos One. Under Services and Voice==> Music and Content I have Audible. When I click ‘Add a Service’ to add Amazon Music I have 79 options, but ‘Amazon Music’ is not one of those options.Would anybody know how I could make it appear?
Confused by SMB and music library problem
Hi All,Until last week I was able to access my music library from an unpowered external HDD through my TP_Link Archer VR2800 router. I replaced the unpowered HDD with a Seagate external powered HDD, removing the reference to the existing library and tried to create the new reference. No go. Classic symptoms of the SMB v1 issue that is being discussed.I am running a Windows 10 laptop that has no trouble talking to the router or the Seagate HDD. I can access/play movies/music from there. SMB v1 is disabed on my laptop so the router must be using SMB v2.My Sonos system (3 x Ones, Play:5 and a Beam) are all upgraded to S2. S2 has no SMB v1 capability. This upgrade occurred a while ago (many months to a year if I recall). So everything is running SMB v2. Moreover, the library was working fine last week with the unpowered HDD. Now I can’t add the library on the Seagate HDD and I can’t add the library reference to the old HDD.Saying it’s a simple SMB issue doesn’t feel right...what am
Sonos cannot find music on my PC
Sonos cannot find music on my PC. It is looking for //"laptopname"/Music. I don't have Music in my root directory. I see I have my Music directory under Desktop. My music is in the standard Music directory for Windows 11. How do I fix this? This used to work. I do not have iTunes and am not interested in getting it.
Boost not connecting
I have been running my Sonos system with the same setup for at least two years now. My issue started this morning when I could not access any music. After troubleshooting, I discovered that my Sonos Boost was slightly unplugged. I plugged it back in and reset the Boost device. Now, I can’t add the boost to my system. It either says that it could not find the device, or could not find the network. It basically says “We couldn’t find any Sonos products on XXXXXX (wifi) so we can’t set up your Boost”.I have reset my ios device network, rebooted my router, and reset the Boost device, but still cannot establish a connection with my wifi. I was hoping that my Sonos controller on my PC could assist me, but I think they are two separate systems (?). Any suggestion would help me out greatly.
A removed Sonos device reappears in the list as "Not connected" How do I remove it?
I am using the IOS app and this device will not go away even after a reset, router reboot and full power down. The wrench icon will only trigger a wizard to re-attach the device, nothng to actually delete it permanently. Is there some mysterious trick to getting this device to go away? It is not registered under my account (it was a house guests device, and they took it with them when they left.)
Verifying my email
Hi, I’m new to Sonos and have just bought my first product, a Sonos Arc. It seems that, in order to use it, I have to connect via your app. I have downloaded this and tried to set it up/register an account. I can see and log in to my new account online but the app is stuck on the ‘verify email address’ screen so I can’t use the app until I verify my email. I haven’t received your email with a link to verify my email!
Tidal not authorizing on just one speaker
I have multiple Sonos products and have recently moved back from the US to UK. I have been using the Sonos One’s without problem with my Tidal subscription. I have just connected the Sonos Play 5 Gen 2. When pairing the Play 5 with a Sonos One that is already playing Tidal there is no issue. However when I try to select songs from tidal on just the Play 5 speaker I get the message “You have no active subscriptions” and to go to My.Tidal.COM to manage my account.Any ideas would be appreciated.
Apple Music Playlist Artwork
Hello, For a long time now, I've been having issues with Apple Music playlist artwork showing up as a generic icon on the S2 app on my iPhone, and the same results are from the desktop controller on my Windows 10 laptop I have finally figured out why this is happening, but I still need to figure out how to fix it. If I add the playlists from Apple Music to a Sonos Playlist using the following option, the artwork shows up as expected (see below). I select the option to "Add to Sonos Playlist", and the artwork shows correctly. The playlist is indicated as a Sonos Playlist. If I use the "Add Playlist to My Sonos" option, the album art only shows up as a generic icon, and the playlist is indicated as an Apple Music Playlist. I noticed on the Desktop controller on my Windows laptop that there are two different sections for playlists. One is called Sonos Favorites, and the other is called Sonos Playlists. The "Add to Sonos Playlist" option adds the playlist to the Sonos Playlists
iOS app only showing one product at a time
I would like my Sonos One and new Sonos Five to play the same thing at the same time but the Sonos iOS app only recognises one product at a time.Spotify and other services recognise both and at the same time. They’re both using the same single WiFi network. There are no extenders and no mesh. There has only ever been one household and they’ve never been paired (because that’s not possible). How do I get it to work? Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.
s1 android app not available after phone reset
Hi, I have reset my Android phone (Samsung S10+ with Android 12) and now Play store tells me my phone is not compatible with the S1 app. Yet it was working fine before I reset my phone.App store allows me to download S2 without problems but tells me my network needs S1 (as expected). It then takes me to Play store where it tells me about the app issues. If I search Play store directly, only S2 shows.Any thoughts The only difference now is that I have Google family link running so my daughter can have the phone. Remember the S2 app can be found and downloaded without issues.
Server Cannot Be Found error
Frequently when I select a song from my music library, even from the app on my computer where my music library is hosted, I get the “unable to play xxxxxx, the server cannot be found” error. If I clear the error message and tap play several times though, without changing, resetting, or touching any part if the system in any way, the song will start playing. So in some sense it’s a false error message, as all the devices are on and connected and ready, and the system can do it, just not right away. It happens more often than not when I select a song these days, and it’s annoying. Anyone know what might be behind that or how to make it better?
The app says everything is connected, but it won't play.
Hello,The electrical supply to the house was shut off due to a PowerPoint issue. In the Sonos App, all three rooms appear to be working as soon as the power is restored. Until I try to play something, I cannot get it to play anything. There is no radio program on Tune In. My Tidal streaming account was used to listen to music. Once again, nothing. I need your help!
