Hello,   When i use spotify to play back music through my sonos system, if I adjust the music volume in the spotify app, one of my room volumes increases much greater than the volume in the other rooms. This happens even if if level all the speaker volumes in the sonos app and then go back to the spotify app. Same thing happens, I press the volume up in the spotify app and the speak in my lounge get much louder than the one in my bedroom or dining room. If I go back to the sonos app, the volume levels for the individual rooms in the group are staggered again and not uniform as they were when I set them in the sonos app before going back to the spotify app.   Please can someone offer some suggestions?    I've tried turning off the speaker touch controls and the volume levelling is set to 100% for all rooms so there no restriction on the speakers. All 3 speakers are Sonos One speakers.   Thanks for any help and advice.

There are some songs / albums on Spotify that won’t play through my pair of Sonos One speakers. I can play these songs through my phone but when I try to Connect To a Device and choose my speakers, it says “Connecting” but never does. If I’m already playing through the speakers, then when I tap on one of these songs, nothing happens. This happens repeatedly for certain albums / songs. What is “special” about them??  

Hi i’m trying to add my music library folder but when i enter the path nothing happens, literally. I’m guessing I must be entering the path incorrectly? I’m entering \\imac-2019\mybookstudio\music2 but no response. Any help appreciated. David

Hi Folks, This forum has solved a number of my problems with SONOS so I thought I might ask this question,  I am running Windows 10 on a desktop computer. The computer is connected to my SONOS network (8 devices) via ethernet cable.  Using the Edge browser, I have located a streamed podcast that I want to hear on SONOS. I can see the SONOS devices on my network. I can hear and control the podcast on my computer.  Is it possible to hear (“Cast”) the show on the SONOS players in other rooms without connecting the “Line Out” feed on the audio card of the computer the SONOS “Line In” on the SONOS Connect which is 65 feet away. Hi,  I've been having this problem for 15 days at home and at the office using Youtube Music .The system works just fine with other services. I updated the Sonos app and uninstalled and installed the youtube service.    Any suggestion?    

Just before Christmas, I decided to proceed with updating my iMac OS to the Catalina.  I had held off since it became available out of respect for the things that could “go wrong” in terms of my day-to-day computer work.  Before the upgrade, Sonos Controller and my iTunes library interacted very well, allowing me to play albums, tracks, playlists, etc however I wished to play them.  Upon upgrading to Catalina, with its attendant introduction of the “Music” app vice everything audio-visual being stored in the iTunes library, my Sonos controller no longer can access the library to play anything.  Note that I do keep my entire iTunes audio-visual library on an external Lacie drive. Interestingly, when I recently imported some new music from CDs, it did not get added to my external drive, but rather to the iMac’s HD under “Music”.  (I will be changing that default after this issue gets resolved.)  These tracks did show up when I added that folder to my Sonos controller’s music library. I have many Sonos products and previously had my turntable connected to my network via play:5 line in   I have just purchased a Sonos connect to take the line in however when I choose this source it just shows as disconnected (as if it can’t detect  the signal coming from phono leads pre-amp)   works fine if I route through play:5   the connect is not connected to amp I.e no phono out hooked up u just want to broadcast the turntable    help!

I just got a Sonos One SL, placed it in the kitchen. In the adjacent living room I have an old hifi with an Airport Express connected to aux-in (using a mini headphone to RCA cable) to make it an Airplay 2 target. I played them both together for the first time today using Airplay 2 and Apple Music (streaming) as the source. Sounded excellent for about an hour, then the Sonos One started to drift behind the stereo, until it was unlistenable. I tried pausing and playing again, no luck.   In the experience of the community, is this issue likely to be permanently resolvable, or is it the sort of thing where I’ll need to restart devices repeatedly? The Sonos One will live near the ceiling, so this is untenable. I’m using an iphone with 12.4.1 OS.   I’ve heard of people hardwiring their Sonos with ethernet cable and still having this issue, so I don’t think it’s the wifi. I live in a 950sf house anyway.   The real question is-- do I return the Sonos One, or do I go down the path of fiddling

After a year of using a set of Play 5's, the Sonos app with Soundcloud sucks. Soundcloud is all about music discovery and following threads of other people's likes and follows to find new music. That is not possible within the current framework of the Sonos app. The current functionality is limiting to the point where I don't use Soundcloud anymore, instead just opting to play music through Spotify. Exploring soundcloud on the web through my computer speakers, and then switching to Sonos to play songs that I like is a joke considering I paid $1,000 for this setup. Can we get an iFrame to the actual Soundcloud interface within the Sonos app or a real integration that allows me to play music form the Soundcloud web app? BECAUSE WHAT WE HAVE RIGHT NOW DOES NOT WORK.

After updating to macOS 10.15, all the podcasts files are gone from their respective folders for each podcast show. I am currently waiting for a solution from Apple. Apple customer service was unable to locate the files during a screen share session. Because of that, I am unable to listen to Podcasts via Sonos. Is Sonos aware of this? Anyone else has the same issue?

I’ve been listening to Capital Radio through TuneIn on my Sonos for ages…. however since maybe 10 days it fails to start playing. No problem with other radio stations. Has Capital been dropped? Andy

I Have been able, until very recently. been able to connect to classicfm on Tunin (https://www.classicfm.com/radio/) When I now try and connect I get an error message  “unable to play classicfm - the song is not encoded correctly”  Is there a change I can make to the settng to deal with this or is the problem that the station is now using an unsupported transmission format Any help would be appreciated PWR

sonos doesn't recognize me Spotify premium account. It does not let me play different music in different habitations, it tells me to update the plan, but it is already premium….

So until this week I could ask Alexa to "Play BBC Radio on Kitchen" - 'Kitchen' being a Sonos Play 3. Now that I have to go through BBC Sounds Alexa no longer recognises the command to play through the Kitchen speaker, so I am left listening to the radio on my tinny Echo Dot. Is this something Sonos can/are likely to fix?

I’m in the same boat as the poster in a previous thread here (unfortunately never received an answer). I’ve checked all the USB settings on the router side and everything looks normal, showing that USB is being shared. I’ve tried two different USB devices and the result is the same. How can I determine the correct path to enter into the Sonos app to get this set up as my Music Library? Thanks-

I've read a number of posts on this forum regarding Sonos no longer recognizing Apple Music (formerly iTunes) playlists. I've tried the suggested fixes, but still cannot see my music library or playlists from within the Sonos apps. Has Sonos made any official statement regarding the apparent incompatibility of macOS Catalina with Sonos? Just wondering whether Sonos has officially acknowledged the problem and has committed to fix it, or whether we are "on our own" regarding a fix. Thanks

Has anyone noticed that when you choose 'All Artist Tracks' from Amazon Music it only shows the first Album in the library, rather than all of them?

I’ve tried playing music in both Spotify connect and within the sonos app – both have the same issue where audio gets spotty and cuts in and out after ~7 seconds into the song.    the Sonos app cites slow internet as the issue but I assure you that’s not the case – I did a speed test and have download speeds of 275mbps   Diagnostic: 148978270

Hi I am having an issue where any new Apple playlist I create does not show up in the Sonos Controller. The odd thing is that if I delete a playlist, it removes itself from the list. It is only creating new ones that seem to not appear in the Sonos app. I have gone through the recommendations on this site that others have seemed to have tried but none of those checks worked. I have the following Iphone 11 Pro running IOS 13.2.3 Latest Sonos Controller App on Iphone Rebooted all Sonos Speakers (Just In case) Restarted Iphone Turned Apple Music Sync off and then back on (numerous times) Checked and reset preferences in ITunes on my Win10 Laptop   Thanks in advance Pete

Can anyone help? I have an Iphone 8 and an Ipad air - on the Sonos App on both devices it doesn’t give me the option to play music on this device - it only offers me radio or a streaming music service like spotify. I have searched forums but can’t find a solution Thanks

I have two Sonos Ones. Never had a problem until a week ago. Now when I play Spotify on my Samsung S9 and choose the Grouped Sonos devices to play through, it says "Connecting..." but never connects. If I then switch to the Sonos App it says "Last played in this room - Spotify" and under that it says Guest Account. This is despite me Removing the Spotify Account and adding it again. I can then play music via the Sonos App over the Sonos Ones. But I can't connect from the Spotify app, which I've also reinstalled.

Issue with Sonos App on iPad trying to access Spotify music. I get "Unable to play the selected item" whatever song I select on my daughter’s iPad. However, it works fine on my own iPad / iPhone. We have a family Spotify account and I am logged into the Sonos app on my daughter’s iPad. I have power cycled the WiFi router and all Sonos equipment several times and I have also disconnected the LAN cable to our Sonos Playbar but the problem persists. Please advise what to do.

Hej!    Har haft mycket problem med felmeddelande osv. Bytt kanal på mitt wifi till #6. Får dock fortfarande felmeddelanden och att sonos ibland hoppar över en köad låt! Vad ska jag göra, kan ni se vilken kanal som har minst brus på?

I use a Symfonisk speakers for its Airplay functionality, so that I can play direct from iTunes on my PC to my other Sonos speakers. It is relatively stable when I play from the PC to the speakers (Play Ones) closest to the PC. However, when I play to more grouped speakers, I get drop outs from speakers randomly and frequently. I can play from a NAS, hard drive, turntable, CD player, Tunein without any significant issue. But Airplay is a constant issue. I haven't had a single session where it hasn't dropped out. I live in a small flat/apartment. I've had to overcome poor wifi issues in the past. The block I live in is concrete built so not Sonos'best friend.        

It was working perfectly fine and now nothing. My office needs this to work and idk whats wrong
