Controllers and Music services

I have a Buffalo Linkshare 4TB drive.  Sonos V1 accepted the drive and loaded all the files into the music library with no issue.  When I try to set up Sonos V2 to access it for the music library, I get an error about 5-10 minutes into it that the drive is no longer available.    V1 has no issues indexing it, but V2 seems to throw this error.  Help, please!

haven't had my music library indexed on SONOS for a few years,  decided to get rid of iTunes match and download my catalogue onto a hard drive and run it from that.  I have loads of records that aren't on streaming platforms so wanted them available on my system. All music is download now on the hard drive, tested it and works, and I have added the hard drive to the Sonos controller no issue. However when I try and index the files it shows the wheel thinking about indexing then it disappears pretty much immediately.  The files are M4A files which are apprently supported, as per the SONOS website. Any ideas as to why nothing is appearing and the indexing doesn’t do anything?    

Not all of my Spotify playlists are appearing in Sonos. Saw older inquiries and suggestions, such as deleting Spotify from my Sonos and reinstalling. This hasn’t helped.  please help 🎶

Both on my iPhone and my Macs today, once upgraded to the new app ver 16.1, Sonos OS S2, Build 78151030, Sonos ID 119903290, Amazon Music displays A through S.  Nothing more.Note: Amazon music displays fine on my BlueSound Node App, A - Z.Any help getting this resolved?

Hi there,My Live Phish App does not work on Sonos in the evenings, but when we try in in the mornings it works.

I have a Sonos One SL connected to my Apple MacBook Pro via AirPlay. When I play audio from Pandora, Youtube, or Sirius the audio drops out for 1-2 seconds every 2-10 minutes.  Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips? Thanks!

Can somebody please advise on whether I can get Sonos/Spotify playing nicely with the Samsung Family Hub (runs on Samsung’s Tizen O/S I believe)? The Spotify App runs on Tizen on the fridge. It can see Amazon firesticks and Amazon speaker devices as things that it can play to (apart from being able to play on the fridge speaker itself). Whether I run the Google or Alexa voice assistants on the Sonos speakers I have, I cannot get it to see the Sonos speakers though. I have a Move and a One. From some desktop research, it looks like Samsung may only support the Sonos speakers through a Hub/Bridge, which is not possible to use as I’m on S2. Is there any way round this? My desired outcome is to be able to change the Spotify music on the fridge, outputting the music to the Sonos speakers (as a group - the two speakers are at different ends of a long room).

Hi,About a year ago I posted this: At the time it was stated that Sonos knew there was a problem with Music Libraries which were hosted on a drive connected by USB to a router. But there was ‘no timeframe’ for a fix.It looks like this is still an issue. I’ve just had to set up a new router and when I’ve pointed the Sonos towards the location of the new library it’s crashed the Sonos. Is this being worked on?

Hey, Everytime I try to view Spotify or Soundcloud in my Services it says cannot connect. I have deleted and re-installed the app. Rebooted the speaker and the wifi but still not working :(. It works fine on the mobile app and I need to use this app to browse and select and then it updates on the mac app. 

I’m having problems playing certain podcasts through Pocketcast. I’ve tried reconnecting several times. It’s only certain podcasts.  Is anyone else having issues? The apps that I’m referencing play fine on the Pocketcast app so  it doesn't seem to be an issue with Pocketcast. Is Sonos blocking certain podcasts because of politics or subject matter?

If you're a Spotify user, can you confirm if you get the behaviour described below in the Sonos app (S2) when you follow these steps? Open Sonos (S2), go to your music services and open the Spotify service. At the top you'll have the "Good morning/afternoon/evening" section, which will contain a bunch of playlists and mixes. Tap on the heading (ie where it says "Good morning/afternoon/evening") I then see an error message : "No selections are available". Go back and, still in the Spotify section of the Sonos app, look for the "Recently played" section (not the Recently played section on the My Sonos page). You'll see a bunch of tiles for playlists/mixes/albums/etc that have been recently played from Spotify. Tap on the Recently played heading I now only see a single tile, for a playlist I haven't played in ages. Nothing else is shown here. Anyone else see this? It's been like this for a while. Tried removing Spotify, uninstalling and reinstalling the Sonos app, and no luck.

I was reluctant in jumping in the sonos systems but two things bought me in:wireless - wifi capabilities being able to play music without having to keep another device connected via bluetooth.This is so frustrating. Exactly this doesn’t work. I’m using Apple Music as a streaming service.I have wired the Sonos Arc using utp cable and I get so often the song is not encoded correctly errors even after the song starts to play - plays for a few seconds then erorr and jumps to the new song.Other times the song plays ok with no problems.The quality of network transmission is top - gigabit bandwidth. No other streaming device fails (ipad, iphone, lg tv, mac, pc etc). I have 2 days left to return the sonos - I hate to do it because it sounds and looks good, but I’m tired of this errors. All the best.

Is there anyway I can see the chapter list on Sonos app when i am listening to a book though audible? Currently I just have to press the skip or rewind buttons to find a chapter which is annoying if you need to go back say 20 chapters for the kids.Just want to be able to hit chapter 4 and go etc. Just seems such a long winded approach 

I cant log on to the appthe app says “ something went wrong, try again”but nothing helps

I see others have had this problem, too, but comments have been blocked for some reason. Maybe because there's no solution yet? But every time I open the Sonos app if I have music playing the volume shoots up to 100%. I don't touch any buttons or sliders or anything, it does it all on its own.

Our system will play most radio stations perfectly well. All day long, no problem. Except for Sonos Cruise Control … which drops the conenction about every 30 minutes. It goes quiet for about 10 seconds then re-connects and carries on - until the next time. it will do this all day long, day after day. But only on this one channel. Does anyone have any ideas? (yes, I know its probably easier just to listen to something else, but the Mrs seems to prefer Cruise Control to anything else) 

I am using the Sonos APP, how can I adjust the sound (bass and treble)?? 

I hope that someone can help me.I have used Spotify for a long time but I am currently experimenting with YouTube Premium and may well settle on the latter. Part of the reason for this is that I can listen to YT videos via a Chromecast audio on the line-in to my ZP90. I think that Sonos will play albums from YT Music just as it will from Spotify but not the audio track of videos.  Of particular interest to me are videos of live music that are not available as albums, for example Hania Rani live at Invalides, in Paris, France for Cercle. I can do this from my PC provided that I use Chrome rather  than Firefox, my preferred browser, but this only finds the CCa (and TV and Roku) and not Sonos but will thus play through Sonos, although seems to be subject to drop outs which is very annoying. (That may be a fault with the CCa, although I suspect it is something else)However my Android phone using the YT app will only find the TV and Roku but not the Chromecast or Sonos.  Spotify on PC and p

Historically my Music Library sat on my Qnap, as to reduce the time wasted looking for suitable music, my playlists would stream with no hesitation. Not certain after which Sonos update - my library was recently updated, and a laptop replaced which i feel was overdue. Looking back, I feel the original setup was far easier. Reading up on Qnap forum’s I’m now led to believe that Sonos has somewhat neglected updating their SMB protocols.Something that was working has now stopped. Confused as why Sonos has changed controllers between gen 1’s and 2’s. – A product that I was so proud of to mention and promote, has let me down. I’ve have three play fives for such a long time. 

I have two wifi networks, a 2.4ghz and a 5ghz.I connected the system a month or so ago and everything worked fine, now it cant find the system unless i change my wifi on my phone from 5g to 2.4g network.I have used sonos for years but i moved to a new apartment with a new router a month ago. It hasnt been a issue before.The connection is good, I have full bars on 5ghz all over the apartment so im not sure what’s going on?I can connect to the speakers on spotify on my mac which is on 5g but not on my phone.

I attempted to add Audible as a music service (I likely had added it before, perhaps years ago.)On Amazon’s authorization page it says it was successful.When I return to Sonos (I tried it on both iPhone app and Macbook App), it says Error: This Audible account is already set up on your Sonos. No need to add it again. But it’s not in my list of music services.Any ideas?I have the latest versions of the Sonos and Audible apps on my phone, and have the latest updates to the ‘controllers’ (from the desktop app).Here’s a short video if it helps. sonos audible.mp4

Hi all , just got a new Samsung Galaxy S24+ , the pull down notification for the Sonos seems to partly miss the speech enhancement button , anyone else have a new Samsung with this little hick up ???? 

This is from Sonos end and a link between spotify. This is not network related!I have lives in 3 different countries; Belgium, Netherlands & Malta. So my dns was different as my network to. Ive tried multiple network settings.The problem is everywhere the same with Spotify - Liked songs.Playing music from the Spotify app to sonos is not a problem but I don’t like this way because it’s lags.Tried it with different devices; Iphone, Android, Windows, iMac… nothing changes.Also made a new Sonos account and connected my Spotify and that from my wife and the result is the same. The liked song from Spotify give an “Error 701 Can't add songs to the queue”.On Spotify’s behave I can’t find a topic nor a solution.I had also considered to undouble my Spotify playlist and liked songs and this was without any results.I have Beam Gen 2, Roam, 2 Play1. On all the devices it’s the same result. I have called in no one can help me. They say it’s sonos fault. But this is basic understanding it’s up to
