Software update?

Since the new app installation when I open Sonos on my android phone it takes about 2 mins to start. Then it often tells me a software update is required, so I click on get updates but it can't find updates etc etc.  My partner also has an android phone which is not getting this issue. Anybody got a clue?

So I figured out that the repeating attempt to update software was caused by some permissions not being on.  So I’ve just got the same problems as every other sonos user.  i.e. the new version of the app is sh*te.
