Controllers and Music services

I can’t work out why but support said there must be a little maintenance going on - but that was days ago. Why is Apple Music now on the web interface? Or the local library?

I currently am using Sonos 79.01-53290. Like many people, either this or the disastrous Sonos App for iOS and Android or both, I suffered the infamous Error 913 file sharing problem. Fortunately for me, but not for everyone, there was a solution posted on Sonos Community that was a workaround. It took a good month to fix that. And the solution DID NOT come from Sonos help desk but from Sonos Community.I have since stuck to no more updates hoping error free/stable software would eventually come.While I have a choice NOT to update to the latest software, my S2 controller (79.01-53290) now will not allow me to update my NAS music library unless I download the latest version of S2 --- Sonos euphemously says “you will have limited functionality unless you update”. Now thta’s limited functionality alright.I went to the Sonos download page and downloaded without executing the latest version and I can see it says Version 80.1-55014. Questions: Does this wo

I’m persevering with the new web app controller but this has now appeared on the home screen:  A whole list of BBC Sounds shows, labelled as “Pinned collection” with the error message underneath each one:  “No longer available.  Go to the Sonos app on your mobile device to remove”. I have no idea how to get rid of these. They do not appear under any favourites list on my mobile app.  They do not appear as saved shows in the BBC Sounds Service when accessed via either the desktop controller or the mobile app.  (They are shows that I have listened to via BBC Sounds in the past but they aren’t on any “pinned collection” that I can find). Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of these? Many thanks. Moderator edit: changed “Windows” to “web app” as

While my music folder (on an external drive connected to a Mac) finally shows in the app, after various attempts and a lot of forum reading, there is no music in my library. None of the single tracks in the folder, or any of the subfolders, show. I can't find any solutions to this in my searches so far, so wondered if anyone knew what else I might be able to try.Needless to say, this didn't used to be an issue and I was using this folder for years quite happily until the well publicised recent issues ..

I've tried uninstall/reinstall, restart both apps, remove and reconnect..refresh Playlist, pretty much everything I can think of and Sonos will only see about half of my Amazon Playlist. I do have the Amazon unlimited. The ability to play my full Amazon Playlist on my Sonos system on shuffle is about 95% of the reason I have this system and I would really like to figure out how to get it back to working properly like it always did up until recently. Does anybody know what this issue between Sonos and Amazon Music is? Thanks!

I don't change this setting often, so I believe today it was the first time I played with it since the new app was released, and it seems to be doing nothing now. In the past, there was a big difference between Ambient / Full when listening to non-Atmos Music tracks, a.k.a. non-Spatial Music tracks, on my Beam 2 + Symfonisk surrounds.Anyone else?

Hi Sonos Team,Since the recent app update, I’ve encountered several critical issues:1. *All my products (Playbar, Sub, Sonos 1 x2) have disappeared from the app.*2. *I performed a factory reset on each device to reconnect them, but they are not reconnecting.*3. *The Playbar shows an error indicating it's connected but doesn't appear in the app.* I’ve attached a screenshot of this error and followed the suggested steps without success.4. *The Sonos 1 speakers get the same error message as the Playbar.*5. *The Playbar does show up on my WiFi network.*Everything was working perfectly before the update without any issues. Please advise on how to resolve these problems as soon as possible.  

I changed my Amazon password.  Now I can’t use the Alexa voice assistant thru Sonos. I went to the app - and when I try to add a voice assistant, I am told that Alexa is “Already added”OK but it’s not working. So then I go to the “Voice Assistants” option under Settings > Manage -- and I see no Voice Assistants listed.  So there I tap the “Add a voice assistant” option and I am taken to a list which tells me Alexa is “Already added.” Sonos - please fix this bug.  Or can someone tell me how to work around this failure?

I have a house literally full of Sonos…please please explain why your App is sooo poor?  Cant search Amazon Music or Spotify Cant change volume Can’t change roomscan do all of above on Alexa…however funnily enough sound quality isn’t quite the same …Please please sort it out!

I set up 3 alarms for my Move.  Finally got one fired up, set the duration for 2 hours - 2 hours and 10 minutes later - it is still playing!!  What gives???  This is on my S2 system.  I  have an alarm set on my Play5 on an S1 system for later, will have to watch that one now

The S1 desktop controller has been working perfectly. Today, however, one of the speakers stopped working. I reconnected the speaker using my iPhone. It is now working - but the speaker is not working on the desktop controller. ]The system says the S1 controller is up to date. What is the problem? How can I fix it?

Hi all.Its August 22nd, am I the only one that is still getting the dreaded 913 error?Since the problem started in May there’s been lots advice on here as to how to fix the problem and I’ve tried everything that’s been suggested without success unfortunately.You name it, I’ve tried it.I’ve got thousands of songs on my computer which I can’t play. There doesn’t seem to be much on the Sonos Community board about this recently so just wondering if Sonos have updated the app (not with me) or others are still suffering to?I was thinking of getting a NAS Drive, but then I could be wasting hundreds of pounds if that doesn’t work either. Also, is a External Hard Drive the same as a NAS Drive? (cheaper) does it do the same job?Or are we just having to play the waiting game from Sonos?I’d be pulling my hair out….if I had some.Many thanksPaul     

Until today, my SiriusXM service in Sonos was working perfectly. Now, none of the channels work. I tried to reauthorize my Sirius account. Didn’t help. I removed the account and tried adding my Sirius account again. I’m in Canada so I selected the Sirius XM Canada option. I enter my username and password and it says “Connection error. There was a problem adding the SiriusXM Canada account.” There’s nothing wrong with my credentials and I can log into Sirius. So I tried adding SiriusXM (not the Canadian one). This time it works, but all the Sirius channels are greyed out after the service is added. Anyone know what’s going on?My Sonos is working fine other than that and I can use other music Services like Amazon, Apple Music...

I was unable to add my music library. It had worked fine in the past but it was lost with a macOS update.I called Sonos support and after waiting over an hour I was connected.We went through the screen sharing and the support rep (who was very hard to understand) tried many times to sort it out. He failed and asked me to hold so he could talk to another level of support. No one was available so he created a ticket and I was told to expect an email in the next few days to schedule a lever 2 call.I got the email this morning that provided a link to a scheduling calender.The calendar was empty of time slots.At the top it says “Select Service Appointment Time” and has a drop down with a very long list of time zones.There is a button to move the calendar a week at a time - and a button to select a day on a full calender.Eventually, by moving weeks ahead I see an appointment time appear on the calender for 8:30am two weeks from now.

Let’s face it, the new app is still rubbish. It should never have been launched in this state, clearly wasn’t tested and although the CEO finally admitted there are major issues it was all too little too late. Perhaps he (or his board) should be thinking about him taking FULL responsibility for this shambles. I still miss features from the old app (as mentioned many times in this forum) and simple functionality is very poor. I have four Sonos systems in my house and the simple act of switching between them is constantly an issue. It fails to switch. It ends up playing in the wrong room or returns a ‘couldn’t connect - try later’ message. So infuriating. You say you are working “day and night” to fix the issues, but are you really? It doesn’t feel like it. You have many customers who have spent a lot of money on your kit trusting it will work as promised but it clearly doesn’t. I for one am looking at alternatives. I know I’m not alone. 

I’ve recently moved house and changed WiFi networks.  I’ve followed all the steps in resetting the 3 speakers I have and connecting them to the app - the app confirms every time I’ve tried that they’re now connected, plays the chimes etc etc. Also when deleting the app and reinstalling to see if it would work it identified all my speakers on the network when signing in. However, I still can’t view ANY of my devices on the app, it still shows as ‘No products found’ even after it’s just confirmed they’ve been added… I’ve tried resetting the WiFi, deleting and re downloading the app, factory resetting all the devices again and still at a loss. Tried support chat but nobody is available and nobody is answering the phone lines.  If anyone could please help that’s maybe had this issue before 🙏🏻

There are a lot of post claiming that Android is having severe issues with the Sonos app. Granted there was a bug that caused the app to crash on Android (approximately 2-3 weeks ago). That appears to have been fixed. I’m an iOS user (iPhone 15 ProMax) however, I wanted to experience the Sonos app first hand in Android so I purchased a Galaxy Tab A9 plus 11-inch 2024 model. It a relatively inexpensive model compared to other Android and iPAD tablets and/or devices. My iOS is running 17.6.1 and Android is on Version 14. The Sonos App is 80.06.03 and 80.06.04 respectively.My iOS device and Android devices both mirror the same in the Sonos app. It doesn’t matter on which device I make a change; the mirroring is not lost.  

After returning to house having been away for 4 days all my music services are gone! They are grayed out and non functional. Tried to add Apple, Prime and Sirius and in every case it won’t work…says try again!! Any idea what is wrong now with this crappy app??

Apologies as I’m sure this is already widely complained about and discussed. Since the major app update my volume control on my app has been hopeless. Is there anything I can do to improve things as my multiroom system has become almost unusable.

Since software update, I can’t search my library by first letter or name on the app…. When I list albums, compilation albums have the album title listed for each individual songs, so have the album over and over listed, making a very long scroll list. I long for a search button. 

The latest Sonos iPhone app update (80.06.03) and the latest Sonos IPad app (in landscape mode) has an issue with an “overhang” of the “Search Music Library” box on top of the “Folders” button.When I go to “Music Library” and then scroll down to “Folders” you can observe from the screenshot (from an Iphone 14 Pro Max) above that a “Search Music Library” button now overhangs the “Folders” tab. So if I try to click on “Folders” to navigate to my various music folders, it instead opens up the “Search Music Library” window.Sonos needs to space this out correctly and leave some room between the two buttons.

I have 8 rooms grouped together. When I want to adjust the sound volume in any particular room I need the volume adjustment to stay up longer than 2 seconds so that my eyes can fine the correct room annd adjust the slider. It’s frustrating chasing after the dialogue as it closes prematurely. Sort of feels like whack-a-mole.
