Unable to accept T&C's in the new app!!! The “accept” button remains gray. Please help me. I cannot use my Sonos and connect to my existence system

Hi @Mayco

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

We have identified an issue whereby some users will be unable to progress past the step of accepting the Terms & Conditions within the Sonos app.

Please ensure that you have not set your mobile device to enlarge the contents of the screen in any way - if you have, setting the zoom back to the standard setting may allow you to accept the T&Cs in the app.

If the above does not help, please try using the Sonos app on a different device in the meantime - if that is an option for you.

We have no estimate for when a fix might be put in place, but this issue is a high priority. I’ll update this thread when it is resolved. Thank you for your patience.

I hope this helps.

Same issue, can't find a solution here or anywhere else so now I can't use any of my speakers. The new Sonos app has to be up there as one of the all time great consumer electronics unforced errors. Can't you just put the old version back on the app store as Sonos Classic or something whilst fixing the debacle of the new one?

Did you try all the so far mentioned workarounds to get the accept button to change, e.g.:

  • scrolling all they way down and then back up a bit
  • turning phone/tablet to landscape
  • on iPad, try split screen
  • in iPhone settings > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom > Default
  • in iPhone settings > Display & Brightness > Text Size > make this smaller

Are you able to use your speakers via play.sonos.com?

Note that on mobile phone you need to open the web page in Desktop mode.

On iPhone I’ve done this:
1. Using Safari, login at play.sonos.com and save login info to iCloud
2. Once the page opens, tap Aa on address bar and from menu select Website Settings >  Request Desktop Website. Tap Done.  (This will load that website in the future as the required desktop version.)
3. Tap on Share icon and tap Add to Home Screen. Give the icon a name.
4. Start controlling Sonos using that Home Screen icon. (Log in if asked, Safari should ask whether to use the stored login info)

Turn iPhone landscape to see a better view.

Just reading that list of things to try makes me wonder why this is so difficult to fix.  Sonos!!  Nobody reads that stuff!  Just light up the Accept button.
