Hi, I have a philips 10bdl4551t with Android 8.1 that I would like to install the Sonons App S2 on to control the sonos speakers in the office. But the philips 10bdl4551t is a pro screen and don´t have a playstore, I have manually downloaded akp, but it fails to install. Is there an official APK to install?
About a few months ago my Spotify stopped playing songs 30 seconds into playing then on my wireless Sonos Playbar home theatre setup. It would also skip songs, and sometimes out of the blue it would start playing another song without any input from me, all using the Spotify App on my iphone. I researched many threads online and even contacted Spotify. I tried alot of the suggestions provided to no avail. Then I tried the Spotify App on my smart TV and it worked flawlessly. So why doesn’t the Spotify App work on my iphone? This got me wondering why. Then I read that Sonos only uses the 2.4 ghz wireless band and not the 5 ghz band. So I checked the wifi connection on my iphone and it was connected via the 5 ghz band. So I changed my iphone wifi to the 2.4 ghz band and now Spotify works flawlessly again. At least for the last week or so. I thought I would relay this to others with similar problems. Good luck.
I have been using Sonos Desktop to play my stereo enabled Roams since Alexa just keeps telling me to get the skill I already have :). Now I have a problem using Sonos desktop to search music. Nothing is coming up at all except for “my music” that’s on the PC - none of the subscription tracks are showing at all. I saw this in a few dated threads but never saw a solution. My Sonos S2 desktop app was recently updated a week or so ago. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem or has a solution. (And other services are fine on the desktop app, and I can see my amazon music subscription fine from my iphone)
I have a Sonos playbar and Sonos 5 speakers. I only hear the playbar and not the speakers. I have the volume all the way for the speakers. What do I need to do to hear the speakers?
I changed the name of the PC hosting my Sonos controller and music collection. When I try to play a track I get the message:"Sonos unable to play <track-name> cannot connect to <serer-name> because the server cannot be found" How do I fix this without reverting to the name change?
I always hoping the volume level can show with numbers on the slide bar and I could find that it's now available on IOS Sonos App... and can also access to EQ settings very easily. But why this is not available for Android Sonos App? I believe it won't be that difficult? Please help to do this asap, thanks!
The IOS 15.3.1 update has made Sonos S2 app not work well. It is tough and locks. Does anyone have this problem? How to fix it?
I saw a related post on this topic but it seemed to be a phone specific issue (i.e. Google Pixel). I’m using iOS devices and am experiencing strange behavior. I connected my Amazon Firestick to the Move via Bluetooth and it works great. But the Move shows up in the Sonos App as Offline. So I can’t do anything via the app - see battery %, change the volume, connect with other speakers, etc. It’s appears to be a “dumb” BT speaker that I have to operate manually using the device buttons on the Move to change volume. Out of curiosity, I connected my Roam to the Firestick via bluetooth and had a completely different experience. It does not show as Offline in the Sonos app but rather a completely functional Sonos speaker. I can see the battery level, control the volume, group the Roam with other speakers in my network, etc. - which is awesome. See below for full functionally pics in the Sonos App when connected via Bluetooth. It seems very strange that Roam has this full functiona
I see that a few people have asked when Sonos will around to compiling their macOS desktop app for Apple Silicon, and the answer given is that Sonos doesn’t talk about forthcoming software releases, but it’s probably not a high priority.Sure, that’s fine. Who would I be to question their engineering priorities? But, a really good option for people who want an Apple Silicon native app would be to simply run the S2 iOS app in macOS. All you would have to do is open the App Store in macOS and navigate to your account, and the “iPhone & iPad Apps” tab. Only the Sonos S2 doesn’t show up, even though it’s affiliated with the Apple ID that’s logged in.iOS apps will show up in the App Store on macOS unless the developer specifically disallows them from doing so. There’s no excuse about engineering resources — this is literally flipping a switch to turn something off. Even if you use a workaround and extract the Sonos S2 program itself (as an IPA file), you’ll get an error message if you tr
Hello,Every time i start sonos to listen to the radio for example, i get a barage of adverts. I don’t recall asking sonos to do this, but i’d like it to stop.Anyone know how to turn this off?D
I’m trying to setup a Dakboard wall display at home, and it has Sonos integration to display what’s currently playing. However, it is failing to display the album art that is tied to the current song. In talking to Dakboard, they’re saying that it’s failing to work because Sonos is grabbing the artwork locally rather than from the Internet, and the Dakboard screens are rendered from their cloud service. That being said, the music I’m testing playing with comes from a streaming service, and I don’t currently own the music and don’t have it cached locally. Dakboard supplied me with the URL to the artwork that the Dakboard Logs say it’s trying to grab it from, and the URL is indeed a local URL to one of my Sonos speakers. Dakboard says that this is something they haven’t seen - that normally Sonos provides them with a streaming URL to the artwork if it’s streaming music from the cloud. Is there something I need to change on my side to change what URL is being presented by Sonos? Cer
Hi Sonos Feature Teams, with your ongoing focus on content (such as Sonos Radio HD, Curated Playlists) it would be really cool if you could partner with Roon (more than just being compatible with Roon as endpoints) in order display their rich content (album reviews, band information, lyrics, AppleTV app TV:Remote, recommendations, enhanced search, additional album art, etc.) for us music lovers. As the Sonos speakers are already in the home network, there would be no need for a local Roon Core but only a cloud-service integrating into the Sonos App (and support for more end-devices like AppleTV, FireTVStick, SmartTVs,...) would be needed. This would really enrich the user experience - at least I would be willing to pay a subscription fee for such added value. Please contact me if you want to hear my ideas.Roon Review: https://www.headphonesty.com/2021/05/introduction-to-roon/
An odd problem I cannot solve. Kitchen and office speakers both have morning alarms set for 06:45 to play radio with no time limit. They randomly ungroup so this best way, but when I come down they are not synchronized so I group them manually, have my breakfast in the kitchen then go into my office next door to work. However, at exactly 11:00 every morning the speakers ungroup and turn off the radio. Neither of the alarms, as I say, have a time limit. What is so special about 11:00am? Phil
Hi Sonos Team, please create a native Apple:TV (maybe also for Android TV) which displays current album art, song, musician and potentially other information for a selected audio zone as well as basic controls (volume control, next song, etc.).Thanks
Hi! My Sonos setup is a beam (gen 2)+ sub and two play5 as surrounds. This works great for both surround system and music, as the surrounds create a stereo pair. I can turn up music volume for the surrounds, which gives me the most use of my system i feel. However, I wish I could turn up the sub volume for music, or turn the beam down/off for music use. I feel it ruining my listening experience with my play5s. To sum up: I wish i could use surrounds/play5s with sub for music, without the beam. I want this option in my sonos app 🤩
Hello,For the past few days my sonos Beam (gen1) has not worked with my tv (samsung QLED 2021).For 1 year everything has been working very well with the eARC output then overnight nothing.. I tried everything, no way. The only solution is to plug it in optically.Do you know where the problem comes from? Thank you
Hi,I’m messing with the idea of buying a turntable - mostly for the fun of faffing with it and buying records. But will my ears tell the difference between a record being played and the same music being played via Spotify?I currently own a Beam and two Threes. If I buy a turntable I would have to also buy a Five (discussions here suggest that’s better than buying the Port for the same price).Putting the enjoyment of handling vinyl to one site: will I hear a difference in sound?Sorry if this is a daft question. Genuinely interested before I splash out.
Beyond the subject line, the email says “Check the Sonos app for an exclusive offer.“I opened the app and no offers were visible. I then went to the Settings page of the app and clicked on “Inbox & More -- Messages and special offers” and there is nothing there. This is the problem with being so coy in the email -- I don’t even know if I should care that this isn’t working for me, because I don’t know what the offer is.
I have just tried to save to a new playlist and got a message that I have hit my limit.I am still on s1. Does S2 provide more space?
I am still using a bridge which prevents me from upgrading my system to s2.The upgrade wizard tells me that my system will work fine without the bridge. But if I accept this and upgrade what happens if it doesn’t work well? Is there any way back?
I’ve downloaded the install app (142), and when I try to run it, I can’t get past the “Are you sure you want to let this program make changes to your system?” screen. I’m running the latest update to Windows 10.Please help...
I am an Apple user and I would love to be able to use Airplay and an external disc drive connected to my iMac to play music DVDs through my Sonos One. That would be an extremely powerful and useful addition to Sonos functionality. (Note that uploading the songs from one’s CD collection in order to play them on the Sonos is NOT a good workaround…..) Alternatively, Sonos should partner with a few peripheral manufacturers to develop a proprietary "service" -- similar to Spotify Connect -- which would enable at least their devices (eg, disc players) to use the Sonos One as an output when connected to an Apple computer.
Happy Sonos user here. Trying to migrate away from a world of “my music takes up my entire hard drive” to one where I can still listen to my decades of MP3s but via streaming. I’m considering a few options including Apple Music and YouTube Music which both support “upload your own songs and then stream them”. I can’t tell from the “Apple Music and Sonos” page — does Sonos with Apple Music support playing these songs specifically (the ones you upload) or just the ones that come in their streaming service? (And the same question for YouTube music too, I guess.)
Dear Sonos,I know this question has been asked before. But is there any estimation when this will come ? Or just the confirmation it will come would be nice.I mean native streaming like with Qobuz (AirPlay isn’t the same quality I notice)thanks!!
I have several streaming services (Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz) connected to my Spotify S2 app on iOS. None of them seem to allow sorting or filtering playlists within the Sonos app, based on playlist name. This seems like a really basic feature, and it’s essential because I have thousands of playlists. Does this feature truly not exist, or am I missing something?
