The cover art album is not good on playing screen

There are some pixels.

Something possible to do ?

Can you post a screenshot so we can see an example of what you are seeing?

It seems to be okay on an iPad controller… might it be the device you’re using, or perhaps the connection and that Amazon reduces the artwork quality to cater both for the device and available bandwidth, perhaps?

Examples:

Amazon vs...

...vs Deezer.

You see the resolution is not good on Amazon

Don't you see ?

I think it's Android yes

I'll contact sonos for that

I do see the difference. Is there an image quality difference when you compare all album covers or just this specific album cover?

All albums are less good quality album cover on Amazon on s2.

I got an Android vivo v21

Well it’s quite obviously not the Sonos App display - it must be the image resolution that Amazon have decided to use for their artwork. The covers look okay (to me, at least) on the iPad. It’s not something I take too much notice of to be truthful, as my display is not left showing once I have started playback of the queue. I assume you might need to canvass Amazon on the matter, as it’s their data.

They told me to ask to sonos.

Tomorrow maybe.

Important for me.

Yes maybe the Amazon covers are too heavy.

Just tried this on an iPad Pro.

Amazon Music and Apple Music had good resolution. Spotify bad resolution.

Screenshots larger than the 5MB maximum allowed here so can’t post.

Same album cover on iPad from Amazon & Deezer in portrait mode:

Actually, on Amazon Music, the HD version of the song (Antiseed) has good artwork resolution, the Ultra HD version bad resolution.

No Amazon resolution is less good too.

I see it.

And sometimes I saw it perfectly good on Amazon music.

Ok nevermind.

There’s not a huge difference between Amazon & Deezer display on the iPad, so maybe it’s how the music services choose to deliver their artwork to the type of controller device, perhaps?

Maybe Amazon take care of echo only

Music services offer the Sonos app multiple resolutions, and the app decides on one dependent on the device and where the art is to be displayed. In this case Amazon are erroneously delivering a lower quality bitmap for the Now Playing screen. Not a Sonos issue.

New firmware update.

Sometimes the cover is clean.

Sometimes not.

Better.

Only the controller has been updated…

Thank you all for your interest.
