I only found year+ old threads on this topic. Is this a feature Sonos plans on implementing? YTM has a great new music suggestion algorithm but it's useless if I can't feed the like from Sonos back to YTM. Help! 

Are there any plans to build out he desktop app with more functionality; e.g., bringing Roon labs features? The desktop app seems stuck in a 1984 UI look/feel/function form? There is no recommendation engine or artist/track background information provided, like in Roon Labs. Roon Labs does not provide mobile functionality, you can only use it at home. Hence, two build outs are necessary.Thanks!

Help me to understand how I can turn my TV (HTML ARC) on and not have to adjust the volume up every time. Why can’t the Sonos Amp hold its last volume position? This is the way audio devices have worked since forever. If I am missing something, let me know. Can this be a software update? What is the meaning of have it default to 0 anyway?

I can access my favourite songs, albums and stations easily via the mobile app, but only seem to access them via the PC app as a single mixed up section called Favourites, which is awful.  I can however see a Playlists section in both apps.  Seems the PC app has no concept of My Sonos like the mobile app.

There are days when you don’t want your regular alarms to execute.

Since mid December Sonos Alarms stopped grouping our rooms.  The first Alarm of the day is the main issue, it will not Group our 5 Rooms.   After we manually Group all 5 Rooms and reset sound (some rooms stop playing sound for some reason even when First Alarm is Grouped)  all Alarms, more than 6,  come on throughout the day for the most part.   Except for 2 stations in the evening that we stream, we hear the Chime. Sonos or Tunein will no longer stream these two stations, but will stream if reset manually.  Several interactions with Sonos staff have failed to resolve these issues, we remade Alarms, rebooted router, modem several times and more.  We paid a bundle to upgrade Sonos system 2 years ago, 4 Amps, 1 Port, Move Speaker, Sonos now only provides frustration.  We suspect an upgrade to some software program in Sonos, Tunein or ? in mid December threw things off.  Perhaps Tunein?  We are on the “Free” Tunein.  Alarms all worked just fine for many years until December.  We have o

Recently the S2 app on my Andriod 11 phone stopped working, showing only blank placeholder screens for every function except speaker firmware update. Uninstalling and re-installing didn’t help. It was apparently insisting that a speaker firmware update was mandatory.However, all earlier versions of the S2 app on my other device continued to work just fine, so I reverted to an older version of the S2 app on my phone, and it worked fine there as well.So apparently this is a new heavy-handed attempt by Sonos to force firmware updates by crippling the app until you comply. Why not just update the firmware? Because then it won’t be the same product that works with my various platforms now - Sonos firmware updates of the past have permanently removed compatibility and functionality and are irreversible. There is no commitment to warn users of this in the release notes, so firmware updates can’t be trusted.

I was listening to LiveXLive on Sonos and unwittingly clicked the dislike 🛇 icon (as shown in the screenshot below) even though I liked the song.  The station immediately began playing another song.  How can I see what the initial song was?  And how can I reverse my vote from dislike to like for that initial song? For that matter can I see all the songs I have liked (or “hearted”)? Regards,Roel  

Hi.Are there Finnish users online?  Through which online radio service have you found YLE local radio channels?Has Yle (Finnish Proadcasting Co) local/areal channel been taken away from offering of the online-service providers? You have any idea?SonosRadio has not been broadcasting YLE programs for a long time, but now they have disappeared as well from other internet radio providers I have used.I understand that the problem is related to the fact that YLE is not a commercial operator but a Finnish state-owned production company.Regards

Does anyone else feel like they are getting ripped off by Sonos.  I bought many products just a few years ago and now they have a new Sonos 2 app that is requiring I buy all new products (at a pathetic discount) in order to use their system?  AND… to top it off, they have you return your equipment to them so that they can, no doubt, refurbish and resell at a premium.  I LOVED my sonos, but then I went to buy a new Sonos Roam for my wife for Mother’s Day.  That is when I learned that I can’t have the S1 app and Sonos 2 app work together… nope… I basically need to upgrade all of my perfectly fine equipment (soundbar, sub, play 5, connect) just to move to a new Sonos 2 app????  WHAT an EPIC ripoff. I am glad there are new competitors in this space. Sonos lost a customer and everyone I know that I used to tell sonos about, will get an updated email from me.  I feel completely ripped off!

Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way (I’m not), but the way I'm marketed to in the Sonos S2 app feels thirsty and crass. Most companies allow their users to opt out of marketing communications because that decision should really be up to the users.And before anyone suggests App Preferences > Allow Pop-up Messages, it's more than just disabling pop-up ads. The little blue badge that appears over the Inbox icon and also over the My Sonos tab icon in the app tray preys on the learned behaviour that notification badges are calls-to-action and get many users to try to figure out how to make them go away. Users are forced to view these ads in order to clear the badge. It's manipulative and encourages the notification anxiety/addiction problems that most ethical app developers are finally starting to move away from.It's especially crass because I have literally paid for your products already, so putting self-promoting ads in an app that only works if I/someone gav

Any info on what the fixes are for this?  I want to play my Moves outside but not if it means resets and frustrations once the battery passes 50%  

I would like to know if this is a good solution to play hi res files (24bit 192khz) on a sonos five stereo system.As far as I know and read in div. threads in this forum it is not possible to stream Apple Hi-Res lossless via the Sonos app (only AAC 256).  Amazon Music Ultra HD or Quobuz/ Tidal is limited to 24bit 48khz.Streaming from Apple Devices via Airplay is also limited to lossless (16bit 44khz).That's why I thought about the following:Usage of my Apple Devices (Mac or iPad) via DAC (e.g Topping DS 50 or FIIO) connect via USB and then use line in to Sonos five. I can see (via a borrowed RME ADI2 ) that I receive 24bit 192khz from my Apple devices.My question now is: is the SONOS five directly using this stream without any further conversions, or does it convert the stream, when it is played locally via the wired connection described above (Mac-USB-DAC-jack plug -Line in Sonos five)?Anyone using this solution already? How does it sound?

This is basic enough that I must just be missing it somewhere in the App.  How do I change the order of the podcast episodes in the Sonos app for PocketCasts?  I want the oldest unplayed episode on top, not the most recent.

My Sonos S2 app (up-to-date) has once again stopped working on Android 11, showing only screens with blank placeholders for everything except System, where it wants me to update the firmware on my Sonos One pair.Aside from the fact that I don’t generally want to install updates to make unknown changes to a stable system that I’m not asking for, and I resent being forced, my particular issue is that I’m afraid of losing access again from my Win7 desktop. It took a considerable effort of working around annoying Sonos roadblocks to get the mandatory S2 app running (with limitations) on Win7, and I’m afraid if I do one of these irreversible firmware updates on the speakers the Win7 app will tell me it can no longer access the speakers because Sonos has arbitrarily decided that it can’t.I know this is likely pointless grumbling, but is there any way we can get Sonos to consider:stop forcing unnecessary firmware updates make it clear what histor

I take my Sonos Roam with me to work. I’d love to listen to Sonos Radio HD..but apparently you have to be part of the “network” that is connected at home to play it - not sure if that’s because HD sound needs higher bandwidth or something else. So two questions: You still can’t use Sonos HD Radio unless you’re part of your “main” network, correct?  If #1 is correct, will that ever change so if you are on the go you can listen over cellular/bluetooth? I mean even if it’s not HD audio, just the fact it’s available would be nice.  My understanding is that you can’t listen at all unless you’re part of the main home network. 

So today I recieved an email saying that Sonos Radio was now available on the web, the email linked me to a website where I could sample stations for 45 minutes tops. Is this the planned extent for this web radio feature? 

Sonos has just sent me an email saying ‘Whats new on Sonos Radio’ here in the Uk Telling me great news Sonos Radio is online click on link to go to our new Radio Page WRONG the link takes me to their existing page with there products etc.anyone else received this premature email this morning looked online and see no new announcement from Sonos either  

When adding new sub-folders to the main folder in Music Library, is there a way to rescan the folder so that the new sub-folders are added?Or..Is the solution to delete the folder then add the folder after adding the new sub-folders?Mitch

I don’t see any Sonos-made Station on Sonos app. Pick any station shown on Sonos Radio website and search for its name on Sonos app, I see only third-party radio stations but no Sonos-made stations.For example, the Smooth Jazz station on Sonos Radio. I can play on my browser just fine, but when I search for “smooth jazz” in my Sonos app I see only third-party stations.I know that Sonos has created many high quality stations but I am not able to browse any of them in the app, let alone searching for it. In the “Browse Radio” page in the app, I see only third-party stations, no way to browse only Sonos-made stations.

I have been listening to music on my Sonos system for a few ours and then the sound just stopped. The app still shows music playing.I closed app and restarted. I unplugged speakers and restarted. I unplugged modem and router and restarted. Still no sound coming from either speaker.Does anyone have a solution?

Organic growth - with your existing customers - is often considered preferable in business. So why did Sonos choose to abandon S1 users (besides keeping S1 wheezing along)? Yes, fanbros, I understand that Sonos’s adding additional features like Alexa compatibility required additional memory and, so, change, but why not communicate with, and try to incorporate, your existing customer base into the process?
