Sonos specifications indicate UPNP compatibility. There is an option in the settings menu to enable UPNP functionality. After this is enabled, the UPNP servers on the local network should show up in the Browse Music area. However, I cannot find a UPNP server for the Mac that actually works. Sonos cannot see any of them, even though other clients on the same network see them.I realize there is a “pay to play” feature to use PLEX’s proprietary system, if I am okay with opening my local network to remote access from the Plex servers in Virginia. But I don’t really need another monthly fee and security concern….especially since the functionality I seek is apparently already built in to Sonos. The only media server I have read about working with Sonos locally is the Windows Media Server….which of course it not an option for my Mac.Has anyone figured out any Mac media servers that work like that?
In Sonos Radio KWPQ FM 103.3 is playing some unknown ambient backgroud music. When I load the URL of the stream Sonos does play KWPQ FM 103.3. Does anyone know what's happening here?
Would like to vote for software support for AES67. PTP is in the AES67 standard, and that’s already mandated in Airplay 2, and already exists in the Sonos firmware. RTP also. SIP/SDP probably also. Oh, UDP also. Oh, IGMP also. mDNS/Bonjour also. It’s like the only thing left for Sonos to do is glue those pieces together. What’s not to like? Microsecond latency, real-time streaming, high-resolution audio compatible with a wide range of equipment, including my Sonos. The fact one can have an imperceptible output delay is a huge win. I could send an AES stream to Australia and back before Airplay-streamed audio comes out of my speakers. My system is ethernet wired, and I accept such a mandate for reliable audio streaming. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AES67
I have a Sonos Connect and Sonos Boost that work only on the iPhone Sonos S1 app. I had to reset the system and now I can’t find a place to add Pandora (or any other service) to the Sonos S1 app.Any suggestions are appreciated.
Howdy,I have a philips 10bdl4551t with Android 8.1 that I might want to introduce the Sonons ** App** S2 on to control the sonos speakers in the workplace. Yet, the philips 10bdl4551t is a genius screen and don't have a playstore, I have physically downloaded akp, yet it neglects to introduce. Is there an authority APK to introduce? *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
How do I find a VALID MAC number for my Sonos Roam. The number on the end of the unit reads 1C:5373A-RM027. My router software says this is an invalid MAC. I tried removing one or both special characters ( : and/or - ) with no luck.
I have two Sonos speakers--one in my office and one in the kitchen downstairs. I listen to mine in my office while I work all day, and my family will pop into the kitchen and play music occasionally. However, Sonos seems to have changed this policy and will only allow Spotify to stream from one device at a time. I have the paid version of Spotify. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t let a family stream Spotify off of multiple devices--do you want us to pay for a new subscription of each device? Did I not spend enough money on this overpriced speaker system already? I feel like I’m paying premium prices for a less-than-premium product. I just want to be able to listen to music.
Is there any news on when volume normalisation will be available for playing spotify through sonos speakers?I’ve just purchased 3 speakers for my business and I’m getting really frustrated at having to constantly alter the volume because the playback is either too loud or too quiet. If it’s not something you can/want to do please let us know and the reason why. I think we deserve an honest and comprehensive answer.
Hi All,it would be so cool to have a Mini-Controller / Now Playing screen app for the apple TV.ThanksJesko

I have amazon prime / amazon music (not unlimited)When I try to open amazon music through sonos I get the message 'Request Operation Failed'I have tried to remove and re authorise my amazon account within the sonos app which hasn't made any difference.I have also checked my membership status in amazon music which is correct. After looking at previous threads these are the only suggestions but neither work. We've also tried this on my wife's phone (she uses apple where my phone is android) and we still get exactly the same message. Any help would be appreciated please?

My Sonos Beam volume control (controlled from Sky Q remote and TV remote) stops working after 5-6 hours. Strangely, I can still control the volume from the Sonia app on my phone. Anyone have any answers as to what the problem could be? Thanks
When watching my Sony Tv and listening to the sound through my sonos arc i can control the volume level up or down , by using the appropriate buttons on the TV or Virgin media Tivo box remote and that works fine. However, when playing music through my sonos arc from, for example Deezer, i can only adjust the volume up or down by using the sonos app on my phone, whereas until recently, I have been able to also control the music volume using the appropriate buttons on the TV and virgin media Tivo box remotes.I just spoke to a Sonos technician/ engineer and he said that the TV and virgin remotes cannot control the volume of music on the Sonos arc and that i must use the app to control the volume…… even though my system has worked like this ever since it was brand new ( maybe 2 years or so old). OK its not a major issue and i can control the volume on the app, but it used to be so much more convenient to adjust the volume using the \tv or virgin remotes.I cannot understand why this has sto

Hi all, Long time user, occasional poster. I'm toying with the idea of installing some Sonos speakers in the bar/workshop area at the bottom of my garden (roughly 15m from my house, and it seems heavily resistant to any wireless signals).I currently have a relatively large Sonos set-up IN the house running on Sonosnet with a boost plugged into my router. I have tried just putting a speaker in the bar and hoping for the best, but alas, it is a no go. My question is....if I were to run an ethernet cable from my router in the house to a network switch in the bar, then subsequently hardwire those speakers, would it work?? I get there's STP implications so the switch would need to support that, but beyond that is what I suggest feasible? I've done some searching on here, but nothing seems to answer my question specifically. Thanks in advance, all!!
Hi Community,I have spent the good part of a week trying different options to be able to mount my music library to Sonos 2. None had worked and I was almost going to give up. and then I had the great idea to use a RaspberryPi 4 Model B and set up a simple samba server (on an external USB SSD drive). It works a treat and there is no reverting to SMBv1 or anything .. its fast and secure and all of my music is now available .. I am sharing this in case anyone else experiences issues trying to get their personal music library added to Sonos 2 Happy to share the details with anyone else that needs it
When using Spotify, as a streaming service, the volume levels on the 2 x Sonos One keep changing. In Spotify, the volume levels are automatically adjusted to ensure a consistent volume for ALL tracks. Sonos app FAILS to maintain consistent volume levels. This is a MAJOR fault with Sonos, and one that will lead me to sell my purchase and replace it with Bose or similar. Come on, Sonos, this issue has existed for FAR TOO LONG.
I recently bought a Ray to set up surround sound with my TV. I grouped the Ray with my Sub and a pair of Sonos One speakers (L&R) and True Tuned it. This works great for TV and movies but when I am trying to listen to music, not so much since it seems the majority of the sound is coming from the Ray. Is there a way to have a speaker grouping that is tuned for surround sound (TV) and one grouping that is tuned specifically for music?
At work we have this sonos device connected to a windows xp.. its completely useless. The sonos app on pc is called Version 7.1, all options are basically greyed out. All we want to do is play our own music. Another problem is that we don't have access to the wifi that the pc is using, its some private airport wifi. So we cant connect our phone... i noticed the sonos box has an ethernet port. Is there perhaps some kind of usb that makes it so i can connect my phone to the sonos box? But i guess it wouldnt work with 4G? We have already tried to reinstall the app, repair the app etc etc, nothing works.. The only thing that works without problems is to use the radio stations.. so i was wondering, how hard would it be to make my own online radio and just search for it on sonos? Please don't tell me im out of options.. we want to play good music for our customers..
All my Sonos devices but a Play1 are in storage since we are moving.I initially connected the Play1 wireless at the airbnb we were at to the wireless network just fine, but it was intermittent due to a weak signal so tried to connect to the other available network but could not.I got a wireless extender for a stronger signal, but I am still unable to move it to another primary wireless network or to an extended wireless network, or even to the original wireless network.I can run fine only if I plug the Play1 into the enet port on the wireless extender. If I use Sonos2 to ‘Manage Networks/Update Networks’ and say YES when asked to add a trusted network, then hit ‘Find System’ I am prompted again to make sure all products are powered on and to ‘Find System’ again, but nothing is ever found. Is there any other way to change the old wireless network to a new wireless network? Even if I set the S2 app to the old wireless network it no longer works. Since I only have the one Play1 at present,
I will be cancelling my subscription to Spotify and want to switch all my playlists that were set up with Spotify to Apple Music. How do I get a list of the songs currently using Spotify?
I just updated the Microsoft Windows SONOS S2 V14.8 app to V14.10. When I open the app it has “The Queue is empty” with a spinning globe above it. The Help About screen is blank. The update installed without reporting any issues. Has anyone else experienced this issue? UPDATE:I disabled my Norton 360 Smart Firewall. I then launched the S2 SONOS app. The app responds immediately without the empty queue message. The app Help about reports all information. I then closed the SONOS app. I enabled the Norton 360 Smart Firewall. Launched the SONOS V2 app and everything is now working.
How to play sound from Samsung phone (e.g. YouTube app or Netflix app) on Sonos Ray?
If I search for music on Spotify, not through Sonos, I have many options of songs and music I don’t get when I search using same names but using Spotify in Sonos.
