app in windows is not giving me set up options
It seems there is no solution to user that have only linux pc at home. Is it possible that the company make this version of the software? The idea of running on wine is really none confortable.
I have recently had to replace my Play5 under warranty (great customer service Sonos) but have now lost all of my music library. I've gone through the installation process via the android app and all of my previous music library has gone. I assumed replacing the speaker would have no effect on the music library I had on my app, any suggestions?
Finally worked out how to ask a question on here! So what I'd love to do is get home and just push the play button on my play 1 or playbar and either of them automatically stream music or a playlist I've created or even a radio station. Is that possible
Whenever I looked at (Mac) dock, I see the Sonos App icon and I was very disappointed by it. It seems weird? And unrelated? I guess my overall the problem would just be: the icon is bad. It needs changes. I'm not that much of a graphic designer, but the thing needs to change. It seems sort of out-of-date. Does anyone have the same opinion as I am? And by the way. I know this is a picky thing to do, but I still need to point it out regardless.
I am seeing very significant battery drain on iOS when using Sonos app. This morning I just used the app for about an hour to play music, and the battery usage report shows that Sonos has consumed 47% of the battery usage in the last 24 hours. This is a trend I've noticed a lot recently. What can I do?
Sonos app on Android keeps freezing not letting you browse music or select speakers. Basically nothing works. Have closed the app but you have to wait for app to say it's not responding then close it from there. Any idea's?
It looks like with the arrival of Airplay 2, one of my favorite features, control volume from lock screen is now gone. I have tons of Sonos equipment and not in a rush to get Airplay 2 stuff. Can we get a widget in iOS that allows us to control volume without having to unlock the phone and control volume?
Is it possible to have the same level of service on iphone, android and pc? the trueplay seems to be present only on the ephone.
I recently picked up a Play 5 and a One, and when trying to set up the devices at home via the Sonos App on my iPhone (iPhone 😎, I constantly got the error message "Network problem; Check your internet connection and make sure your speakers are plugged in" despite being on the same network at the devices and having a relatively good signal. For the sake of troubleshooting, I grabbed my iPad (iPad Pro 2017) and was surprised to see that I was not having this issue with the Sonos app on my iPad. I was able to set up both devices normally. The situation now is that I am able to control both my Sonos devices with the App on my iPad and iPhone, but only the iPad app is able to change some settings, like room settings, or add another device, like the One. If I try to do this with the iPhone app, I again get the error "Network problem; Check your internet connection and make sure your speakers are plugged in". Playback to Sonos from third-party apps like Spotify work well from both
I have been trying to save some playlists from a music service I use (HOS) that I used to be able to save to my favorites list, but now when I do this I get a message from Sonos that it's "already saved". It isn't. How do I fix this?
I have a play 3 and a bridge. I used to be able to use both., though from time to time I would see both systems getting kicked off and I would have to re-add them However for the past 2 weeka the play 3 has stopped connecting. It has a solid white light on at all times but I am unable to get it to connect to the network anymore. The Bridge is working fine. Here are all the things I have tried. 1. Connecting the play 3 directly to bridge. Nothing changes. In fact the indicator lights on the back of the bridge seem to show that the Play 3 is not using the Ethernet cable at all. I have made sure its plugged in. 2.,connecting the play 3 directly to router. Same thing. I don't have lights on my router, but I use a cable that I know works and when I plug that to Play 3 it still doesn't work. 3. Factory resetting the play 3. Holding down the play/pause button, as it boots, makes no difference. The light stays at solid white and yet I am not able to connect 4.,resett
Why were setup and control features removed from the desktop app? I don't use nor do I want to use the mobile apps. I want my features back, please.
My sonos app wont play music from my iPhone as it says that I need to grant permission. I haven't had to do this before and the settings when I go into them show that permission is granted. I have recently synced my library on my phone but this has never caused a problem before. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks
Over the past year, the quality and usability of the Sonos app for both Windows and Android platforms have seriously degraded. We routinely have failures such as "unable to add music to the queue", "cannot find your Sonos system" and the latest one is that we cannot control the volume, pause, play or any functions. Often rooms are missing from the system. I've routinely had to reboot the system to get it to function and this afternoon, even a reboot didn't work. I had to walk into all 5 rooms where we have Sonos speakers and unplug them to stop the music. Even network, device and Sonos bridge restarts didn't work. Our wireless network coverage and signal strengths are excellent. In addition to those technical difficulties, the usability of the app has taken a serious nose dive. I used to brag about how easy the system and app were to use, then with a major upgrade about a year ago, the app changed dramatically and it is awful now. I realize that there are some change managem
I am unable to Manage my Music. My options are greyed out. I have a Mac with 10.10.5 opererating system and my Sonos has the latest updates 9.2. Help...
Is it possible to control Sonos players outside a WiFi network? Every once and a while I take my Play 5 and my NAS to work along with my CR100 controller which was not dependent on WiFi to operate everything. Now that they're no longer supported, how do I access my Music Library and Play 5 without WiFi? Could my phone be the WiFi network? I've never tried it, hence the question.
If this has been addressed then I cannot find it. I noticed whilst playing Diamond Dogs by David Bowie that the tracks were displayed and played in the incorrect track order. I then went into the app Metadatics on the Mac and checked the tags - all fine. I forced all of them to be re-written and now as seen the tracks are still in the incorrect order AND the track number isn't appearing in the controller. I changed the options in the Metadatics to write the tags in standard ID3v2.3(UTF-16). Any ideas to try to rectify would be very welcome. Let's be honest it's not a big deal as the songs play, albeit not in the order David Bowie intended, but it offends m OCD about accurate tagging!
I have lost "settings rooms" on all my controllers (iMac + iPad) + Sonos app on Huawei.
We use Sonos at work. When I receive a call that goes through my iPhone and MacBook, all the speakers on our system turn down (or pause.... not exactly sure which.) How do I set Sonos to NOT pause/turn down when a call comes through? I can't seem to find the setting within Sonos and all the similar chats I've read are actually requesting the opposite! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It is my opinion that "dropping the CR200 dedicated controller" was the WORST decision ever made by Sonos. I have just spent another wasted afternoon unsuccessfully attempting to teach an elderly customer how to control his new $3000 Sonos system without the CR200. I tried an Android phone, iPhone, iPad Mini, iPad and he could not understand how to control Sonos. My clients are all age 60+. Most don't even have smart phones. The CR200 worked perfectly for these people. I still prefer my own CR200 over any other controller. My Sonos sales have nose-dived after the CR200 was discontinued! Wake up Sonos. Even Bose understands how vital a dedicated controller is. Bring back the CR200!!!

Hi. I am soon installing a sonos system at a sailing club where all members have access to the wifi password. We want to have a sonos system where only exclusive members will be able to control the sonos speakers from their phones, so that when music is playing nobody will be changing the song just because they don't like it or want to play their own music without permission. Is there a way we can set up a password for the sonos system? Does Boost setup influence the way you can connect to sonos in terms of passwords? I was also wondering, with Spotify accounts, if you would need to pay for premium in order to skip songs or play in select order (instead of shuffle like it automatically does in the spotify app), or if you get these features in the free version when playing through the sonos app? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I asked for a black theme for the Android app the last time there was a major revision, because it is easier on the eyes and better for battery life on OLED displays. Of course Apple has started using OLED displays for the X iPhones too (other than XR). Hopefully Sonos will listen, now that Google is asking developers to do so: Google wants developers to add dark themes to save battery life https://www.xda-developers.com/google-wants-developers-to-add-dark-themes-to-save-battery-life/ (Why can't I even create a hyperlink in this forum??)
In the past when "Advanced" settings disappeared, it meant you needed to upgrade your controller app. I did, but the advanced setting still didn't appear. So I called support and I was told SONOS has removed this from the desktop controller app for technical reasons. Hmmm?, it used to be there. It used to work. I was told to use my phone app as most people use their phone and "it is the way of the future". I have a Microsoft Surface Pro. Maybe someone should tell Microsoft they are not 'in the future'. I also checked my iPad - removed. I have speaker drops on line-in and use the 'compress' setting for music over line-in. But, when I play videos the compression delay (about 1.5 seconds) doesn't sync with the motion, so I go uncompressed and deal with the drop-outs. I don't really want to be part of "the future" if I have to watch videos on a tiny phone or have to have both devices to effectively use SONOS. Silly. So I looked in support and in community and I cannot find anywhere t
