The Sonos apps "Search" feature doesn't seem to support free form text. Unless I'm missing something here

it's never supported searching for some combination of artist and album/song. Most website Search boxes have

supported this basic human interface for many years. For example, try searching for "Narcos soundtrack" or any

other intuitive combination of artist and track. Works in google, works in Spotify, works pretty much everywhere

except Sonos. Please fix. thanks.
Huh? "narcos soundtrack" works for me in my own app and the Sonos PC app against Spotify. Though not against Apple Music. Search is done by the music service, not Sonos.
Comparing MacOS Sonos version 9.2 (with Spotify music source selected)

vs MacOS Spotify version 1.0.93.244.g1e3a05e7 .

Sonos either doesn't find the obvious item at all

or displays it in the middle of obscuring junk.

Spotify is perfect hit in each of these artist+album cases.

I'm correcting my original complaint from "Search sucks" to "Search mostly sucks".

Search "narcos soundtrack"

Sonos:

Artists: no results

Albums: hit (Narcos soundtracks and several other things)

Songs: hit on Narcos song from Netflix soundtrack and others

Playlists: hits

Spotify: perfect hits

--

Search "steely dan aja"

Sonos:

Artists: no results

Albums: garbage results ("Solo Wurlitzer ..", Karaoke Version)

Songs: garbage results (all Karaoke versions)

Playlists: many (but I'm never personally interested in anyone's playlist..)

Spotify: perfect hit

Search "billy joel piano man"

Sonos:

Artists: no results

Albums: garbage (mostly Karaoke)

Songs: tons not including um Billy Joel Piano Man

Playlists: who cares

Spotify: perfect hit
I say again: "Search is done by the music service, not Sonos" - ask Spotify to fix it in their SMAPI service code.
