Every time i open the Sonos phone app i get reminded that the snooze alerts are off, If I want to turn them on. How can I get rid of this? Thanks
I currently have two separate Sonos systems under one roof/one WIFI. The first system is the original system (whole house) that I installed throughout my home, that consists of the following: - Sonos CR-200 controller (original) - Zone Player ZP90 (Connected to the router) - 8 Play 5's - 2 Play 3's - 2 play 1's The second system, installed more recently for my home theater is a Sonos Playbar, 2 Play 1's and Sonos Sub. Both systems can be seen on my Ethernet system/WiFi when I run an IP scanner on my network. When I launch the Sonos app on my iPhone 8+, (most of the time) the app displays/connects to the home theater system and sometimes the app connects to the whole-house system. Is there any way for the Sonos App (IOS) to allow choose/select either system? Right now, I can control the Home Theater system via the Sonos App and can only control the Whole-House system via the CR-200 controller. Thanks, John
Something great about Sonos is how relevant software is for the system. And saying that, I don't understand the lack of some functionality. Specifically, I'd like to see a Sonos app able to preset groups and volumes for different several situations. When I wake up, I like to group several speakers (6 out of my 11 areas), set certain volume level at each, and start playing some music. It's a long list of steps and I usually decide to forget about it. It's a shame: a house filled with Sonos speakers, quietly ignored. Currently, there are some third party apps that can do that, but I think this should be part of the Sonos controller. Didn't you choose Sonos at first because of its exclusive functions which are just impossible with other systems? Sound is great, but there are better. There are cheaper systems. There are nicer options. Sonos' real strength is functionality. They should care about stretching their leadership in this area as long as possible, improving the system capabilities
My girlfriend won't listen to podcasts with me on the Sonos because her mind wanders unless information is being jammed into her brain at hyper speed. I saw an old closed thread on this from like 5 years ago when I googled if increased play speed was possible, I feel like the option is pretty common now with even the iphone default podcast app supporting it so wanted to bring the topic up again. Please chime in if you would also use this feature.
Whenever I control my sonos system volume using my iPhone the volume settings of my phone are also altered. Does this happen to anyone else and should it be happening? Thanks.
Hi, Is there a possibility to schedule an alarm for grouped speakers? When you schedule an alarm to start playing music a a certain date/time, it's only linked to one Sonos speaker. But I want that alarm to be played on a group of Sonos speakers.
Any music lovers out there that comes from the "old school" with LP´s and CD´s would like to have the possibility of browsing through album covers to find the one album you would like to listen to? Let me illustrate with one example; Lets say you want to create a playlist entitled "Heavy Metal 2017", in which you would add whole albums from that genre and that year. After a while the playlist consist of 100 albums, wouldn´t it then be great to view these 100 albums as 100 album cover thumbnails instead of viewing track by track as a long list of 1000 songs? On the iPad/iPhone version of the controller app you have this option when viewing Sonos favorites, but you only have one Sonos Favorite "folder" and you can only add a very limited number of albums to that folder. For a start it would be great to see the limitation of albums you can add to Sonos favorites removed. But even an even better solution would be to let the user choose how he/she would like to watch their playlists - Eithe
I just installed a Beam and I found in the settings how to adjust sounds but when I do there is no difference. I have an iPhone and not using beta.
Since long time back (12m) my Sonos stopped working. When trying to start the Sonos app and start playing it says the Sonos Controller needs to be updated. The problem; it cant update. It tries for a while and then says it couldn’t update. It gives error code 1101 which is a general error for problem communicating. Have tried the diagnostic report with the Sonos support but problem remains. Doesn’t help to unplugg and reconnect devices. Have also reinstalled the entire network, same problem. I’m using a TP-LINK AC1750 router and wunder if anyone have any tips and tricks how to solve this? Maybe some router settings that needs to be configured??? Thanks
I am able to add a Song to my Sonos Playlist if I choose that single song from my music library on my Android phone. However, if I choose to shuffle all songs from My Library and then want to add a song to my Sonos Playlist the option is greyed out. Why is this? Is there a workaround for this in my settings?
provide the functionality to login to tunein radio service in order to access saved favourites from other devices. simple.
"we need to get Sonos running on the latest software" No, I really don't. Everytime I download the sonos update it will no longer connect to my controller AT ALL. Reinstalling older versions prompt me to download the BROKEN update again. The update will not detect the sonos system. Sonos now only works from my Android phone and will not work with any computer. If it's working fine, why would you FORCE an update? and not allow me to roll back to the previous version that was working yesterday? Fix your broken buggy mess of a program or I will throw it in the trash and tell all my clients to avoid Sonos like the plague.
Don't spam me in-app with ads for your products, Sonos. It's unacceptable. If you want to guarantee than I don't buy your products ever again, all you have to do is annoy me with a "new message" when I open the app, which turns out to be advertising. Stop it, please. It's very annoying, and I promise you that it's counterproductive.
After update to 8.4. my android controllers are not displaying the Music Library (local smb share on an ArchLinux NAS). Songs off the NAS play fine if I start them from a Sonos playlist that contains LIbrary Music, but they wont show up in the Android controller, Library is shown on the CR100 controller (have not checked desktop apps as I mostly use linux). I tried reindexing the share, deleting and adding the share (which seems to work as playlists still play). Does any one face a similar issue? Submited diagnostic 1661247771 for this.
Sonos cannot connect to my mac. I have followed all the instructions and very frustrated as I have spent a lot of money on an Audio consultant and the hardware ... and am still playing music on my phone when we have guests! please help!
I have just bought a Playbase and 2 Play:1 speakers. I have set them up as surround sound with true sound but the TV sound from my Playbase takes over and I can hardly hear the Play:1 rear speakers. How can I have simultaneous sound from all three (Playbase an Play:1) but be able to adjust the sound + and - in each Play:1 rear speaker?
lower minimum volume level: I spent my money to buy your product just because of the quality and the best wireless speakers. for goodness sake!!! fix the volume!!!!!! I can't listen to my library or radio stations because the damn speaker is just toooooo loud at minimum level. My wife has been complaining and i don't want to end up in the dog house or buy a bose system. This issue has been going on for 2 years and you guys still can't fix it. shame, shame, shame.....
I've been running my SONOS from a Windows 10 PC and all was well until they updated the controller which no longer does many things including pairing speakers etc. My Samsung tablet was working well but even the latest app no longer works with SONOS. As I'm not likely to spend loads of money buying a newer model tablet just to run SONOS I thought I'd get an app for my Windows phone. Apparently one is not available. What now?!
The issue I'm making this feature request to address is that, with Google Play Music, if I navigate to a podcast and want to listen to all the available episodes, and so I double-click the podcast to add all the episodes to the queue and replace it, they go in in reverse order. By which I mean the latest episode is the first in the queue, and then the next latest is the second in the queue. This means that when the podcast episodes start playing, I hear the latest one first. Which would be great if I were a regular listener, but isn't so great with podcasts where I don't listen regularly. Because there could be 2 or more episodes I then listen to in reverse order. Recognizing that part of it may be that Google Play Music's sorting is non-standard and reversed (I don't know - this is just conjecture), what would be nice would be a quick way to re-sort the queue to reverse it from its current sorting. If this is an operation I am just missing how to do in the current version of
How do you switch back to TV from music on the new Amp? I'm having problems switching between both - particularly back to TV?
I've attempted to unsubscribe from all Sonos marketing emails on multiple occasions, including contacting support. I continue to receive Sonos marketing emails despite all attempts. Has anyone successfully opted-out of Sonos marketing emails?
Sonos app said an update was needed. After update, Trueplay, EQ settings are not available. Under settings the following options are available: app settings, date and time, system, about, reset, submit diag. I am running iOS 9 on a iPhone 4s. What is really frustrating is that it has been working fine until the update. Help !!!
Not sure if this has been suggested before but couldn't find anything so apologize in advance if so: Has anyone done this as a workaround for the 65k track library limit? I have close to 500k tracks in my NAS based library. I gave up trying to make a 65k track library but streaming services have major f'ing holes in their offerings. So here is a proposed solution: A script that indexes your local library and then queries the services you subscribe to. It then compares what is in your local library with what is available through streaming. Based upon the results of those queries it makes a subset of your local library that moves or makes symbolic links to a library subset (folder) that Sonos then indexes. Your local library thereby only makes a library that complements what is available on streaming. This won't work for everyone like myself (e.g. live music libraries) but it will for studio albums. This could be set up to be done quarterly or monthly to limit overhead of all the q
