When will true tune be available for android products?

Sonos please task one of your engineers with adding a password option to the Sonos system just like Apple has done with their Homepods! Airplay2 is a game changer when it comes to an open system like Sonos because any device with Airplay2 capability can take control of a sonos system without intentionally installing the Sonos app. While this is convenient on some networks it is a royal pain in the arse for others. Take my home network as an example. I have two wireless networks - one for the family and one for guests. The guest network has no access to Sonos which is great. But everyone on the family network can control any speaker in the Sonos system because there is no way to secure them. Unfortunately I can't put them on a separate subnet due to the shared media and backup servers. Sure, I ask them not to connect to certain speaker and groups, but they don't see the harm in having the house filled with their cool tunes while I'm at work. Can't really

Will there be any chance, that Sonos will support Apple HomeKit in the future?

I have searched around with no luck. I am looking for a basic controller app user manual or tutorial - NOT the limited sub-topic-specific videos. I would like to just take the time to go through all the features of the app (ios in my case) at once.

At low listening volume settings, speaker drivers benefit from the use of loudness filters (or manual tone controls). The Sonos "Loudness" works very well with my Play 5's and Sub, but I need to open software to operate the switch and to de activate it. Relaxed, quiet listening would be really enjoyable if there was an option for users to set a minimum volume at which the filter switches on, or starts to take effect gradually as volume settings are reduced. Is there such an option built into the Sonos software?

Not an initial setup -- I've been using Sonos on a Mac and iPhone for weeks, now the Mac controller is being denied access to the iTunes music library. Problem started after I installed the most recent Mac update (10.9.2) on the laptop. I've checked permissions, removed and tried to re-add the library, restarted router, etc.

I keep getting a message saying I have Sonos notifications on my iMac however I cannot see anywhere they might be held on the Sonos desktop (for Mac).

Hi I got Sonos Play:1 speaker and trying to get it to work with SonosTube iPhone app but gettitng an error code 2 message saying “SonosTube failed to play the video on iPhone/ iPad. Reopen the SonosTube app.” I tried restarting the app 3-4 times but no luck. Does anyone know what this error is about and how to resolve it ? PS: speaker works fine with same iPhone using Sonos Controller app. Thanks, Vishal

Not as much talk about yesterdays sonos anouncment as I would have expected from such a passionate community. So what are people thinking? Obviously Amazon Echo has impacted SONOS but how do you go from hiring new people and planning a retail store to cutting staff? What's next ? Should we be concered about making more current investments in sonos hardware (I really want to buy a sub)? People have been posting for months about voice support and for years about DTS. The standard response is sonos doesn't comment on future enhancements or new products. We know what we have today and there pretty darn good products but we all want to be excited and look forward to what's coming next.

So I now have a Nuimo, not the one I ordered still but I have one. I will do a more detailed considered review but there are my first impressions:- Build quality is superb, almost to the point of over engineering. The rotate volume ring is just SO smooth with a great weighting too. Click top is good and the swipe gestures work well on the capacative screen. The "fly" gesturing is hit and miss. You should be able to wave you hand in the airspace above the unit to move tracks and change volume. This needs some more work as it is too easy to get to full volume and get stuck there. Yet to get it to change tracks with the gestures. Learnings:- The Nuimo is paired to your phone so you have to have that with you to control the sonos units. The controls are currently limited to Play, Pause, Skip forward and back and then Volume. You can use it for more than one sonos speaker or group, although I am not sure how to switch y

I recently set up two Sonos connects to control my existing home speaker system. I have already had lots of issues with my WiFi so we have multiple WiFi networks throughout our home to have everyone on a good connection. However when it comes to Sonos it appears to only be able to be on one WiFi network. The network doesn’t reach either connect with that great of a signal. The problem arises that while I’m walking around my house the app seems to lose connection or can’t find the system. So my question is would it be better to buy a boost or is this a WiFi networking problem that I need to fix with wireless access points? Also would wiring one of the connects help this?

I'd like to use the Sonos app on my Mac to play my music through the computers built in speakers.

My Sonos app works great one day and then doesn’t work the following it is driving me crazy

So I had a Sonos One set up with Alexa and it was named "Office". I bought a Sonos 3 for that room and named it "Study", moved the One to the bedroom and have been trying to rename it "Bedroom" instead of "Office". I've renamed it in the Sonos and Alexa apps. When I do that the name is correct but if I close the app and open it again the name goes back to "Office". It's not a massive issue but it's got me puzzled and i can't work out how to fix it. Any ideas?

I may have discovered something interesting or I may be an idiot but you might want to try this on your Android controller and see if it makes any difference. I have a bunch of different Samsung tablets, all usually positioned in cradles with the long side horizontal. On every one of the dratted things my Sonos widget keeps going blank and it takes multiple cycles of tap and return to the home screen before it would show data again. I'd pretty much given up on the widget today and decided to shrink it down to a smaller size and use the space for other stuff. On every tablet I had the widget two rows high and one row (on each side) short of full width, when I shrank it down to have two open rows on each side of it, poof magic, my data came back. So far it has worked on every tablet and after several hours none of them have gone back to blank. If you have the problem try it and let me know if it makes a difference for you.

If I have one of my Android tablets' Sonos widget connected to a player and I remove power from that player the widget drops the connection to my Sonos setup. Powering the component back on does not restore the connection to the Sonos system. Hadn't noticed this until 8.1 or so but it may have been an issue earlier. How do I get the widget to reconnect to the Sonos system without having to reboot the tablet?

Please release a version of the Sonos controller software that is compatible with Ubuntu / Debian based Linux distributions. I can't believe it's not possible to control my Sonos system from my Ubuntu laptop. Also I find it ironic that Sonos has chosen not to support the very operating system that their speakers all run on "Linux", which a lot of engineers made available to them for free. The least Sonos can do is support that community by making the controller software also run on Linux.

We have been seeing a large spike in my wifi data (Xfinity) and have would like to make sure that we are streaming in cellular (unlimited plan) and playing to Sonos from Spotify. Please help me get this setup or show me how to check the data useage.

I find the ios app and the andriod app are rubish not logical. And definitly not user friendly the Sonos team dont seem to understand, my wife complains she cant use it to play music, please Sonos do something to make it easier to use.

I am new to Sonos and this community forum. I recently bought 2 x Play 1's and the Beam. Before this I owned a Marantz set whit Monitor Audio RX speakers and this set (as every set) had the possibility to switch between 2.0 or 5.1... oh sorry I am to early. But first in short about me, 44 years of age, wife / kid and happy #happydays. And decided to sell my Marantz set and buy the a Sonos set.... why you ask... we dont's play any CD, DVD or BR anymore and it is bulky in the living room (as the wife said). So I bought two new Play-1 and a Beam and maybe.. new and unopened. I said maybe I will buy the Sub 2.0.... but during the setup I was surprised that I as a consumer can't decide where to place the two Play-1 in the front or in the rear. No Sonos want you to place them in the rear, no question about that (now I don't feel like buying the sub anymore). will there or is there a spot for the equalizer portion of tuning besides bass and treble? it would be a nice feature in the future

I'll resurrect this as this is the exact issue I'm having. Only on an iPhone X running all the latest iOS. My wife's iPhone 7 Plus, again, fully updated, works fine. My iPad Pro, works fine. iPhone X does the same exact issue as described. I even went so far yesterday to fully wipe the phone. Full factory reset wondering if other apps or MDM (Airwatch) might have impacted it. Set up a brand new phone (no restore), installed the Sonos app first. Used it and the issue immediately happened. Works great until I switch to another app or let the screen go dark. When I re-open it/go back to app, it's frozen. Totally unresponsive and the only way to get it to work is close the app, reopen it, wait about 5 seconds as it 'reboots' itself.

I think it would be super bad ass if you could set a geofence on your iphone using the sonos app so that you could automatically start music playing as you connect to your wifi pulling into driveway.  You could either resume what you were playing when you left and paused it, or a selected playlist. This would be a great marketing point too, as it is very cool.

I wondering that exist some sonos cloud web-api to direct controll particular speeker or group speekers using created user account which allow me just : - play/stop music from file stored on HD on server or smartphone - controll volume Actualy I read information from https://musicpartners.sonos.com/?q=docs On this page I not find information about how controll speekers but only about how to create own music service. I don't need create all service and implment all API I need only simply function as above. I find how to controll speekers using UPnP, using SOAP body request but this is available only on local. If I want to controll from external (my web-service)I will need to forward 1400 port on my routers. Any way this is not safe, and I would like to controll speeker from sonos cloud (if exist) using autorization via account.

Would love a smart app to interface with my Sonos from my TVs. While investigating some streaming on my TVs this holiday season I noticed Calm Radio, Radio Tune In (Rock Radio and Jazz Radio Stations), SiriusXM, etc. I have subscriptions to all three services. And use them with my Sonos. Since I have a couple Playbars, I was able to run the Smart Apps and then send the music to my other Sonos Speakers. While playing around with this I realized how awesome it would be to just pick up the TV Remote to go to a Sonos Smart App and pick music, group, etc. I also have a Synology NAS with Plex. I could also use the Plex Smart App to play music. Would be awesome to be able to control Sonos from the same type of app without tablet or phone around. Just a dream to make my Sonos system that much more awesome!!!
