Talk about Sonos S1 and S2 Controller apps for mobile, and the desktop app. This is also the place to talk about partner apps, Airplay, and direct control.

I guess I already know the answer - no. In fact I want to remove the 'Update Now' icon - I don't want an update and don't need to be reminded everytime I use the desktop app.
After expending about $3000.00 US on my system I am told that I need a phone to set it up.. who does this to their customers ??? No phone no setting up my system.Really SONOS ???
I was wondering if it was possible to make the speakers have a lower volume. For very low background music. The lowest setting still seems too loud. Otherwise, I am really enjoying the SONOS experience. 😃
The lowest volume is too high. I'd like to make use of the sleep-function of the play 3. Works flawlessly, but the lowest volume is still too high. Please set the lowest volume to be less loud, so i can fall asleep peacefully with some music.
I was really happy with my relationship with Sonos when they made high end speakers and were content with that as a business model. But now they seem to want my data, so much so that I can't use the speakers without sharing some data about myself and my usage. I'm no longer happy to be in that relationship with them. How do I delete my account? The speakers are going on craigslist.
I would like to be able to use the Sonos Android app to select music to play. I have my music on a DLNA server (MediaMonkey) and I am able to browse the library in my Sonos app. However, I'm only able to add songs to the queue one-by-one. I would like to be able to select an album and have it play the whole album (or everything from an artist or a playlist). Is there any way to do this with the Android app? I found this topic that has a similar question and has the following reply: Hi Tobbe, Using the Android Controller for Sonos you can go into the Music menu and select Windows Media servers, such as your UPnP server. You can add whole albums or individual tracks from the using that browser. To add multiple albums or tracks, you will have to add one two the queue, then the next. There isn't an option to select multiple tracks or albums to add from any source on the mobile controllers. ThanksI know this reply is very old, so the Android app has probably changed a lot... But I
Hi, I have a pair of PLAY:1s and control them via the Sonos app on my iPhone. My music is all held on a server with a UPnP app (Asset) doing the serving up music bit. The UPnP server has various playlists exported from iTunes and JRiver Media Center which I can access from my other media devices (eg Denon CEOL and Naim ND5 XS) either through an app or a remote control handset. Either option gives me the feature to play all songs on the playlist in either sequential or random order. However I can't seem to find an equivalent 'play all' option on the Sonos app. I can add the playlist to 'My Sonos' but that still doesn't give me a 'play all' option, it seems to want me to add each song individually to the play queue. I know that can't be right so what am I missing? Any help most welcome as it's starting to drive me nuts 😞
So, yes, I know there have been a few threads on this subject but I still don't have a solution. I've moved house recently and only have half the rooms set up with four rooms. My controller has five rooms. I can't just reset the unwanted room/speaker as it doesn't exist. Anyone else had the same issue recently please?
Hello everyone! New Sonos customer. Just picked up four PLAY 5 units and have two SONOS ONE on preorder. Just set up my system. Very easy. Since I share this household with more than just myself, is it possible to create separate user IDs on the Sonos app so that everyone can have their own login with their own playlists? Currently as I see it -- unless I am missing something --- everything is tied together to just one account on all devices and you are forced to see everyone else's playlist. Thanks in advance
I know this has been discussed before. Asking for more attention and resolution. Ive posted in an old thread, but posting here in hopes to get some visibilty. Somehow my system had a major hiccup and i lost the voice channel from my front sound bar and my surround speakers were way too loud but playing rear right and rear left channels. They were just uber loud. Nothing was changed since i had performed the trueplay tune on initial setup. I had to borrow a neighbors kids ipod to do it 3 years ago. Im a samsung user and did not have the ability to retune the room. I only had the ability to turn off true play, and it did not improve the problem. Until i located someone with an apple product, my sonos system was completely useless, as well as my entire entertainment system. I love my sonos. I currently own 7 sonos products, but im finding it hard to continue to recommend sonos unless they support devices other than apple. I see this as a system/product defect. Please help with a resolutio
The latest version of the Sonos app is utter rubbish*!! and disconnects all the time, refuses to play what's been chosen, your now unable to control from the lock screen.
The Windows desktop controller used to work fine, but it now just displays a square Sonos logo for a few seconds then shuts down without even getting to the point of displaying the main software form. I've downloaded and installed the latest version and have done a full shutdown and restart of my laptop. Any clues?
Since updating my controllers to 9.0, the app keeps freezing up on my iOS devices. I have to close the app and stop it from running in the background before starting it up again. It will briefly work again before freezing again. I have deleted the app, shut down my device and reinstalled it. Still have the same issue. Anyone else having the same experience? And will this be fixed?
Is there any way to get Windows to see the Sonos controller app as a media player so the dedicated media keys on many keyboards can be used? The keyboard shortcuts already available are not as convenient as the dedicated Play/Pause, Next Track etc. keys I already have. Also, they only work when the Sonos app has the focus. If I'm reading or playing a game I can't use the keyboard shortcuts. If you could make the Sonos app respond to media keys it would be very convenient. Thanks.
Got a sub today. I love the output but I’m having a bit of an issue. Due to my room layout I can only position the sub to the side of my sitting position. Low sub tones are generally non directional but I find that the sub also seems to handle a lot of mid tones for some reason which means that my ear can locate its position. It is rather annoying. Is there a way to change the crossover frequency with the beam so that the beam handles the low mid tones and the sub concentrates just on the deep notes? In an ideal world I would move the sub closer to the beam at the front near the tv but unfortunately it’s not possible.
Sonos app allows me to add single titles to playlist but doesn't provide a function to add and play full albums at once.
hi, any way we can rename rooms with the Sonos Desktop Version ? I am using Version 10.0 thanks for your reply. f
I updated my system composed of two paired one’s and the moment that finished sound stopped coming out of one pair and the controller now just continually says I need to check for updates. It does that, says no updates are available, then goes back to the screen saying check for updates. No chance/ability to repair and tune, what gives?
I've got a $19 MP3 player hooked to my home audio system continually playing a mix of 80s music -- and it plays randomly. I'd love to be able to do this with my Sonos Connect but I don't think it's an option - but could be. I'd like to have a long playlist that I can put on random (shuffle) AND repeat all. I do NOT want it to keep repeating the tracks in the same order each time it starts over (which is what currently happens). It should randomly play each song once (which shuffle does) and then play each song again in a different random order - forever. Said another way, once the last song in the shuffled play list has been reached, I'd like it to re-shuffle the playlist and then start again from the top. If I've missed some option, please share. If not, I hope some devs are reading the forums... I know this isn't a tough feature to implement -- the UI design would be the longest meeting (where would we put that option? ;-)) BTW: I'm playing songs from my local library
Please allow for the volume slowly increase for alarms and decrease it for sleep mode. The feature I envision would be an option for alarms and sleep which takes a fade-in or fade-out time. A default time of 5 minutes is reasonable. When enabled the alarm will start at just above 0 volume and gradually increase to the volume configured for the alarm over the configured fade-in time. Likewise, once the sleep timer reaches the fade-out time remaining the volume will gradually decrease to zero over the configured fade-out time.
There have been reports that, on some Huawei Android phones like the P20 Pro, music playback stops after the phone goes to sleep, presumably because the phone kills the Sonos app. This happens despite exempting the app from battery optimisation (see the steps in the second link): https://en.community.sonos.com/troubleshooting-228999/streaming-on-android-6806131/index1.html#post16308919 https://www.reddit.com/r/Huawei/comments/9w44bz/p20_pro_and_sonos_keeps_stopping/ Has this been fixed? Is it a known issue? Are there Huawei users which can make the Sonos app work just fine? On a more technical note, is the Sonos app set as a foreground service? This should help prevent the OS from killing it I know I can benefit from a generous return period when I buy the Sonos, but I'd like to get the full picture before I decide to pull the trigger. Thanks!
Trying to Trueplay a room, no room set up on my iPad. Where did it go?
They have ruined the PC interface.
How do I stop popup notification in the corner of Mac screen every time song changes? 🙂
What happened to seeing what is playing on the lock screen on your iOS device? I know it still shows a small window, but it used to show the whole screen with a black background. The new one is cheesy looking. Go back to the old one like the android.
