I have Amazon Music Unlimited. When I search for music by artists either nothing or a subset of the available music is displayed. If I go to the Amazon Music App I can see the full amount. I would stream from my iPad but music playback from Sonos app on laptop normally is better with fewer drop outs than my iPad/iPhone. For example, I type Bob Marley and nothing shows.
I have 2 Play5 a playbar and a ZP90. I used to control all from either my iPhone or my Mac. After being nagged for the last few months to upgrade the controller, (by the way I also have a CR200 which has not completed an upgrade and has locked itself out for 2 years, not that I was that concerned as the iPhone and Mac worked fine) I finally succumbed and upgraded to S1. Now only the playbar can be seen within the app. As that is in the lounge attached to the telly, and the ZP90 is in my study near to my Mac, I am extremely annoyed. I guess I should have known that this was going to happen, but there you go.Can I have an older version of the controller software to install on the Mac and get my ZP90 back, as well as the Play5?
I recently was forced again to update the Sonos controller app. Now I cannot access the system. No matter what I do I either get only a few of the speakers or none at all. I am absolutely besides myself. This use to be such a great product but as they matured it has really been a nightmare that seldom works consistently. I DON’T WANT YOUR UPDATES...THEY SUCK!!! I just want it to work. I have invested thousands of dollars in these products over the years and I feel like I just want to give up and start all over. It is just so frustrating. I am really hating on SONOS right now.
I have 1 “Playbar” and 2 “Play:1” speakers. The instructions for using the Trueplay function for SONOS S2 App Version 12.1.1 latest update as of 10-16-2020 is as follows. From the Settings tab, tap System and then select the speaker you wish to tune. Tap Trueplay > Trueplay Tuning and follow the in-app instructions to tune your speaker. When I tap System and select the speaker I don’t see any option for TruePlay. All I have for options is “EQ”; “Surround Audio” and “Volume Limit”. I’ve been all over this App and nowhere is there a “Trueplay
I have been running the S2 Controller on my PC without any problem until yesterday when I attempted to install an latest update I was unable to complete the installation. Has anyone else had a problem, if so, how has it been solved? Thanks.
Aug 9, 2020, 11:06 AMSo Google has ended Google Play, which is still on your app, and transferred to YouTube Music, which I don't see on your app. Trying to find out if I'm still going to be able to play my own music on your speaker given that Google is holding my entire library hostage and won't even allow me to play my own music on their own speakers. Don't see how to add YouTube Music on the new app either. Doesn't seem like Sonos responds to direct messages since they havent responded to a question sent months ago
if Sonos port RCA out connect to external active speaker RCA in, will I be able to play Sonos radios from Sonos app to external speaker. Thanks
Don’t want to run SMB 1 on my NAS. Have 3 older Play 5’s so am on S1 and my workstations are all Macs so no Sonos-native HTTP sharing.Thinking of running NAS at SMB 2.1 (I think that is required for Time Machine; will test with 3.0 only and see) which if course breaks access to Sonos for my music files on the NAS.Has anybody run a Docker container of Samba on the NAS (with its own IP address) and mounting your audio files and allowing that container to share out your audio files via a separate IP as SMB 1.0?
HiHow do I set an “alarm” that turns off the music in a room at a specified time ? This was possible earlier by setting an alarm that had the function “turn off”, this is no longer available, so how do I set my system to automatically turn off music at eg 23:45 ?
How can I change my Spotify account in Sonos? I don't see any spotify/music services related options in my Android. Thx for any help. Georg
Connect not loud enough when “Variable”Great when Pass-Through ?Looking for the magical ‘button’ to TURN IT UP! .ungood.bestN
Hi, We have Crestron TSW-760 touch panels running firmware 2.009.0061 & Sonos apps version 10.6.2. Crestron recently released a webpage stating that this would be the last version of Sonos app for the TSW-x60 line of panels. Crestron has another page suggesting that TSW-x60 will only support S1 & that they have no products that support S2 (“New products supporting S2 coming soon”). Is that your reading of this? Has anyone updated Sonos to S2 & seen what happens on the Crestron screens? Will Crestron break for sure? It looks like it will be a one way move… S2 cannot downgrade to S1, and Crestron has no plans to update the Sonos app so if it doesn’t work with S2, then it’s game over for Crestron to be able to control Sonos. If anyone in our building presses the “Update” button in the Sonos iOS app, then we’re screwed. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
I am a Premium Member of The Jazz Groove. They advised me that they are in discussions with Sonos about adding to Sonos Music Services. How long does this process take? Thank you for reading. The Jazz Groove
Is there a way to export the names of songs/artists on a playlist into word, excel or similar?
I have several Sonos products in my home. None of my devices will connect to my products. This seems to have happened after the last update for my Apple iPhone and iPad. I have talk to support they were supposed to be getting back to me last week and I have not heard back from them
Are web links (http://*) supported in Music Library external m3u/pls playlists? When I try playing these internet streams, I get “Unable to add songs to the queue”.I have m3u playlists working with local files (on a nas), and the same custom radio stations work from TuneIn, but I would really like to be able to maintain custom internet radio station links (Digitally Imported premium etc) in an external file, instead of the clunky interface for adding radio stations manually one by one in the Sonos controller apps, with no grouping. The playlist files work in other applications, but apparently not on Sonos (S1).I’ve tried searching for this, but couldn’t find any descriptions or problems matching.
I have multiple Sonos systems.Update to S1 app failed. None of the Sonos systems will work.Unplugged and reconnected all Sonos -- did not resolve Factory reset Sonos systems - did not resolve Reinstalled S1 app - cannot find any Sonos systems Rebooted router (although was functioning fine) - no help.Out of ideas.
When starting the Sonos S2 app, all the speakers used to play in unison. Now, in order for them to play music, I’d have to click the main volume button and individually adjust the volumes for each of the speakers. Why is this happening now? Was there a system update that affected this? I have 10+ speakers with a boost system in the middle of all of them.
Sonos 2 su***none of my friends who come over can use it now it’s always going out and making me reset or reinstall it there is no longer a MacBook app that works with it that I can find So can I uninstall S2 and reinstall S1?where do I find a S1 app for MacBooks where do I find S2 apps for iPhone/iPadThanks! *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the community guidelines.*
iPhone app is working but S1 and S2 are not. Error message is: You need to setup at least one product to get the music started.I have sub, 2 Play 3 and one Play 1 playing music via the iPhone app. Thanks!Ben
The new app seems to leak of a feature that was previously working fine on Android devices: if I want to tune a single speaker volume previously I was able to use the up/down devide buttons to move the volume bar, after selecting (touching) a single volume bar of a speaker, now the only way is to move you finger on the screen but this is not going to be a “fine tune” against using the buttons
One of my two sonos sl speakers is still connected but doesn't play music when system is activated. The other speaker plays fine. I can't figure out how to fix this. Most FAQs refer to network or router issues. This is not the problem.
I live in family of four and each one of us loves to listen to different kind of music on different platforms. Some like to listen to radio and some like to listen to music from Spotify or Apple music for example. Sonos did great job with flexibility. We can make queue from music that is on different platforms and you can even combine it with music from your computer. I personally listen to music using sonos everyday at particular time. It became a habit for me. But when you do this everyday , the selection of music is not new everyday, so I add the same songs to queue everyday for some time. And it is annoying to do it everyday since my whole family is using that one device and the queue is constantly changing. It would be awesome to do something like pre-selected queues that you can customize and add as much as you want and just replace the whole current queue with your personalized queue with just one click so you dont have to click through all that stuff to make your same queue e
Is it possible to stop controller access to music stored on my android phone. And play only music stored on my pc?At the moment sonos seems to pick up anything stored on my micro sd card on my phone. I would rather it didn't.
with the upgrade from S1 to S2 controller app on Mac OS, the Sonos app stops when the computer goes into sleep mode. This never happened with S1. How can this be resolved?
