Controllers and Music services

We have the S2 app. Both my wife and I have our own YouTube playlists.  But we can not share(or see) one another's playlist.  How can this be arranged?

Hello,when I search a track in Sonos, wherever i start from (my music, deezer, my artists) the result is not limited to my tracks (favourites or belonging to playlist) but all tracks from deezer are shien. how should I do to search my favourites from my Deezer playlist ?Hope this was clear enough,thanks

2020-12-10 12:29:13I am trying to add the Music folder on my DS720+ to my Sonos application and get error message that says "Sonos was unable to add the music folder". According to Sonos "To use a NAS drive with Sonos, the NAS must support the SMB(v1)/CIFS file-sharing protocol.".I cannot find anything on the 720+ that shows that particular file-sharing protocol.Help please.Hi, Sonos uses SMB 1. Please check that SMB1 is the Minimum file transfer protocol on your NAS.  Go to Control Panel > File Services > SMB > click on the Advanced Settings button > then change the SMB protocol and hit Apply.   ______________________________________________________________AWESOME! I have music stored on an sd card on my s20 fe 5g phone.A few of the artists/albums are shown in music on this device tab..but like10%..these are stored in the same way, on the sd card.How do I get sonos s2 app to see all the rest? 

In the sonos app I can no longer find sonos playlists on my iPad, but see them fine on my phone.  I can add songs to them, but cannot see them, I can even add a new playlist but they are never displayed.  Were playlists moved somewhere or removed for some reason?  Again, show up on phone but not iPad.  

You keep doing updates for stupid little tweaks nobody Really cares about and screwing up our systems every time. Once again I just spent over an hour uninstalling and reinstalling your app, unplugging and replugging in all 6 of my speakers. Disabling Sonos in alexa, re-enabling Sonos. Searching for speakers in the Sonos app. Once again I have everything working. Next week you will tweak some other setting and there goes the whole system again. Wait until you actually have an update people care about. 

Having had a Spotify Premium account for many years now and never been entirely happy that I was getting the most out of the speakers in my listening room I took advantage of the Tidal subscription offer and did a month’s trial of their HiFi subscription over Christmas. My initial findings are below and I’d be very interested if anyone else has carried out a similar exercise.Executive Summary:To save you reading all of the below, my conclusions and findings are as follows:Tidal HiFi > FLAC >> Spotify Premium but only on high-end set ups. Arcam’s 15 year old DACs are noticeably better than the DAC in Sonos’ Port Tidal & Sonos is unstable for large (greater than 3 Zone set ups)As a result of point three above, and the fact that it only offered an advantage in 1/8th of my set up I shall not be renewing my Tidal subscription as it does not offer (me) sufficient value for money.System:8 Sonos Zones on S2 consisting of: Play:1, 2x One SL (paired), One (2nd Gen), Play:3, Five, Mo

HiWhen saving a song from Apple Music within Sonos there are a couple of options. Save to playlist is good and I can see the music in the playlist selected. Another option is save to my Sonos. I can’t seem to find the music after selecting this option. Where is the music saved to? I don’t necessarily want to add to a playlist all the time.cheersrob

Hi,I recently got a Sonos One SL that i love very much.I discovered the Radio option and i used it for days. I was really happy with it because I had small “commercials” and small history facts about the bands in English. But since today, I get longer commercials in Dutch (I am living in Belgium and it is an official language) as well. I get that it is a free service and commercials is the way they fund it but is there a reason that it suddenly changed? And is it possible to get it back as it was before?Thank you in advance,Alex

Have (2) moves that I love but would love even more if you guys can help.  I pair them for stereo and have tried to play them via wifi / Sonus App and Airplay with the Movie from the MAC on wifi and it works but not in stereo / both speakers.  It drops to one speaker only.  Any help on how to make it work? 

When playing Sirius XM stations using the S2 controller the current song is not displaying correctly. Is this a Sirius or Sonos issue? Seems to have started after I upgraded to the S2 controller.  Anyone else running into this?

We are looking to set up a system in an office environment.  We will be providing ceiling speakers in individual offices, and connecting each office to a Port device.  Those Port devices will be controlled by a multichannel amplifier.  The individual users will have control of their speaker through the Sonos app over wifi.  Is there a way to only allow the users access to their Port/speaker, and no others?

S2 app should allow saving of multiple Trueplay tunings. One benefit for this is that you can easily go back to a previous Trueplay configuration if your latest Trueplay tuning made the sound worse for your Sonos setup. Also, with the reports that Trueplay gives different results depending on the iOS device you’ve used (e.g., https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/haxk68/sonos_arc_metallic_sound_sonos_community_please/fv7id97/), saved custom Trueplay profiles allow easy/swift comparison between two different tunings.

My Sky Q touch and normal remote have stopped working with my Sonos Beam. They were working ok up until last week. Both Sky remote controls not working but Samsung TV remote control works ok. I have tried switching TV and Sonos systems on and off several times as well as trying to reconnect using Sonos app with no success 

My son recently downloaded the Sonos app to his new Android.  Apparently, he was prompted to update the Play 1 speakers I bought last year.  That rendered the controller on my iPhone 5 unusable.  This happened to me once before, when he did the same thing on what was then his iPhone 5.  That fubar’d the contoller on my Blackberry 10.  So I bought a used Kindle Fire, on someone else’s advice, which turned out to be incompatible.  A few months later, I inherited his old iPhone. I should have stopped him!

Is there a way to rearrange the order in which items appear in the Music Source window? Ideally, I want to bring my Spotify playlists up to the main page so I can see them right away. As it is now, I have to go through several steps to get there.Thanks.Russ

For probably 2 years I have not been able to log onto the SONOS S1 App on my iPhone.I think I used an old email address which the app defaults to.  I can’t see where I can update my email address and I can’t remember my old password.  I have created an online account with my current email address - but the app will not accept it.I have deleted the app and reinstalled it - but it always asks for the password to an old email address.Is there anything I can to do get my app working properly - not being able to log in restricts the things I can use if for. Any advice would be welcome.

I have a Denon AVR-X6400H which has the HEOS wireless streaming integration.  I would really like to wirelessly stream to my Sonos Move through one of the additional zones on the Denon.Is this is possible?

Virtually every time I access my S1 system on my PC it demands an update. A tedious process which can take a number of minutes. This is ridiculous. Surely it doesn’t need updating every 1 or 2 days?

Hi. I have just bought an Arc which is grouped with my Sub and 2 Ones. All connected to my Sony AG9. I use the Sonos system for movies and music most of the time. While watching tv (news, etc) I sometimes have music playing and would like to be able to get sound from my tv speakers. However, the sonos audio set up always overides the tv choice and I am unable to do either thing: I can’t have music playing on sonos and watch tv with sound and I can’t simply use my tv speakers. Is this normal? The Ag9 sound is more than enough to watch the news and I would like to be able to have music playing at the same time. The automatic overide makes no sense....
