Controllers and Music services

The latest version upgrade of S2 12.2.4 has started to say that the OS on my Motorola G4+ phone Android 7.0 is no longer supported. It now no longer finds my Sonos Play:1 and Play:3 speakers in the app. The notification directs me to the Sonos website documentation that says that Andriod 7 is supported. I haven’t seen any announcements that Sonos is dropping support for Android 7. Why is this happening?

I have read the community questions, but haven’t found this answer.Our music library works, I can play the music from my iPhone when routed through my husband’s library (he loaded all of my music there, can’t play direct from my phone). What do I need to do to have my music play when he takes his laptop with him?

Can you use the same Sonos email account for both the S1 and S1 "parts" in a s1 s2 split system - or - do you need a different e-mail for the new s2 part?

I have x2 Gen1 play 5’s, a play bar and  x2 gen 1 play 1’s.Since I tried to set up the S2 app I realised that the Gen1 5’s aren’t compatable. Now I can’t link all the speakers back together on the S1 app as they show as not compatible including the boost. Seems I can only access half the system at a time via either App, but not them all like I used to be able to do!I hope this isn’t permanent ?? 

There are several articles etc online about this but most seem out of date. Am I able to have the Sonos control show on my iPhone X Lock Screen? Do I have to somehow turn off airplay to do this? If so, why? Because that is very annoying. If I do, how do I do it?

Why does my Sonos app show that I have a subscription for Sonos Radio HD when I don't?When I click on the link, it opens this page:Can you please stop pushing your HD radio? I have not spent hundreds of pounds on your equipment so that I can listen to radio, HD or otherwise.  If I want your HD radio, I'll subscribe, but please remove this duff information about me having a subscription when I don't!   

Hi,I really miss the function to set pre-defined volume levels for different groups of speakers.for instance I have a beam, a five and a roam all grouped together in my living room. I use them separately (like beam for tv and roam on the go) but playing music in my living room I want to use them together in a set volume and not have to manually adjust themthis topic seems to have been around in different threads for years without any action taken.is there any plans to implement such a solution to the system? It seems like a fairly easy SW adaption.

I currently have 2 x Play 3’s (in different rooms) and looking to add a turntable to setup. I thought the only way this was possible was via the Sonos Port but having looked into this a solution i believe is getting a Five and connecting via line-in. I’m just weighing up my options now. I have a few questions/concerns and would appreciate any inputs from the community!  If I was to bring my 2 x Play 3’s together in the same room and pair as L & R - I understand i would need a Sonos Port to connect the turntable to this. Would this give me better sound/pack more of a punch than if i was just to replace with 1 x Five? It’s an average sized living room and currently the 1 x Play 3 in there is adequate for music but i really like the idea of L & R. Could I still get the same richness of sounds from the latest tech and single speaker of the Five?  My concern on pairing the 2 x Play 3’s is that these speakers are quite old. While they work perf

Hey guys, new sonos arc and sub owner here. Absolutely love the new setup. However my PS5 requires vastly different EQ settings than watching movies. I can’t seem to find any way to save EQ profiles. Anyone figure it out?

It turns out that I cannot update anymore my library music index because the operative system (Android) on my phone is too old, though I did run an update not such a long time ago! This is very annoying and irritating indeed. Am I supposed to buy a new phone every time Sonos stops supporting a certain version of Android? Is this some kind of planned obsolescence in agreement with Apple, Samsung and co to force customers to buy a new phone? I’m wondering more and more. If Sonos folks want to buy me a new phone they are welcome! I just feel like selling all my Sonos stuff and going back to my old good CD and LP players.

Hi I have the sonos app installed on my iPhone and iPad, im selling my iPhone soon and unsure how I should uninstall the sonos app.I see that in the app settings there is something called reset app. If I click this will it remove my system from just the iPhone app, I dont want it removing my system from the iPad. Thanks

Last year my Sonos Play: 3 wiped all my self created playlists containing approximately 2000 songs. I hadn’t changed anything, done any updates or changed music streaming services. Customer support wasn’t any help so I mourned the loss of all my favourite music and decided to start again.  Now, I can’t even CREATE a playlist to add music to. (I can add pre-made playlists to my Sonos library) but when I try to create a new playlist manually I get a system message which says ‘Unable to create playlist. Please try again’ Can someone shed some light on this before I throw it out of the window and invest in another brand! 

Qobuz opened up in Sweden last week and I have an account. But Qobuz music service is not available in Sonos setup. Any thoughts?

Just signed up for Sonos Radio HD, but can’t for the life of me find the ‘Sleep’ stations with white/pink noise etc. Do they exist? I know they were mentioned in all the press releases when the HD subscription was launched in November, and a ‘Pink Noise’ channel image is shown at the bottom of the promo page.

My favorite feature of Spotify is that it autoplays a radio station after I finish listening to an album. Despite having autoplay enabled on Spotify, when playing to Sonos through Spotify Connect the autoplay just doesn’t work; the music stops after the album ends.Spotify says this is a Sonos problem, seems like Sonos says this is a Spotify problem. Any ideas how to get this bug worked out?

I needed to reset my Roam, but the controller is still showing the device as ‘offline’ despite it being removed from the system. Any thoughts? App all up to date.

When listening to tracks in Sonos (linked to Deezer) I have the option to Like (heart) or dislike ( restrict symbol). Now like songs are added to favourites but does anyone know where the dislike list is? 

Hi all. Am I correct in thinking I could buy a usb turntable then connect it to play through my MacBook and then output via Airplay to any or all of my Sonos speakers? Or am I missing something?Seems a better idea than a bluetooth turntable to my Move because the other speakers can't get involved. Roam sounded promising until I read that Sound Swap cannot swap a bluetooth source back to the other speakers that are on wifi.I realise that a port or sub or 5 or connect with line in would probably be better but just trying to work with what I already own after buying a turntable. My old vinyl wants out of the loft!!

I have had sonos for a few years now. I initially had a play 3 with a bridge (this worked fine). After the system upgrades a few years ago the bridge went, along with the play 3 (different reasons). I now have a move and a play 1 and no bridge. Almost every time i come to use it i have to restart the router to make it connect. Constantly i have “unable to connect fix it” message, using that link does nothing except make you reconnect everything, utterly useless. I use the speakers without cables, since this is by far the most convenient setup for me. But it simply doesnt work. My laptop, my tv, my phones, everything else works fine, never a problem. But the speakers just dont work properly. I try them separately, together, through spotify, through sonos app nothing. Only a router reboot does the job. This is hardly a seamless system. I have moved house 4 times with this system, each time have a new WiFi network from a different provider in a

How do people generally interact with Spotify and the Sonos App? I’m keen to use the Sonos app as I like the user interface but the biggest issue for me is that it doesn’t have an offline mode in the way Spotify does. So if I start to create all my playlist in the Sonos app using Spotify subscription, but then leave home and want to listen on headphones (without connection) I’d have to go back to Spotify direct which won’t have my saved playlist. This keeps me using Spotify and just using the connect feature to put music to my speakers, but I’d imagine Sonos want to address this. It would also be a reason I would be reluctant to buy any future Sonos headphones. How would you use it on a plane for instance?

So…..  With the new S1 & S2 controlers now discriminating devices i am no longer able to play the same music in all rooms in my house !!!!!The 4 play 5 speakers i have in the livingroom can now ONLY work with the S1 controler.And the bedrooms, Kitchen, Garage & Office only work on the S2 controler.So im either Forced to buy 4 new play 5 speakers to enable all music in all rooms.Or live with the fact that after years of excelent service …. Some bright spark at Sonos thinks this is an exceptable UPGRADE !!!!!!!I THINK IT SUCKS !!!!!

Dears I still have 3 x Play:1’s in my system which is controlled by the S2 software.Controlling these Play:1’s goes smoothly with the S2: I have a stereo pair which I can group with the eARC etc …The SONOS scan of my system tells me that these Play:1’s are not S2 compatible.Is there an issue that I’m not aware of ?Will there be an issue in the near future ? rgds Luc 

Usually when reading about frequency ranges the "treble range" is 2.5k-5k and the "brilliance range" is everything above 5k. Does this possibly mean also the Sonos treble EQ boosts/cuts only 2.5k-5k? Or does it affect everything above 2.5k all the way to the 20s? Is lowering treble a linear equalization? (all affected frequencies cut/boosted the same).  

It's not possible to select more than one room when setting up a alarm. You can select play on grouped rooms, but you are not always certain that the desired rooms is in the group. It would be so nice if you could select more rooms. Drop the radio buttons and make check boxes instead

Qobuz is now available in Australia as of today, Tues 13 April. I am unable to add it to my Sonos S1 environment as Qobuz does not appear in the music services list. When will this be remedied, please?
