Sonos keeps turning off on me with the message that says"You need to renew your Apple Music Subscription". This is just wrong because I've confirmed with Apple that my subscription is up to date and current.....Can't use Sonos to listen to my own library from Apple Music now....LDawydiak *Moderator Note: Please censor personal information when posting.*
Hi, I have 7 speakers : 2 Play:1 standalone, 1 Play:3, 1 One and 1 Beam + Play:1 surround. The Beam is wired and all others are on WiFi. I use a router Asus Rt-ac68u on which my hard drive with local library is plugged. Everything worked fine until about a month ago. Now speakers are often randomly disconnecting during seconds or minutes and coming back all of a sudden. That does it with both local library, Spotify or if I play music from my phone. When it disconnects I can still see the speaker in the app but no sound is coming out of it. It also does it on WiFi and on the Beam which is wired to the router. I tried forgetting my sound system and reset all speaker, no help. I tried resetting the router, no help. I tried unplug the Beam wire and use wi-fi instead, no help. I tried assigning fixed IP to all speakers, it's a bit better but still happening (though a bit less often). Do you have any idea how to solve this issue ?Thank for your help.
My 3 month old Sonos Move just got the Red-Blinking-Light on me out of nowhere. Literally was working fine the day prior.Charging Dock - nothing. Reset - nothing. Holding down reset button for 1-minute, nothing. The blinking light lasted for a few hours then now the device is completely bricked. Won’t charge via dock, high-voltage Macbook Pro USB-C, anything. Anyone know what to do? Other than submit a diagnostic.
It seems lately with the Sonos Radio, maybe when I got HD, many stations ar choppy and go in and out. I have fast interent speed so that's not the problem. ALl other music services work, except Sonos radio. Thoughts?
Hello, I have 2 sonos 5 speakers I run it a macbook as well as a app on an Iphone having a tough time reconnecting after updating my router and changing the PW. Both apps can't find the network and there are few if any options to get past this loop. It took forever to find a way out of this after updating to S2. Hoping for options to get out of this situation, thanks
Just installed two new amps connected to two pairs of Sonos architectural in ceiling speakers in kitchen and basement. When trying to detect the speakers through the S2 app, amp plays the tone through the speakers as expected but the app does not request mic access and then (not surprisingly) does not detect the speakers. Have tried on both an iPhone X and iPad Pro. Have one amp and speakers paired with an arc soundbar and trueplay tuning on S2 app on iPhone X works like a charm (and requests mic access as expected during the process). Any work arounds out there? If this is a known issue, any word on when we might see a fix? Thanks.
Hello,I awoke this morning to the system not being able to play any station from Sirius XM or any of my music on Amazon, from both the app and Windows. I have multiple speakers throughout the house and have never had a sustained issue for more than maybe 5-10 minutes. Reset my router, Wi-Fi hotspots (we have 3 Google). Any ideas?Thank you.
Running the latest app version (12.2.1) and iOS 14.2 on an iPhone X, Sonos app won’t connect to my 2 Sonos Ones. However my iPad running the Sonos app version 12.1.2 works perfectly fine. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling from my iPhone as well as resetting the router and unplugging the Sonos devices. Still getting the “Unable to connect to Sonos” error message on my phone app and unsure how to fix it. Any help is appreciated!
Hi!I have had this problem for a long time (12 months+, too much other stuff going on ;) ). It surfaced after switching internet provider. To narrow down the problem, I have only CAT-connected SONOS devices on my network now, one Connect and one Connect Amp. I focus on testing with Spotify-content streamed. I have shared my diagnostics just now, reference 619172540. Help is very much appreciated! Best,Haakon
I have two original Play 5s and a Bridge that are controlled by the S1 controller, and 4 Play 1s, a Play 5, and a Connect Amp that are controlled by the new app. I don’t know what happened but I open the new app and all my speakers are gone. Vanished. The new app keeps connecting to the old system and there’s no option to try to find the new equipment. It’s making me more and more frustrated. Is this due to an update, and what the heck do I do about it? If it’s due to a recent temporary power outage (wind storm last week) do I need to take a million steps to set the system back up every time we lose power? Do I need to go back to the 70s and order a Heathkit stereo system kit that I build myself and just use Sonos as paperweights?Clearly I’m frustrated and wish that the new app wouldn’t automatically connect to the old system, since I am well aware that it can’t control it.
If my modem reboots, I lose my place in my queues, even if Sonos is not currently playing. I’ve tried closing the app on my desktop when not in use, and still lose my place. Tonight I just paused my music, and lost my place. OS X Big Sur, Sonos Play 1 - 3 paired sets, 2 singles. Places are lost on singles, pairs, and playlists where multiple sets are connected.
Greetings,I’m running my Sonos controller on a Windows 10 PC, along with the Subsonic service.Everything was working fine for months. Then this evening Sonos said there was an “update” that I needed to install, so I did. Now Sonos won’t see my Subsonic music library. It seems this happens every time there is a Sonos update.I’ve restarted the Sonos controller service. I’ve restarted the Subsonic service. I went in and re-forwarded the Subsonic port. I also removed the Subsonic service from Sonos and re-added it. The only thing I haven’t done is reboot the machine, but I shouldn’t have to do that, should I??? Here are my current statistics.
Hi, I bought some Sonos one speakers on Friday. Downloaded the app and set everything up without a problem. Now the app has frozen. I have switched everything on and off to no avail. I have uninstalled the app also. I can play music from Spotify but not via the app. Any ideas welcome.
I tried to update my sonos to S2….should not have…I have a connect that I NEED to work with my older sound system.I see that my Playbar and my speakers have been update to s2…I have uninstalled sonos and installed s1 again but I have not acces to my controller at all to downgrade my parts… What can I do?
I’ve spent hours with customer service as well as endlessly resetting since the update and NOTHING works AT ALL. About ready to throw this whole system in the trash as not even live help can resolve the issues. The play bar WILL NOT show up even after it repeatedly says it’s been added and I go through the factory reset about 20 times at this point. It is obscene how difficult this has been and I’m infuriated by the lack of help and failure of Sonos to resolve my issue other than to blame a router or other third party for their products total failure.
My Move speaker is working and connected to the wifi network, BUT it has disappeared from the ios app. The playbar, sub and sonos one speaker shows in the app. When I go online to the Sonos website, login all speakers show up in system and all show up as online.I do have 2 bandwidths for wifi, 2.4ghz and a 5ghz. In the app it shows the 2.4g is in use and lists the 5g as other networks. If Move is connected to 5g and the other speakers connected to 2.4g would this cause the problem? How can I see and/or change the wifi the Move is connected too.I tried adding a product but it does not find the Move
My S1 bridge has stopped working and I am unable to view my Sonia components on my mobile app. How can I reconnect to it using my app without the bridge. I tried to do a wired connect to my Sonos play1 but that did not allow me to do anything. How do I reclaim my settings to edit. Do I have to buy a bridge again to reconnect? I am on the old models of my playbar, sub.
I am not able to play music from Tidal to Sonos. Neither from Sonos App or directly from Tidal app to Sonos.
I have a first edition (when it was released) Sonos move and the battery life is poor and now I have a battery fault error. I am a bit frustrated as I asked for help on Twitter and no answer when I first purchased. love the sounds. I have 5 Sonos products and I love them. But this needs help.

I have successfully updated to S2 version 12.0.1 by my iPhone. The problem is that i can't update the app on my MAC. When I start the app I get the information that I must update to S2 but when I push the update button nothing happen. I then found out that I am running 11.1 on the MAC and tried to upgrade to 11.2 first. But that does not work either. It downloads the upgrade but during “update the controller” I get an error “unexpected failure” How could I solve this? And another secondary question, I got the answer from the Swedish support contact that I could start a live chat with SONOS support, but I can't find how I start that?
The backlight on my Sonus-1xt has stopped working. Can it be fixed?
My music cuts out after one or two songs and when I press play again, it goes back to the beginning of the first song. Help! Very frustrating...
New Mac, with my user account on an external SSD. My husband has the same setup on his Mac, and does not have this problem playing from his library.Music will be playing, then stop. When I try to play the next song, there is a long pause, then a long string of “unable to play”. Sometimes this happens when I first start a playlist. Deleting and reloading the music library usually helps. Rebooting my Mac also fixes it - sometimes. This is happening at least every other day. Help?
We have a Play:5 and 3 Play:1s in our home system. Everything worked great for the first few years, but it seems like every time there’s an update, things get less reliable. Examples:System loses a speaker and it has to be added back. Seems to happen every few months. System can’t find the speaker when we’re trying to add it back. App isn’t able to control the volume, mute, or un-mute a specific speaker -- this is especially true for a particular one of the Play:1s when controlling from a Macbook Pro. Happens several times a month, sometimes several times a week. App isn’t able to add a speaker to or remove it from a group. Again, especially true for that particular Play:1. Happens several times a month, sometimes several times a week. System loses track of a favourite source (especially CBC Radio, especially on one particular user’s iPhone). Update fails because “something unexpected happened”. (I design software interfaces and this is … not what I would consider ideal interface desig
