If my modem reboots, I lose my place in my queues, even if Sonos is not currently playing. I’ve tried closing the app on my desktop when not in use, and still lose my place. Tonight I just paused my music, and lost my place. OS X Big Sur, Sonos Play 1 - 3 paired sets, 2 singles. Places are lost on singles, pairs, and playlists where multiple sets are connected.
Greetings,I’m running my Sonos controller on a Windows 10 PC, along with the Subsonic service.Everything was working fine for months. Then this evening Sonos said there was an “update” that I needed to install, so I did. Now Sonos won’t see my Subsonic music library. It seems this happens every time there is a Sonos update.I’ve restarted the Sonos controller service. I’ve restarted the Subsonic service. I went in and re-forwarded the Subsonic port. I also removed the Subsonic service from Sonos and re-added it. The only thing I haven’t done is reboot the machine, but I shouldn’t have to do that, should I??? Here are my current statistics.
Hi, I bought some Sonos one speakers on Friday. Downloaded the app and set everything up without a problem. Now the app has frozen. I have switched everything on and off to no avail. I have uninstalled the app also. I can play music from Spotify but not via the app. Any ideas welcome.
I tried to update my sonos to S2….should not have…I have a connect that I NEED to work with my older sound system.I see that my Playbar and my speakers have been update to s2…I have uninstalled sonos and installed s1 again but I have not acces to my controller at all to downgrade my parts… What can I do?
I’ve spent hours with customer service as well as endlessly resetting since the update and NOTHING works AT ALL. About ready to throw this whole system in the trash as not even live help can resolve the issues. The play bar WILL NOT show up even after it repeatedly says it’s been added and I go through the factory reset about 20 times at this point. It is obscene how difficult this has been and I’m infuriated by the lack of help and failure of Sonos to resolve my issue other than to blame a router or other third party for their products total failure.
My Move speaker is working and connected to the wifi network, BUT it has disappeared from the ios app. The playbar, sub and sonos one speaker shows in the app. When I go online to the Sonos website, login all speakers show up in system and all show up as online.I do have 2 bandwidths for wifi, 2.4ghz and a 5ghz. In the app it shows the 2.4g is in use and lists the 5g as other networks. If Move is connected to 5g and the other speakers connected to 2.4g would this cause the problem? How can I see and/or change the wifi the Move is connected too.I tried adding a product but it does not find the Move
My S1 bridge has stopped working and I am unable to view my Sonia components on my mobile app. How can I reconnect to it using my app without the bridge. I tried to do a wired connect to my Sonos play1 but that did not allow me to do anything. How do I reclaim my settings to edit. Do I have to buy a bridge again to reconnect? I am on the old models of my playbar, sub.
I am not able to play music from Tidal to Sonos. Neither from Sonos App or directly from Tidal app to Sonos.

I have successfully updated to S2 version 12.0.1 by my iPhone. The problem is that i can't update the app on my MAC. When I start the app I get the information that I must update to S2 but when I push the update button nothing happen. I then found out that I am running 11.1 on the MAC and tried to upgrade to 11.2 first. But that does not work either. It downloads the upgrade but during “update the controller” I get an error “unexpected failure” How could I solve this? And another secondary question, I got the answer from the Swedish support contact that I could start a live chat with SONOS support, but I can't find how I start that?
The backlight on my Sonus-1xt has stopped working. Can it be fixed?
My music cuts out after one or two songs and when I press play again, it goes back to the beginning of the first song. Help! Very frustrating...
New Mac, with my user account on an external SSD. My husband has the same setup on his Mac, and does not have this problem playing from his library.Music will be playing, then stop. When I try to play the next song, there is a long pause, then a long string of “unable to play”. Sometimes this happens when I first start a playlist. Deleting and reloading the music library usually helps. Rebooting my Mac also fixes it - sometimes. This is happening at least every other day. Help?
We have a Play:5 and 3 Play:1s in our home system. Everything worked great for the first few years, but it seems like every time there’s an update, things get less reliable. Examples:System loses a speaker and it has to be added back. Seems to happen every few months. System can’t find the speaker when we’re trying to add it back. App isn’t able to control the volume, mute, or un-mute a specific speaker -- this is especially true for a particular one of the Play:1s when controlling from a Macbook Pro. Happens several times a month, sometimes several times a week. App isn’t able to add a speaker to or remove it from a group. Again, especially true for that particular Play:1. Happens several times a month, sometimes several times a week. System loses track of a favourite source (especially CBC Radio, especially on one particular user’s iPhone). Update fails because “something unexpected happened”. (I design software interfaces and this is … not what I would consider ideal interface desig
Hi there. I have 2 Play 5’s set as a hi fi pair with a sub. Just recently one of the 5’s will no longer connect to wifi. It works fine via Ethernet but that’s not convenient. I have tried all the hard resets etc but nothing works. I have tried on both units and only one will not connect. my diagnostics number is 1404488130I understand Sonos is with drawling from NZ so would appreciate-some help before you with draw completely. it appears to have done this since the S2 app. I have tried reverting apps but no change. thanks bks jase
I recently renovated a building for my retail store and installed 3 sets of Sonance in-ceiling speakers. The contractor also installed a set of Polk Audio outdor speakers outside. I have 3 Sonos Amps and was planning to use one of them for the outside speakers, one for 1 set of in-ceiling speakers and the third for the other two sets of in-ceiling speakers. Unfortunately without my knowledge the electrician wired the outside speakers in series, i.e. He ran a speaker cable from where the Sonos Amp is to the first outside speaker and then connected the second outside speaker to the first instead of running a separate speaker cable back to the Sonos Amp. My question is whether I can deal with this without putting too much of a load on the Amp. I guess I could just connect the one cable to only the left or right channel terminals, but I was wondering if there was a way to use the full power of the amp by, for example, connectig the negative lead of the cable to the negative terminal of the
Hi,I have a Sonos Play:5 running on the old iOS S1 controller app and am constantly running in to playback issues from multiple sources. Basic symptom is that I go to the controller, select any source; Spotify, Radio stations and basically get the error message saying that it can’t playback the source. When this happens, I have on occasion checked for system upgrades and the failure to connect to source is always joined by the system being unable to check for updates. However, randomly, the system will ‘fix’ itself with no intervention whatsoever! Things I have ruled out:Local Internet connectivity is fine during the times where playback fails Wireless signal strength is high iPhone and Play:5 are connected to the same wireless network Play:5 and S1 controller app are both up to date iOS has recently been updated to 14.2 but this problem occurred on older iOS versions The system only has one Play:5 on - I have other Sonos speakers but I split the system and they’re all now on the S2 co
Today, I noticed that most of my pocket casts won't play strangely Sirius, soundcloud, mixcloud and library all work with no issues. I have about 12 podcasts, several sources and half of them throw the error 701. I did, today, get my outside DSL line replaced, but again it works fine for all my other services. Pocket Casts works fine from the app also. I also reinstalled the sonos app and deleted and re-added the service no change Diagnostic:. 1510266545
Just had a few hiccups with my Sonus system, possibly caused by updates to our BT whole house Wi-Fi system. I rang Sonus and had the pleasure of talking with Andreea T. their technical assistant who with great patience walked me through the problem and got my system up and Running.A big thank you Andreea T. for you help and thank you Sonus for a great system. Colin.
All of a sudden, Sonos stops playing any streaming service at all. It seems to work with local network music, and the tracks are browsable. But since changing nothing one day, it suddenly wont play radio stations, or streaming music sources. Looking in the log it says SCPlayContainerFactory(1): Play error = 701Has something been changed to make old devices not work any more?

Today, I added a playlist to the queue. The music items were in desired order in the playlist on the Sonos menu. When added to queue they are in random order.
As of about 9/26 Pocket Casts has stopped syncing with my Sonos. The Pocket Casts app works fine on my phone. I’ve removed the service and readded it and there was no change. I am able to see my Up Next list but it’s 5 days old now. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hello, I have 3 of the newer Amps purchased last year and using the latest S2 app on my Apple 10 iphone and the iOS is 14.1. Everything has been fine up until the last few S2 App / iOS updates. Some how my Sonos system will start playing music where I last turned it off randomly without any involvement from me and my phone is laying on the desk. Sometimes it’s 2 in morning and I haven’t had the system “on” for several days. This occurs with both Spotify and Pandora so I don’t believe the streaming services are causing it.Any suggestions? Thanks! David
