hi all!i just noticed that i can’t connect to my system via iphone app when the tv is off. anyone else have this issue? i have the arc, surrounds and sub. thx!
I have a Project turntable connected to line-in sonos port using Wifi. When playing to devices like Roam or Move there is no issue with sound. However, when playing to speakers connected to hardwired AMPs in other rooms (on the same network) no sound is heard even though app says playing. It has kicked in one or two times but for no reason I can find. Any help much appreciated ….
Hello all, I have at home one Sonos play:1, one sonos move and two ikea Symfonisk bookshelves.Since a few time (probably after a routeur firmware update) i was not able to connect the Symfonisk to my Wifi network (it works with LAN). Wifi works perfectly with Sonos:1 and move. The setup (even from factory reset) goes up to the end but the speaker is not shwn on the Sonos App and the connection by AirPlay does not succeed. My routeur is an Asus ZenWifi AX, and I can find other topics / issues with Asus routeur related to Airtime Fairess enable. This option is already disable on my routeur, so I have no other idea in order to have my Symfonisk back to my network. If someone has a great idea or face similar issue (and solve it), it will be great. Or if Sonos team has a look to this post my diagnostic reference is 957343697 Thank you to all.
Hi, my sonos randomly turned on and played what sounded like the Mac startup chime/sound three times last night until I unplugged it. A similar thing happened once before a few months back but that time it played out a really loud cracking / white noise type of (rather distressing) sound. Anyone knows what to do about this and why it happens? I’m not connected to a voice assistant.
Hi. I’ve been a long time Sonos+Apple TV user and recently threw a Hue Sync box into the mix. My original setup was:Apple TV HDMI out to Vizio TV HDMI 4K 60 In > Vizio TV Optical Out to Playbar Optical In. With this setup, I can control the Sonos volume using the Apple TV gen 1 and gen 2 remotes without issue. It even works with the Apple TV Software remote on iPhone and iPad.When I introduce the Hue Sync box, I lose the volume control, and the audio/video/lights work as expected. The only thing that doesn’t work is the volume function on the Apple TV remote. The current/new connection path is:Apple TV HDMI Out to Hue Sync Box input 4 > Hue Sync Box HDMI Out to Visio HDMI 4K 60 In > Vizio Optical Out to Playbar Optical in. Based another post with input from Hue Support, the recommended connection is just like I have it: Sources > Sync Box> TV > Receiver/Soundbar? (Arc bypass needs to be disabled) (Music mode always works) See this post for details: Has any one els
Hello,I have a Sonos Play 1 running S2 (13.1.1) and it is present on my Wifi network. I can stream to it via the Sonos controller for S2 installed on my portable PC and it works fine. What does not work is streaming from my iPhone SE running iOS 14.6 to the Play 1 and I don’t understand why not. When I run YouTube on the phone, I can see my Hegel H190 amplifier which is also AirPlay compatible (and I can stream to it) but I don’t see the Sonos loudspeaker. I don’t have any Sonos app. installed on the phone though but I don’t think this is necessary right? If you have trails I could explore to make this work, I would appreciate. Thanks a lot!Chris
Hello members, Suddenly since last night my Sonos volume has suddenly dropped. At max volume it's giving what it used to at 30%. I use a playbar and 2 Sonos one. Please help how to fix it. I also just checked that it works fine with my other music app but doesn't work with TV only anymore. I submitted diagnostic report under 607194927. kind RegardsAnkur
From time to time when I’m trying to play soundcloud playlists I get the error message "Unable to play ‘’ unable to connect to souncloud...".Sometimes Sonos start to play soudcloud song, but then (for example after 30 minutes) it stops and I get the error message "Unable to browse music". In the same time soundcloud plays from original software thru airplay to sonos without big issues (the only problem is not perfect music sync between speakers, but I understand that’s airplay issue). All other musical sources (TuneIn radio, for example) is working fine.Could you help please?
I recently switched to TMobile home internet service, so far so good, streaming TV, internet, home automation, etc.I am in an area that has one other option (XFinity) and their service on my street is crap.My 4 - Sonos Ones which have worked fine for years suddenly drop in an out. Mid-song they will just go silent and then start up a minute later on the next song. It happens often.I have looked at the 2.4 vs 5ghz issue, not sure if that is a thing. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Hi,We use Sonos in our complete house ( 6x Play 1, 1x bookshelf, 1 One SL, 1 Boost & 1 playbar) but scince a few months it is not working smoothly..Our sonos-players randomly disappear from the sonos-app and very often our music is not playing correctly: Songs end up being skipped by sonos very often (just after 10 seconds of playback) or the music stops at all. Or just one (or a few players) stops spontaneously. This issue occurs mostly when playing spotify but it also happens with tunin and/or NAS-playback.. The app says my network is unstable but i don’t know what is causing this instability. Some speakers are wired and some are wireless. Of course the boost is wired. We have some Ubiquity access-points and maybe they are causing issues?Ended up doing a lot of attempts to solve this but nothing seems to work..I have tried setting sonos on other channels occasionally, i have reset all our players more then once, i have powered off our router etc but the problems keep on surfacin
Hi,I’ve seen various others with the same problem, when playing music with spotify I often get an error message half way through a track saying the “connection to spotify was lost” and it skips to the next track. My sonos devices are on a wifi connection, speed and everyone else on the connection looks good - can you tell me how to fix please?
Hello everyone.I have a very modest Sonos setup consisting of 2 Symfonisk table lamp speakers, which I am very satisfied with. If it matters, one is almost 2 years old, whilst the other is only a couple months old. However, as of late, I have been having some trouble, with the speakers simply vanishing from the App, Spotify connect and AirPlay (they show on the list of available devices, but the iPhone or iPad can’t connect to them). This issue became much more pronounced since the last firmware update. My home network setup consists of of a TP Link Deco M4 mesh system, working in access point mode, with my ISP supplied router handling the DHCP (can’t do it another way or I would lose the TV service). Two of the Deco mesh system nodes are plugged in by Ethernet to the ISP router, whilst the last is connected by Wi-Fi to the other 2. Both Sonos are connected wirelessly to the Deco nodes. Steps I’ve tried:Have one of the speakers (bedroom speaker) plugged in by Ethernet to one of the Mesh
WiFi seems to have stopped working on my playbase. I plugged in LAN cable and working now. I just submitted diagnosis report. Can you tell from that what is going on?
Hi,I have 3 by Wi-Fi discs and 8 Sonos SL. they were working fine but know we experience intermittent cutting out of songs when playing Spotify. Our internet has no issues, it is just the Sonos system although some speakers always work with no interruptions. I have tried resetting th system and it work for a few hours but then reverts back to this state of playing, then having no sound, then skipping to a new song on the playlist. any thoughts?
Recent updates to the apps seem to have introduced some problems. Namely, the app on iOS and MacOS do not sync with the Sonos system as well. Delays, hiccups -- and finally it connects. For example, stopping a playing stream. I should be able to do this quickly on my WLAN/LAN without any problem (hasn’t been a problem until recently). If I play a stream from my iOS app, I should be able to stop it from my MacOS app and vise-versa, without these issues.Anyone else experiencing this?
So my move is no longer connecting to WiFi nor will it go into Bluetooth mode (no blue light). Ran set up a few times but says Move added but not to wifi, please continue in setting tab, of course there its only shows not connected to wifi. The only change recently was a ComCast upgraded router to gigabit speed. I have rebooted that several times. No Joy. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Guys,I’m having an issue with one area in my house so resetting my system. I’ve read I could hardwire one speaker, which will create the SonosNet (WM:0), then connect the other speakers to the SonosNet instead of wifi. Issue is, when I set up the remaining speakers (after a factory reset), they come up as WM:1), only the wired Play:1 shows WM:0.Am I missing something? I presume the SonosNet is therefore not working? Thanks for any help! 🍻
So I recently upgraded to a Mac Mini M1 with Big Sur and have been using a Sonos One speaker connected via AirPlay. I’ve been reading about many variations of audio syncing issues on various forums, and thought I would share my specific issue & what I’ve found to be an actual working solution. My issue was that after my Mac went to sleep (either after me putting in sleep mode or walking away from the computer for a time) it would begin to get out of sync, particularly via Safari videos. The only way I could resolve the issue was a restart of the Mac.Simply enough I disabled sleep mode & sync issues magically disappeared for me... although it sucks as I would prefer to leave my Mac to go into sleep mode, but for the sake of keeping in sync this is the only way I can get it working for me.
Had my Sonos Move a few weeks now & been loving it, perfect for what I wanted it for, however the last 2 days the sound quality has gone to a level of my old car stereo in my first Vauxhall Nova back in the day!! (And that was poor!) It sounds like it has something over the front of it….not muffled but the sound is far away rather then clear and ‘right next to you’…..sorry for the poor description, it’s quite hard to explain. It could be that I’ve pressed something without realising, at least I hope so after the cost of the speaker! Anyone had this & able to help? TIA
Hi, We are having problems with Spotify play via our Sonos App. The Sonos App plays all streamed music on the Sonos side, but as soon as i start Spotify and start a song via Spotify, it plays for a few seconds and then stops. the error message - Unable to play ‘Lost’ - the connection to Spotify was lost. Any advice is welcome!Cheers,Sanjay
I cannot get onto S1 App due to constant ‘Use Sonos S2 app’ message covering the whole screen. I’ve changed in profile for only email notifications but this is stopping me using my system at all. HELP. So annoyed with it all after spending so much money!
I have a Project turntable connected to a Port. There is the annoying buzz consistently referenced here indicating the need for a grounding. The Port does not have a ground offered. What can be done for this? It really seems like a common issue and should be addressed in the literature so we don’t have to hunt the web for possible solutions.
After many repeated attempts I have been unable to join 2 Move speakers as a stereo pair on WiFi. I follow the instructions but at the last step( as the speakers play the tone) one speaker cuts out completely. has anyone else experienced this, of have a solution?
yesterday they stole my sonos move, being registered in my name in my system, but to use it they have to reset and log in again and create a sonos account, can the cashier be blocked and rendered unusable? can it be located via the police? and also recover ?… Any similar experience?
Hello my Sonos amp one of two was working fine for years. Till it stopped the other day. All the lights are on. I’ve checked all the wires. Did a reset to amp. Plugged the wires into the amp that does the ext speakers and the speakers all worked fine. So I’m missing something with the amp or it’s fried. Here’s the diagnostic number 242145167
