Hello all,

I have at home one Sonos play:1, one sonos move and two ikea Symfonisk bookshelves.

Since a few time (probably after a routeur firmware update) i was not able to connect the Symfonisk to my Wifi network (it works with LAN). Wifi works perfectly with Sonos:1 and move.

The setup (even from factory reset) goes up to the end but the speaker is not shwn on the Sonos App and the connection by AirPlay does not succeed.

My routeur is an Asus ZenWifi AX, and I can find other topics / issues with Asus routeur related to Airtime Fairess enable. This option is already disable on my routeur, so I have no other idea in order to have my Symfonisk back to my network.

If someone has a great idea or face similar issue (and solve it), it will be great.

Or if Sonos team has a look to this post my diagnostic reference is 957343697

Thank you to all.

Have you tried disabling the Quality of Service (QoS) feature on your router? Read more here:

Hello @GuitarSuperstar ,

Unfortunately QoS is also disable (this is the feault settings and I have double checked it) and it did not work.

Wired thing is that some Sonos works (One and move) and some other no (Symfonisk )….

Have you tried rebooting your router and phone? Can you wire any speaker directly to the router with an ethernet cable?

@GuitarSuperstar

In fact I try many things since more than 1 month. I already tried updating my routeur firmware, try with different phones, even try with the Sonos Windows app.

I also succeeded in connecting my Symfonisk on the LAN and it works fine. But switching from LAN to WiFi still does not work.

So now, I have no more ideas…..

If you can’t keep the SYMFONISK speaker wired to the router permanently, you may consider getting a Sonos Boost.

Hi @papag3n0

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Although it’s not a match for the model, we are aware of Asus RT series routers needing to be factory reset after updating their firmware. If you have not done this, I think it’s worth trying. Please reboot the speakers afterwards.

If this doesn’t help, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team, who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and network.

Hello @Corry P

In fact I have seen things like that for Asus router but I was trying to avoid doing it as some of my speakers were working and other no.

But without any way to make it works, I have decided to perform this famous factory hard reset and then reconfigure my Asus AX network and …… it is fully working now !

So this solution seems to be the only one when you are facing issues with Asus router. I just hope that Asus will improve this firmware update as it is causing lot of issues.

Thank you by the way to have forced me to do this extreme operation :yum:

Hi @papag3n0

Glad to hear it helped!
