Hi Sonos, I recently purchased the Arc & Sub. I have connected it to my Sony TV KD-85X9000H. The sound will randomly turn off for 10-15 seconds.I have tried unplugging the TV, Arc & Sub. I’ve checked the HDMI cord (the one supplied with the arc). I’ve even hoped it would just go away - if anything if feels like it is getting worse or just irritating me more. It doesn't matter if I’m watch TV or Netflix etcObviously very keen to get this fixed as soon as possible.Any suggestions?
All radio stations working using TuneIn, except WDNA It keeps repeating the ‘splash’ message, with sporadic cuts in the sound. All other stations (I have about 40) work as expected. Logging in to wdna.org on the web works fine, it’s only on Sonos for this one station.
I have two (2) Sonos One speakers paired with Beam. For quite a while these have acted as surrounds for my Beam, however today I noticed my right speaker was blinking a white led. I tried to identify this but all I can find for blinking white is the unit is rebooting. I hard reset the One speaker and returned it to factory. Once blinking green I can add the speaker to my room. This works fine, and I can play music on the speaker just fine. Now the issue comes when I tell the Sonos app to add the two Sonos One speakers as surrounds. The app plays music on the left speaker, I select that speaker in the graphic on the app and say continue. I wait a little bit and the join as surrounds fails and the left speaker is now flashing with a white led. It appears this speaker gets stuck in a reboot loop at this point. I’ve been through this process about five times. And nothing seems to matter, as soon as I add the speaker as a surround it fails the add and starts back in to the reboot loop. Fl
I have a sonos play 5 connected to my Technics 1200 turntable with a pre amp in between. It works perfectly. Unfortunately, when I group it with other speakers so I can listen elsewhere in the house it will ungroup when the current record is done playing and every time I change records I have to group it again. How can I keep the grouping persistent even with gaps in the sound?
Have the following Sonos equip:playbarsubpair of surrounds Issue: when router reboots, the playbar is no longer visible in the system. Attempts to resolve via the app are unsuccessful. However, if I plug an ethernet cable directly into the router, at least sometimes I can get the playbar to be visible again, but the sub and surrounds can’t be added to the room the playbar is associated. Have had this problem almost since day 1, and am getting pretty frustrated with this equipment. Have contacted support several times, and they were unable to resolve.Have other wireless devices on my network (TV, smartphone, laptop, DVD, etc.) and they all work fine after router reboot, so don’t a router problem. Have tried setting the router to another channel, and no luck.Any advice?

Hi all,I have quite a frustrating problem. My Sonos system drops sound for a few seconds randomly. This used to appear to be on the radio in our kitchen amp mainly. If I had the radio grouped with the garden it was only the kitchen amp that dropped and the garden continued so this is not an issue of the radio station timing out. I found that this was an amp working wirelessly, so I wired the connection to my network switch and reconfigured. The issue now seems to happen in more rooms than before. It is getting more frustrating and is even doing it on streaming services aswell.I’m basically asking whether it is better for my system to be wired with the amps individually connected via my network switch or with a direct feed from my router and each Sonos product daisy chained on from there. Also are there any router ports that could be opened to help? All of my amps are currently in my loft space with speaker cables run through my house to each room.My Sonos/network description is below to
Hello all, I have my Arc paired with two subs and two Fives for surrounds. Earlier all the sudden, the Fives and Subs disspared from the System > Products menu, usually it says TV (+Subs x 2, LS+RS). I tried disccconet all of the speakers for 30 sec and also reseting my router. Strange thing is I still see the products on “About My System”, just not in products. And they still all works, but now I do not have true tone anymore and I can not adjust the EQ settings of my subs and Fives anymore. I have not tried factory ressting my speakers. Below is my network matrix and Info, any help is welcomed. Thanks!
We just cooked up a new video that details how to fix common issues with Sonos. We’ve installed 1000+ systems and this video goes over problems we see when we haven’t originally installed the set-up.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKC93O1YRLQWe made a video previously but that was more for jobs where we installed the network and optimized the system settings. This may be more helpful for the public. Thanks,ATD
Hi All, I’ve 4 products (Beam, Bass & 2x One SL’s) which were working fine until recently where my Asus RT-AC88U crashed and needed to restore. After restore I’ve not been able to restore the system and had to perform factory reset to both One SL.I’ve gone thru the community link for ASUS router setting and have done the needed settings in wireless to prevent the disconnection issue. Disable Airtime Fairness Enable IGMP snoopingNow, if the products are connected via ethernet cable - they should up fine on my S2 App. However the min they are removed, they disappear shortly after with a message - unable to connect to Sonos. On top of that the S2 app on my iPhone OS 14.01 keeps crashing. It will not launch despite quitting the application and restarting. This is driving me insane as nothing has changed except router was recently restored and both SL also restored and re-paired via ethernet and subsequently removed and allowed to connect wirelessly. The next time I attempt to open the S2 a
I have a Sonos 5 (wired) , Move and ZP90 (wired). All devices and apps are updated. I get dropouts listening to Amazon whether on any of the devices. When I do, the list starts over. I do NOT have issues playing Amazon HD or otherwise from any other device. I submitted diagnostics a few mins after the most recent occurrence. Reference ID: 1049189223
I have a very odd issue with the behavior of a couple of Sonos one’s and a couple of Play:1 devices. When I look at the DHCP lease of the devices, I do not see their Mac address listed but rather the Mac address of the device that set them up last. This is causing a number of problems because I need to add a reservation but it fails because there is a different lease with the correct mac address but for another IP address that is not the one that shows up when I look at the devices connected to my wireless. Has anyone seen this behavior?
I was given instructions yesterday on how to do a wireless setup since my bridge stopped working. I followed the prompts on the app but when I entered the password for Netgear 53 it said it was not correct. I know this is the correct password so I tried again. The 3rd time I decided to change my Netgear password but it is still saying incorrect password. Do I need to call Sonos? I did yesterday and the rep was not knowledgeable at all. Is there a trick to getting through to someone who can really help me? They had great customer service when they were a new company. Thank you.
Hi, I have a consistent issue when steaming music from Spotify to my Sonos play1 speakers. I set music to play and after a little while Spotify disconnects from the speaker so I can no longer pause the music or skip songs. The music continues play but I just can’t control it as Spotify reverts to listening on ‘This phone’. I can usually reselect the speaker as the device and it will pick up the song that is playing and allow me to control it again. This is very frustrating, has anyone experienced the same issue and able to suggest a suitable resolution?
Rear surrounds keep cutting out when watching tv
So I have a Connect and a Play1. I got help from support yesterday upgrading my Play1 to an S2 and my connect and Play1 were working too. Today the Connect wont work with the S1 application. I did a hard reset and tried to install it as a new system. It works well until I need to join the SONOS network. At that point my iphone does join the SONOS network, but the app thinks it has not done it, so it says plug in an ethernet cable. I do this but then the app says my device needs S2!! This is bogus since it it a Connect and the Connect only supports S1. So I am stuck.Sonos support is closed for 3 days until Tuesday and I am stuck with dead system. Any helpwould be welcome. I am sure others must have been down this road before
Due to limited space on laptop, my music library is on a desktop that is always on (but not always plugged into a monitor). I have a SONOS One (original no Alexa)I’m finding that playing songs from my library is really hit and miss. Some days it will play ok, then others it says it can’t find my music library. Even if I plug my DT into a monitor, it says it can’t find the music library and refuses to play. If I decide to play from Amazon music, it plays OK.I’ve even tried to play from OneDrive, but SONOS doesn’t really like it.I’ve just done an update and it’s now decided it doesn’t want to play again and I’m getting really frustrated with this system that I’m thinking of getting rid and getting a speaker so I can play directly from iTunes.Does anybody have any ideas what I can do, before this speaker gets thrown out of the window! TIA
I noticed that my 2 plat ones in the bedroom were flashing last night at about 3.30am (mosquito kept me up). This morning my surround setup of beam + 2 one SLs isn’t working. The beam is connected to the TV via HDMI and is OK, but the surrounds cannot even be seen by the app (Android & up to date). I have rebooted and reset everything - the app finds the surrounds with support>find missing products and adds them as a stereo pair, but when I try and add them as surround I get an error. What can I do? Everything was fine yesterday - there were no power outages and my network & WiFi all work fine with various devices.
Hi Guys,Long time Sonos user with little issues.I have an issue which is seeing one room constantly disappearing from the controller, and can only come back via a factory reset and reconnect. I’ve swapped the speakers from other rooms, and the speakers are fine, the issue is no matter which speaker goes in that room, it drops off.I was running via wifi, then disabled it and put a hard wire into the speaker. Same issue occurs.Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks, Tim
This is not a new problem for me. I’ve been trying to rectify for over a year. When I use the playbar through an optical audio cable from my TV, it sounds rich and full. This is the case for all sources (antenna channels, streaming, and DVD/Blueray). However, when I stream music through the Sonos app, the sound is thin and gutless. This is the case from all sources too (Apple Music, Sonos Radio, and even Tidal “master” level high fidelity).I am beyond disappointed at this point. I want so badly to love this speaker but it has been a giant letdown. Does anyone have any new ideas since I last posted this problem a year ago? Thanks!
Hi all, after extensive reading in the board I learned a lot but still couldn’t solve my problem. After more than a month trying I failed very frustrating. my set up: Fibre, apple time capsule (optional), Beam, One, 2x play:1, Apple TV i moved to a new home and only the built-in 5Ghz wifi of the router yields the right internet speed. So I am ok to cut out my ATC. i connected the One to the 5Ghz nut the beam does not want to move over. Even when plugging in via Ethernet, which I only can run temporary as the router sits in a storage room. my questions:Is it possible to use the Beam as hub for the 2x play:1 which are intended to sit in a different room though? How to set up Beam correctly? would a Sonos Boost solve my 5Ghz problem? thank you in advance,Hannes
I’m like this close to returning all four speakers. I have had these speakers connected for 24 hours and nothing will play from iHeart Radio, Amazon Music, and Plex*. I had one song play from Plex. Now I’m stuck in a never-ending authorization loop for Plex. I have discovered that turning my home mains electric off is much more efficient, but I have to ask why can’t the software restart stuck processes? Very disappointing, Sonos.
I upgraded my system to S2 App and Amp to the latest version The Sub is connected to Amp and remains connected but I get NO sound at all from the AMP and then the Sub Drops out (?) NO idea why Worked fine before I upgraded to the S2 App
