Own LG 65SJ850A 65” UHD TV, Beam and Play 1 surrounds and never could get ARC connection to Beam to work and used optical, until now. Thought I’d share.LG HDMI bus is challenged by CEC devices attached to HDMI (Beam, Apple TV, HDMI switch, Sony Blu ray, etc). You need to turn off CEC (power-on) on for each device AND on the LG in a well hidden menu. If a device is attached with CEC enabled on any other HDMI port, HDMI2/ARC will fail and disable the Beam. Maybe later LG models have a better CEC implementation. On the LG TV there are 3 volume indicators on the right of the screen when volume up/down on remote is pressed. If you get a numeric display with numbers, that is the LG internal speaker indicator. If you get a smaller +/- arrow display that is the HDMI2/ARC output, if you get grey circle with a slash, the TV speakers and ARC are dead but optical maybe enabled. Your goal is the +/- arrow volume indicator. For the LG, there is a difference between configuring audio in the All Setti
When trying to select my playlists on the LivePhish app on Sonos, it says unable to browse music. This is happening on just the playlists as all other parts of the app are working fine. And also when I go to the actual LivePhish app, the playlists work fine there. Any help?

This is a known Google Assistant issue that I’ve brought up with Sonos. If you ask a Sonos voice device to turn off lights. Sonos’s Google Assistant will repeat the command “Turning Kitchen Lights off”. On google home devices, they will play a pleasant chime. My wife can’t stand Sonos confirming every command. They need to make the implementation of voice the same as it is on google devices. Not sure if google intentionally limits these basic features for Sonos.
Hello i have sonos arc + sub gen 3 + 2 one sl, the tv is Sony 48A9. I use the original hdmi cable from sonos. The setting on tv audio output hdmi earc - auto, audio passthrough auto. I’m fairly green with technology, I have a very simple setup with Sonos, a Beam sound bar (HDMI to the tv) and a Sonos one, both can be connected together using the Sonos 2 app on my phone. I have decided to add a turntable and CD player to play through my Sonos system and was advised to get a Sonos Port, also advised to get a switch box so both the CD player and turntable could be connected at the same time with only one output to the Port. My issue is that the Port wouldn’t connect to the current Beam/One network and instead created its own network, now when I play a CD and connect everything together I hear no sound (both CD player and Turntable) Any ideas??
it looks like there is a priority or a hand off issue between Sonos and IOS and when I try playing spotify in IOS when Sonos has been playing first from within the sonos app spotify does not get handed off to ios.I have brought this up to the spotify community and they mention bringing up the issue with you all as well.Spotify community link
I have my Sonos Move connected to my home network but I would like to connect it to the wifi that i have set up in my Travel trailer. I can use Bluetooth but the range is much better using the wifi. Does the move recognize two wifi networks or does it have to be re set up every time it moves networks?
I bought a couple of SONOS ONE to connect them to my beam so i get a surround system. I have connect them all toghether, however, by speakers SONOS ONE´s micro does not turn on in anyway, meaning that the only micro ON is the one from my BEAM. Because of this, i do not know whether my SONOS One´s micro works, i do not know if Alexa works on them etc…I starting asking to myself that may be, if Beam is already using Alexe, maybe this blocks the Sonos Ones micro ?? I have tried to reset the speaker, uninstall the sonos skill in alexa…can you please help ? i am going crazy with this issue.
My Living room system does not always show up on my app. Only the Family room. My Diag. # is 83266082.
I just purchased the beam. On four different occasions during normal use it has produced a loud, near deafening sound that does not stop until the power is cut. It is sure to have/or soon will damage the speaker.Anybody had this problem? Solution? Also, the beam frequently does not produce audio and I have to exit a netflix show three or four times (and re-enter) to get the audio to start working. Audio also disappears sometimes when I pause a show for a bit and unpause it…..
A year has passed since I originally posted this question:Recently, I tried editing My Sonos to remove the Tidal Playlists section. My plan was to re-add then check if the above issue had been fixed. However, I find no way to do this. “Edit My Sonos” has options to rearrange and delete “Long press to rearrange the content. Tap the delete icon to remove”. How to add my Tidal Playlists section back into My Sonos?
Hi,I've recently come across this issue where Spotify doesn't crossfade into the next song, I checked settings in the Sonos app and crossfade button doesn't do anything. I also checked the Spotify app settings and the crossfade is greyed out. But when I go through the Spotify app to change to play from 'current device' the crossfade in the Spotify app does work but greys out again when I want to play music from the Sonos speakers. I have checked for updates on both apps Does anyone know a work around?Thank you
Hi all, this is a duplicate of my previous post which got closed before I could resolve the issue. I’ve also added steps I have taken since that post.—————————Hi everyone, I was hoping to see if anyone had run into the same issue as me on my Roam, and if so if they were able to resolve the issue. The first time I start a playing session with Spotify Connect, the song I choose to play starts playing about half-way through. However, the progress bar in the Spotify app starts from the start of the song - so there is a disconnect between the actual audio of the song and what is shown in the app.If I manually drag the progress back to the start, the audio and the progress bar sync perfectly to the start of the song.A couple of other observations:This only happens with the first song played after connecting to the Roam with Spotify Connect within the Spotify app This only happens with Spotify connect. The Sonos app, Airplay etc all work as expected. About 1/10 times the Spotify Connect doesn’
The lift lever doesn’t make contact with the tonearm tube so it basically isn’t functioning - any ideas? is there an adjustment that is needed? I just received the turntable today so it is new.
I have four speakers, three are The One (Gen 1) and one is The One (Gen 2). All three Gen 1’s stopped working completely where the Gen 2 works just fine. The Gen 1’s powers on, they just will not connect to WIFI. If I connect it via cat5, it works perfectly. But in the same location it’s been working, nada. When I try to connect my iPhone or iPad to update the network settings, it doesn’t work either. Says I cannot connect to the SONOS network. But the Gen 2 still works. If I try to reconnect or add a new device, the Gen 1’s don’t work either. Any help would be incredible. Thank you.
As I impatiently await an update about why Apple Music can no longer be used as a service on Android devices, why does Sonos radio skip? Anyone else noticed this? When I listen to Sonos Hits radio for example, every song will skip for about 1-2 seconds cutting out the song. It skips at exactly the same bit each time to the point that you get to know each individual songs ''bit to skip" and you begin to expect it when listening to the song out with Sonos radio. It's not random skips which makes me think it's not my Wi-Fi. Can't use Apple to listen to their non skipping radio stations and now this.......quality products??
Hi all:I have a Vizio TV (model name: D65-F1; version: 2.70.33-1) and a Sonos Arc. The only other device in my ecosystem is my Comcast cable box.Sometimes the audio cuts out, sometimes the picture cuts out, sometimes both cut out at the same time. Sometimes when these issues are occurring, the TV remote is unresponsive.I’ve had the Arc for a year and didn’t have an issue until the last few weeks. I’m not sure what could have changed.I have tried running just the TV and Sonos together (while streaming Netflix or Amazon Prime) and have no issues. I have tried just the TV and the cable box together and have no issues. But put the three together and problems ensue. I have tried a CEC-less adapter at each end of the HDMI cable running between the cable box and the TV, and I’ve tried simultaneously having such an adapter at each end. I’ve toggled on the TV menu under the CEC option between “Enabled” and “Arc Only,” also to no avail.I have also done factory resets on the TV and the Sonos (whic
So, I have two Sonos Play:1s and 1one gen2. They are synced to provide music (via Tune-in radio) throughout the house but I find they frequently drop out and I have to restart the app. This also some=times happens if I am streaming spotify (premium) Wifi is working and available because I can see the signal and access internet. There are no other significant bandwidth drains one the network at the time (e.g. no TV or other video streaming). Anyone got any ideas please as it is annoying. Thanks
I set up an alarm to play music from Spotify, but randomly some times, it plays a chime instead of music. I submitted a diagnostic, is that’s helpful. 340867373
I’ve had a Sonos Beam / Sonos One(x2) system for about 3 years. Everything has been fine until recently when every 15 minutes or so a high frequency noise will emit from the left rear speaker for about 5 seconds. It is very irritating. I have unplugged it and plugged it back in with no improvement. Someone posted an identical issue 4 years ago (now closed) with no resolution. Per responses to that, I do not have an extension cord with an on/off switch, but did swap it out anyway. I am in Spain, so it’s 220v. Should I do a total reset of the speaker?DISREGARD. I UNPLUGGED THE SPEAKER AND I NOW THINK IT IS COMING FROM MY COMPUTER.
I was finally able to get my S1 speakers working on the S1 app while also being able to use the S2 app with newer equipment. Problem is they are not in sync- maybe 3 seconds apart. I have tried closing and restarting both apps and have tried different music services. Any advice?

Hi, I recently replaced my router with a new one and hence new network. I now cannot access any key Sonos settings – Account, System, Services & Voice are all greyed out. This means naturally that I cannot connect to my Beam.Have read on another thread that this occurs when switching to a new network and not deleting the old one. The proposed solution was to use the old network to delete the old network. However, this is not an option available to me as the previous network has been shut by the operator. What can I do?
Trying to troubleshoot setup for BBC Sounds, trying to access through the Sonos app as it can not airplay directly from the BBC sounds appI have checked that my country is set to UK, am up to date on iOS settings, using Sonos 2 and believe I should be able to find the BBC sounds app. Playbar was configured initially in Australia, but have moved back to the UK, and Playbar now set up here. The ‘Add Music Services’ option is still displaying apps, stations etc from Australia Is there anything I am missing?
