I set up an alarm to play music from Spotify, but randomly some times, it plays a chime instead of music. I submitted a diagnostic, is that’s helpful. 340867373
I’ve had a Sonos Beam / Sonos One(x2) system for about 3 years. Everything has been fine until recently when every 15 minutes or so a high frequency noise will emit from the left rear speaker for about 5 seconds. It is very irritating. I have unplugged it and plugged it back in with no improvement. Someone posted an identical issue 4 years ago (now closed) with no resolution. Per responses to that, I do not have an extension cord with an on/off switch, but did swap it out anyway. I am in Spain, so it’s 220v. Should I do a total reset of the speaker?DISREGARD. I UNPLUGGED THE SPEAKER AND I NOW THINK IT IS COMING FROM MY COMPUTER.
I was finally able to get my S1 speakers working on the S1 app while also being able to use the S2 app with newer equipment. Problem is they are not in sync- maybe 3 seconds apart. I have tried closing and restarting both apps and have tried different music services. Any advice?

Hi, I recently replaced my router with a new one and hence new network. I now cannot access any key Sonos settings – Account, System, Services & Voice are all greyed out. This means naturally that I cannot connect to my Beam.Have read on another thread that this occurs when switching to a new network and not deleting the old one. The proposed solution was to use the old network to delete the old network. However, this is not an option available to me as the previous network has been shut by the operator. What can I do?
Trying to troubleshoot setup for BBC Sounds, trying to access through the Sonos app as it can not airplay directly from the BBC sounds appI have checked that my country is set to UK, am up to date on iOS settings, using Sonos 2 and believe I should be able to find the BBC sounds app. Playbar was configured initially in Australia, but have moved back to the UK, and Playbar now set up here. The ‘Add Music Services’ option is still displaying apps, stations etc from Australia Is there anything I am missing?
Hellou! I just bought Beam Gen2 and One SL, I have old Ikea symfonisk speaker. I love the sound of them but I cant pair them use surround voice. Two compatible Sonos speakers are required to add a surround speaker. Make sure the products are turned on and connected to a WiFi network.I have tried reboot all speakers, installed them many time, rebootted router and used ethernet cable to Beam. Nothing has helped,so far.My router is ZTE MC801A.Here is diagnostic number: 74666999.Forgive me for my bad English :)Greetings from cold Finland!-Henri
I'm having issues with choppy TV audio, it drops out for a split second every few seconds. Sometimes it's the playbar dropping, sometimes the One SL surrounds. Playbar is wired and surrounds and sub are wireless. Diagnostic ID is 485431841. I've tried removing the speakers and re-adding, rebooting router etc, but it's not helped. Generally happens with Netflix, but also happens with Amazon, Apple TV etc. TV is LG C9 if that matters.
Can someone please confirm what Roku models actually support Atmos, including support for the commonly used services as well? (Netflix, HBO Max, etc.) Please respond based on your own personal experience. I’ve already reviewed Roku’s website and literature and it’s not clearly obvious. I’m trying to decide if I need to change streaming platforms as I have an Arc arriving soon and I’ll be picking up an Arcana device as my TV doesn’t support earc or DD+. (2015 Sony) Thank you.
Hi. My Sonos app started acting wonky yesterday and continues today. I selected a music channel from my favs using Pandora and even though the music plays the correct station the information screen is "stuck" displaying the wrong music. I tried switching the channel using Amazon music but same result...still showing different music. Ideas? Uninstall and reinstall? Thanks.
Hi everyone, Got a Asus RT-AX82U router and after upgrading firmware to Version 3.0.0.4.386.45934, my Sonos stopped working and there was no chance to re-connect the Sonos and or the speakers.the only solution is to downgrade the firmware back to Version 3.0.0.4.386.45898.The system re-connected and my Sonos works excellent again. Please check Asus website and download downgrade/router rescue app from Asus to be able to downgrade.Goodluck.
Ever since I installed and upgraded my system to S2, my NAS has been spinning non-stop, taking all ressources with it. When I’m able to see what’s connected, I see dozens of SMB connections with the user I setup for my Sonos system.I am unable to pinpoint what is going on, and the S2 app doesn’t tell me either.Only after rebooting the NAS (which takes a long time, since it’s really busy), then removing my Shared drive config in Sonos does the heavy spinning stops. When I configure the shared drive again, it takes a while, then the spinning restarts. My NAS is a Synology DS218i
Hello - I am having an issue with my Sonos amp where autoplay doesn’t kick in with my turntable. The autoplay of hdmi is working wonderfully, however, it’s going the other way to line in that is having trouble. I viewed this thread and understand that hdmi will always win: Here is my setup:-an spdif switch plugged in to the the hdmi of the amp using the Sonos spdif to hdmi dongle. The spdif switch has an on/off switch. -phono preamp with on/off switch. Steps to recreate:-turn off spdif switch. -turn on phono preamp -start record. in the use case above the autoplay does not start. I am forced to go into my Sonos amp and through a series of clicks start the line in. The only thing I can think of is that even when off the spdif switch is still sending some sort of a signal. Would love to get some input on this perplexing issue. thanks in advance.
I have a system with 6 Sonos Ones operating around my house, running over a Netgear Orbi mesh network. Recently one of the speakers stopped working, and dropped off the network completely. Both lights on the top of the missing speaker are lit white indicating that it is on the network but it doesn’t show up in the sonos app or on the Orbi app as connected. I suspected an issue with the mesh network and worked through all of those issues to no avail. I have searched through all of the forum postings and not found a solution that works to bring it back. At this point I suspect a hardware problem. Diagnostic #: 1837407629
I have the following situation/problem: My SONOS setup: I have a few SONOS devices (4 IKEA Symfonisk Bookshelf speaker, one Five, one One SL and one Roam). My problems are with the devices that can connect to the 5GHz WiFi frequency. My WiFi setup: I have a big house, in order to have WiFi everywhere I use a Netgear Nighthawk MR60 mesh setup with one router and two satellites. One “feature” of this system is that the 2.4Ghz and the 5Ghz frequencies have the same SSID, which can’t be changed. Also, the 5Ghz frequency can’t be disabled. There is no AP isolation that I could change. My problem: Since the 2.4Ghz and the 5Ghz frequencies have the same SSID I can’t manually assign a specific device to one or the other frequency. As soon as a SONOS device switches to the 5GHz frequency , it disappears from the SONOS app and can’t be reached. For the IKEA IKEA Symfonisk Bookshelf speakers this isn’t an issue since they only connect to the 2.4Ghz frequency. The Five and the One SL can be forced
Is there a way to do this as I would like my virgin media remote and my magic remote to control the volume on my Beam using optical. When watching Netflix, Amazon prime etc I use my magic remote but I have to use the Virgin remote for volume as can’t get them both to work. I can get them to work using HDMI but I’m having handshake issues so I’ve gone the optical route. Surely there is a way round this.
Hi there. I hope that someone can help me out with this one. I have a Sonos system with a Play:1 and a Boost. I am now trying to add a Sonos Connect that I’ve received to it. The setting up process in the app works smoothly up to the last step, when I get a message that Connect cannot be shown in the system tab. The message asks to disconnect and reconnect the power cable of the Sonos Connect, after which it should be visible in the system tab. Unfortunately, after I perform the unplugging and re-plugging, the Connect is still missing from the system app.The only way to see the Connect in the system tab is by wiring it to the router, but once unwired, then it is gone. When wired, I can see in the settings tab that all elements, Boost, Play:1 and Connect have WM:0 indicated.Any idea what to do?
I use spotify and sonos radio on my sonos system. My system is a beam, a sub, and three plays (we have one in the kitchen and two as surround sound in living room). I have owned my system for 2+ years and have never had issues. I am subscribed to Sonos Radio app. I also have spotify set up on my system which I stream from with no issue. However, whenever I try and play any station on Sonos Radio, it will continuously pause or skip songs, and then say my wifi is too unstable. I have researched and seen the advise of rebooting your router, it being network interference etc, What confuses me is why its only Sonos Radio streaming that has problems, but not spotify and I even signed up for soundcloud and tested that and it plays perfectly fine. I am streaming directly through the sonos app. Any help would be appreciated! I dont want to unsubscribe from Sonos Radio but I will if i cant use it!
Hii have had my sonos system for about 3 years, and I have never had a problem with Alexa until over Christmas, when I ask Alexa to play a track or put a radio station on, she acknowledges the request but nothing happens.any chance someone can help me on this
Hi,I have a Sonos Arc, Sonos One rear speakers and a sub.I have an issue that on occasions when I adjust the volume the sound starts to break and continues to do this unless I turn off and on at the plug .advice and help to resolve this would be appreciated
Hi,On the Ikea Symfonisk speaker lamp the music stops frequently. Then after a few minutes it starts again. Tried to reset router and sonos. Tried toi change frequency. There is a boost in the house. The playbar, close to the speaker lamp is wired. I've started everything one by one up again and so on. Up till now I didn't find a solution. I use an Orbi router RBR50, firmware V2.7.3.22. The diagnostic information is send number 112754550. Any idea's?THX
Hi,I’ve noticed this problem on certain Netflix shows and it seems related to Dolby (Atmos). I know I can’t get Atmos to the Playbar due to its optical connection and I’m perfectly happy with the sound other than this subtle, but annoying, issue. Any suggestions?
I have a problem when I listen to a lot of music.I usually listen to radio 3 programme: through the night, all night, every night when I go to bed on sonos speakers.I sometimes listen to 4 or 5 albums through the day, streamed on apple music, either through speakers wired to a tablet, or on sonos speakers.I might watch a chess video or bbc catch up on a laptop through the day as well.I find that if I use the internet a lot, I get the error: sonos unable to connect.I don’t get this message, if I cut back on internet usage. If I leave it a while, sonos comes back eventually.I currently have fibre 65 on talktalk. If I upgrade to virgin media fibre M200, is this likely to solve the problem? I don’t want to change my provider if it is unnecessary. I don’t really need the extra speed; I just want a more reliable internet. Thanks
Hi,I’ve had my beam and 2 SL ones for a few years now. As of tonight the sound gets choppy after a few seconds of audio of all kinds (streaming, local computer music, music cast to the TV directly).I’ve eliminated a computer problem (Smart Tv Netflix was choppy) and the sound works fine when sound comes out of anything but speakers (headphones).TV sounds works fine when the setup from Sonos is disconnected, and I’ve reset the system to no improvement.I usually use the whole setup wireless, so I tried with ethernet and the problem got worse, which I didn’t think was possible.I really hope it’s not a replace the beam situation, if any help can be provided I’d appreciate it.
