I have a Garrard record player working well with a Connect Amp and now wondered whether I could also use an existing Sony Compact Disc digital audio player with the Connect Amp. Line Out has an output level of 2V, 50 kilohms, Load impedance of more than 10 kilohms. Obviously don't want to risk damaging the Connect Amp.

I understand that the Connect is intended to be used with an external amp. My question is, how? Is the idea to: a) Allow me to play content streaming through the Sonos network (iTunes, Rdio, Spotify) through my existing AVR; or b) Allow me to stream audio from my AVR-connected peripherals (AppleTV, turntable) wirelessly to Sonos speakers; or c) Both of the above? Since most of the terminals are outputs, I'm guessing the answer is (a)… but then what is the RCA input intended for?

I have a PLAYBASE connected to my tv and a CONNECT:AMP connected to my in ceiling speakers. However, since my router is on a different floor, both SONOS components can only using the wireless internet connection in my house. Also, the CONNECT:AMP is not located close the the tv, since the in wall speaker connection is far away from the tv. Therefore I can not physically connect these two systems. So, while I can get the tv to play on the PLAYBASE, I can’t get it on both. Is there any way to get the tv to play on both the PLAYBASE and the in wall speakers without moving my router (which causes other issues)?

I have a new play 5 2nd gen that is to replace a play 1. I've ran truetune and set both the play 1 and play 5 at flat EQ. They are sitting side by side. My issue is with anything below, say 45% volume, the sound out of the play5 is less desirable to me than the play 1. Specifically the vocals. Anything below 25% I can barely hear vocals at all and the bass and high treble are over powering which mutes out the vocals. With loudness off, the vocals are even more removed. When I switch the the play1, the voice is much more forward facing and pronounced making it easy to hear and listen to at low volume. It seems like a far more natural sound while the play5 seems more 'digital' or unnaturally amplified. It's hard to explain. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm quite surprised to walk away more impressed with the play1 at low volume than the play5. Everything I had read and based on the impressive set up, I had expected the play5 to outperform at all levels. Any sugguestions

Would like to see Sonos come out with an outdoor speaker. It would be great to have music in my courtyard. I think everyone that has a Sonos system would like to see one

We all love the sound quality of the Sonos products. However when the kids go to bed it could be great to group the audio from my Sonos Playbar to my Bluetooth headphones to watch a movie at the volume I would like. This could be done with an app update to expand grouping to include the iPhone or whatever device being used with the Sonos app and connect the headphones to the phone. Essentially using the phones Bluetooth to connect to the Sonos network via the Sonos app. I’m sure a more simplified was of doing the same thing could be done through the app with user friendly options/selections that could be created. As an accessibility feature this could allow those with hearing loss to wear Bluetooth headphones and watch at their own volume while the others in the room can use the Sonos Playbar.

Will Sonos every produce a component like the Squeezebox Transporter? This was such a great component and I really want something on the shelf with a display and basic controls. I don’t want a smartdevice only interface and I have ZERO interest in voice control.

I'm sure there are numerous topics that have my answer, or at least very similar situations that I could probably come to a reasonable conclusion, but I want to ask my specific situation so I get an idea before making some purchases. I bought an Akai BT500 bluetooth turntable and two Bose Soundtouch 10 speakers. Long story short, those speakers wouldn't connect. So, I got talked into buying two Play3 speakers and a CONNECT. I have my turntable plugged into the CONNECT and able to listen to my two Play3 speakers in different rooms just fine. I understand this defeats the purpose of having a bluetooth enabled turntable. However, my question is, if I were to decide to make an investment in the Playbar and a some Play1 speakers, etc to give my living room surround sound from my TV, would I be able to connect either my turntable or my TV setup (this one seems more impractical and improbable) to the CONNECT via bluetooth with some sort of bluetooth adapter, transmitter, or receiver? Hi folks Do you know if i when i connect my turntable to my Sonos Connect line in and my old speaker to the line out, the Connect bypass the signal or it converts analog signal to digital and back to analog? Thanks Regards

Longtime user wondering if its time to sell my components before they're worthless

I have a connect:amp hooked up to 4 outdoor speakers. this works great... the issue I have is when I hook my outdoor tv up through the line out it won't let me turn the speakers up all the way and volume goes in and out.....how do I fix this

I very much expect this has been asked for before, but is there any way to display/use the Sonos controller on the TV? I'd really like to see the album art, queue etc and be able to have a good way for guests to see/choose music and for that to be a conversation point even! An app shouldn't be too hard to implement on the major brands of smart TV. Much of the industry is driving towards making the TV the entertainment hub for the home.

The regular sonos connect has an optical connection, which I believe I could use towards the LG soundbar. However, I’ve got a sonos connect amp, which I don’t understand if I can get to work together with my TV. Does anyone know if by using any kind of adapter or anyhow be able to connect the two units.

I have Sonos through out the house. Some run though a Savant amp and some through Connects. I am trying to add a sub to a room that is not using a Connect. It is not allowing me and says that a sub can only be used in a room with a Play or Connect Amp. Really? Is there a work around? Thank you in advance.

Is there anywhere I can get a very short cable for a play 5 gen 2? I have wall mounted one and want to hide as much of the cable as possible.

When I add second SONOS connect one of them starts lagging and music is skipping a few seconds randomly. Music source is MP3 coming from a NAS. NAS should be providing enough bandwidth, I tried playing different MP3s on each Sonos. Any ideas? Devices are on gigabit network. I am assuming it is a problem with Sonos, either conflicting because of 2 connections or it cannot pull off the MP3s fast enough. Please advice, need this working ASAP.

I have a Sonos Connect Amp to which I would like to connect headphones. As you know, the Amp does not have have a headphone jack nor does it have output jacks to connect a dedicated headphone amp. I tried coming off of the sub out port but that appears be be dedicated to sub. Only heard low end bass in my headphones. I could get a Sonos Play 5 which has headphone jack but this option seems unnecessary as I already have speakers in the room. I could get a Sonos Connect because it has output jacks but this also seems like overkill because I would have 2 zones in one room. Neither of these options are my first choice. Am I missing an option? Thank you

I'm a few months into my Sonos setup, and absolutely love it. Yes, my first (two!) cars didn't cost this much, but I consider it one of the best investments I've ever made. I have 5 zones with a mix of Play:5 and Play:3 speakers, and also using my own speakers -- which is where the trouble is. In my living room, I have a Connect:Amp hooked up to a pair of Polk RTiA1 speakers (http://www.polkaudio.com/products/rtia1). The sound is... disappointing. I should clarify: The sound is spectacular, certainly more sophisticated than from my Play:3 or Play:5 speakers, which already sound great. But it doesn't seem as "powerful" as it should be, for lack of a better word. For one thing, with all zones on the same volume setting, my living room speakers are noticeably quieter than the others. I have to turn up the volume in that room by perhaps 20% to equal the volume being played elsewhere. Also, with the volume set somewhere around 5% maybe, there's not really any music coming out of the s

Hi We moved into a new house and the guys that set our tv onto the wall connected our play 5 to our tv which sounded great! Today I connect all our play 1 & 5 on the sonos controller so we can listen to our own music / radio but now the tv has lost the sound through the sonos 5? I'm not very good with this kind of things, is there anyone out there that can help me in very simple terms how to get the sonos r 5 to play the sound from the telly again? Help please!!!

Can I connect my Paradigm 110 powered subwoofer to the Sonos Connect Amp Sub output?

I want to start adding Sonos speakers to my home theater set-up and would like your advice. I have a Denon AVR-1912 receiver and a Sony Bravia LCD TV. I would like to replace my center speaker and two front speakers while continuing to use my "wired" rear speakers and subwoofer. I am hoping that I can accomplish this by purchasing a pair of PLAY:1 speakers, a Connect and a Playbar. Will this work? Will there be a lag? Do I need additional components? Dear Community I'd like to play my music through my Denon AVR 2313 via Sonos connect. But I have to play with the volume level set at 70-80% - to be able to hear the music - can that be right? Kind Regards

Hi Everyone, I don't manage to make working my Technics SLBD-20 vinyl records Turntable with My Connect Amp. I don't have any sound. I have no problem with my CD reader which works perfectly on Sonos thru the Connect Amp. Do you know how I can connect my Turntable to my Sonos system ? Thanks a lot, Olivier

Considering Sonos speakers as computer speakers- Can anyone advise on whether the delay makes this impractical- I imagine direct inline to a play 5 would have the least delay Does using a Connect with no compression work as fast? Thoughts? Thanx
