Let's talk about Sonos Connect, Connect:AMP, Sonos AMP, and setups using Sonance architectural, or your own speakers and components.

Every day I walk past my Bose sound dock and wish there was A SONOS plugin for it!
I have tried what i think is all of the other suggestions on here. When I hook up the Sonos to Mciintosh the sound is very faint even at almost full level on the system. I know multiple people have had this issue but I have tried unplugging, changing interconnect cables and input locations on the Mc
Is there a way to use the Bose 901 speaker active equalizer with the Sonos CONNECT:AMP? I can see no way to integrate it into the system. If not, I pretty much purchased a $500 CONNECT:AMP brick from Sonos.
I have my new PlayBar positioned as shown in the attached image. But if I play an audio test the right and left sides are reversed! I tried rebooting the PlayBar, and I set diagnostic #6859890 from the app. How can I fix this?
I cant seem to find the details of the Sonos Connect Amp crossover anywhere. What I do know is that when an RCA wire is connected to the Sub out on the Connect Amp an 80Hz high pass filter is applied to the speaker outputs. 1) Is the subwoofer out low lass filtered at 80Hz? - I think yes 2) what is the order of the high pass and low pass filters? 3) What type of filter? is it a Linkwitz-Riley? The reason that I'm asking this is I was to know about the relative phase of the speaker outs and subwoofer output at 80Hz. My usually quick method for dialing in a subwoofer is to reverse the speaker cable polarity and use the sub phase and level control to find a null at 80Hz then swap back the speaker cable polarity. Thanks Wayne
I have put a stereo pair of Sonos Ones in my conservatory. They are wall mounted on Flexson speaker mounts. One of the walls is a hollow box plaster board wall around the sewer pipe. Unfortunately this is creating vibration transfer from the Flexson wall mount to the wall. Does anyone know a way of preventing this, something between the wall mount and wall possibly?? Any (sensible) suggestions would be very welcomed.
I would like to see a Sonos product similar to the Sonos Connect/ZP90 but instead of connecting to an amplifier it has a Bluetooth connection supporting A2DP/ APT X. You could then stream music from your iPod/iPhone, android phone or any device with Bluetooth similar to the way the iPod dock works, or the line in on the Connect, but the connection is made via Bluetooth rather than a wire In addition it should support transmitting music via Bluetooth so that a Bluetooth speaker or headphones could be used and it would work like a traditional zone player transmitting the music to the device attached to the zone via Bluetooth. I think this one device would meet the needs of some other requests here for sonos headphones, portable speakers and being able to play music directly from a PC/iPad etc as this could all be done over Bluetooth and using A2DP/APT X would give a good quality sound.
Hello all, I've got a Gen2 Play 5 which I've connected to the Flexson VinylPlay via the line in cable, however, the VP doesn't appear to be outputting sound to the speaker itself. I've adjusted the line in and double checked all the connections and everything is set up fine. I can stream music and radio stations to the P5 without issue, so I know it's not the speaker. I also adjusted the line in settings in the room settings on the controller, but I'm not getting anything out. I can hear the turntable is playing sound through its own internal speakers at a whisper, but nothing else. Any ideas? Does anyone have a technical support number for Flexson? I can't seem to find any helpful contact information on their site! Thanks, Andy
I have just bought a bridge (BR100) so that I can create a Sonos network and get the Sonos mesh network setup to all me to reach rooms that are a long way from the router (the concrete walls in the house are not very WiFi friendly!). Buying from eBay I ended up with THREE of them! Is there any benefit to having more than one BR100? Only 1 will be connected to the router but will additional BR100 act as relay in the Sonos mesh network when just plugged into power (ie not connecting to an Ethernet cable)? Thanks
Have been running my Sonos system for some years. I usually control it from my Win 10 PC, which is hard-wired to a Zone controller. I have just changed the speakers connected to the PC to Logitech Z906 5.1 and added an ASUS sound card to the PC for good measure. I get sound from every source (browser, iTunes etc) except the Sonos bit which is connected to my PC. All my other Sonos zones work as before. The installation of the sound card etc. went OK and I loaded the drivers from the supplied CD. When I test the speakers via the Windows configuration app, all the speakers beep as they should. Would appreciate any ideas where to look next ...
Having an intermittent sound problem with my connect amp that I have had for possible 4 years. Never missed a beat. Always in the same position. Any ideas?
I have a connect amp, and am trying to run my digital audio from my stereo into my connect amp via the analog audio inputs. I have a D>A converter, and when I select line in for the sonos, the audio is extremely quiet and cannot be increased. It sounds like there is something which I have not activated, that is holding back the sound. Any ideas? Thanks, Jeremy
My Sonos connect has stopped working. It was fine but now will not show any light. I have repowered and it shows a solid white for a few seconds then a flashing for a few seconds and then no light at all. Sonos app is unable to see this device. It was working fine last weekend and nothing changed since It is only 2 months old. Very distressed!

I thought I had this figured out before my purchase but, no. I have 3 zones I need powered. Two speakers on the patio, one stereo speakers in the kitchen/dining area, and 5.1 in the family room. I bought a Onkyo TX-RZ620 (2 powered zones) and a connect amp and wireless sub. I'm trying to have a system that has the flexibility to either play the same thing in each zone (like listen/watch a football game) or a combination of this (movie in living room/ music in other zones). Anyone have any idea what else I need to get to make this happen?
Why doesn't the Sonos Connect support digital input so that you can use it to attach e.g. Play-3 speakers and the SUB to a TV? Every modern TV utilizes HDMI and Optical Output and you can find less and less dual RCA cable output. Yes, the Sonos Connect has a simple mini jack to dual RCA which I could use but I really don't want to try to watch movies that way. I am willing put put the money down for a good solution but it appears that there is none. I fear I have to take back the SUB and the connect. Do you know of any solution to this? Thanks!
I have just got a Play 5 and connected it to my TV's headphone port to the line in port on the play 5. The sound works fine coming out of the Play 5 (a little static feedback but nothing major). However, I have added my two Play 1s to the 'group' to create a surround sound effect and the sound keeps dropping in and out on the Play 1s. There doesn't seem to be a specific pattern to the drop out and it is only momentary before the sound resumes but it's enough to make the setup unusable. If the sound on the Play 5 dropped as well then I would know it is something wrong with the connection to the TV but the sound on the Play 5 is fine. Any thoughts as to what could be wrong?
I would like to group a record player with a Connect and a receiver with a Connect. Has anyone tried this? I'm guessing there will be a delay. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I am looking at connecting my existing JBL (SB250) and JBL 3.1 (JBLBAR31BLKAM) sound bar to my exisitng Play 1's and Play 5. Does anyone know if these two models are capable? Also the SB250 will be outside in a tv case on the patio has anyone ever had a Sonos Connect out in the elements?

I would like to have a Pin Code to stop unwanted users on my network to access the Sonos
Hi I have a Sonos Connect that is hooked to an Audio Research Amp. But the audio output is very mediocre, it lacks richness and fidelity. Is there something else that I can purchase for my setup to improve audio quality.
Hi, I have just bought a Sonos Connect and I have connected it to a Parrot speaker. I have now in the same room a Play 1 and my new Connect / Parrot speaker. I have a sync issue. There is a delay between both sounds. How can i solve this issue please ? Thanks, Olivier
Ok. I have resisted jumping down the Hi Rez, MQA worm hole. I have had a connect for years and hardly used it. I listen to Tidal Hifi through an iMac peach tree combo. Pretty decent. I hooked up a Audioquest Dragon fly red and listened to some Masters recordings. My jaw dropped. I was impressed but i am not sold yet. I will say that when I played the same tracks through the Connect it sounded like someone threw a wet blanket over my speakers. I would like to make sure I am feeding by Peachtree the best way. Digital coaxial or optical? Using RCA now.
I'm trying to connect the optical output on my Sonos Connect to my Macbook in order to capture and digitise my vinyl collection. (the turntable is connected to the connect analogue inputs via a phono preamp). My Macbook is aware of the digital connection as it shows up in the Sound Preferences as 'optical digital-in port'. However if I try to record audio signal (say into Audacity), nothing records. Do I need to do anything to ensure there is signal on the optical out, or is it always digitising when the connect is receiving input audio?
