Vinyl to multiroom

I understand you can plug a record player into a Sonos Connect to then send to a Sonos speaker, can you send to multiple sonos speakers? And do you need a phono stage or is there one built into the connect or connect amp?

Record Player setup

I currently have 3x Sonos Play One and 3x Sonos Play 3. For christmas I was thinking of getting my dad a record player and either a connect / Play 5 so he can utilize his record collection. Can anyone reccomend: -A good record player to use with Sonos that looks and sounds good -Whether to get a Connect or Play 5 - Do I need an amp i.e. Connect:Amp or Play 5 with amp * Also with either Connect / Play 5 would I be able to use some sort of splitter to route the sound from my tv to Sonos (rather than keep switching the input from record player / TV) Thanks in advance

Multiple Connect Amps

I’m in the process of setting up 2 separate outdoor areas with wired speakers that I want to set up as 2 Sonos zones. I understand that when setting up wired speakers, you wire each pair of speakers to its own connect amp to form the 2 zones. My question is, do both connect Amps need to be connected to my router, or does just one of the connect Amps need to be connected to the router? The rest of my house is a 5.1 in the living room and play 3’s in the bedroom ‘s and garage; once one of the connect Amps are connected to my router, can the rest of the house run wirelessly or would you recommend other devices be plugged into the router.

Music works fine but tv sound won't play

Just came home from vacation and now my tv sound won't come out of my playbar or sub....music works fine. It worked fine now it doesn't. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Single Connect:AMP driving 6 Bose cube speakers, 2 Yamaha outdoor speakers and a subwoofer?

I bought a house where the the downstairs is hardwired with 6 small (i.e. 3 double cube) Bose speakers inside and 2 Yamaha waterproof speakers on the deck. The speakers are driven by an old Pioneer AV receiver connected via an SS4 speaker selector with impedance protection. I have a Sonos Connect attached to the receiver to stream music on a hard disk attached to my router. I also have a CD player and a subwoofer connected to the receiver. I always play the same source on all 8 speakers and I’ve never had any problem playing all speakers at one time at a satisfactory volume through a single R/L pair of speaker outputs on the receiver. (Note this I don’t play surround material on this system - just basic stereo.) I want to replace the Pioneer receiver because it's too big, clunky and complicated for the space and what I need it to do. I also need to replace the Sonos Connect because it's one of the first units made and fails intermittently, requiring frequent resets. I’m think

Converting analogue hifi to wireless output

Is there a Wifi output adaptor available I can fit to my analogue hifi amplifier to output a Wifi signal to be picked up by my Sonos controller to play on my Play 1? I want to play my CDs on my CD player through my amplifier then through my Play 1.

Sorry, we can't connect to sonos

this is the second time in the same week I get the message sorry we can't connect to sonos. The first time I had to pull the plug on my router to sort it the second time it has not worked also i dont want to keep unplugging my router every week any thoughts.I have not changed anything only have a 1 and a 3 connected wirelessly.

Wiring Question - Should I use a Connect to talk to a Connect Amp, or something different

I have a TV outside with a Directv mini Genie. I want to push my audio from the TV into the two outdoor speakers, and have the ability to change the source from the TV to any of my other music services. I have an unused coax cable that is running back to my wiring closet. I have drawn up the attached diagram for what I think I need to do, but I'm not sure if it is the best practice. Is there a better way?

Can I connect headphones directly to the analog out of a CONNECT?

Could someone confirm whether I can connect regular wired headphones to the analog out of a CONNECT (using a suitable RCA to headphone cord adaptor)? I.e., that I don't need to interpose some kind of headphone amp. Thanks.

Line-in not showing up in iOS app or Mac desktop controller with ZP100, ZP80 or two Play:1's

Let me start by stating that I'm a 10 plus year Sonos user and I've been on the beta program in the past. I think I have an above average understanding of how this equipment works. That said, I have a ZP100 in my office with a turntable connected to it. Yes the turntable has a preamp built-in and yes it's connected to the inputs on the ZP100 but I cannot get the turntable to play through the ZP100. I followed the instructions on the site and run into issues where it says to "click on the line-in settings on the Room Settings menu". My issue is that no line-in menu shows up under room settings. Here's what mine shows... I've tried resetting the unit and that did not work. Every other function of the ZP100 works perfectly except for this one. I also tried on my ZP80 and both Play:1's and have the same result. I've got several hours invested so far and I'm out of ideas. Anyone have any pointers?

Why can't I see my BOOST in the app - despite there being one installed?

I know the Boost is working, based on the system info, but I'm wondering why the Boost Settings tab says You have no boosts in your sonos system - while I have. I'd love to be able to see the unit, just to 'make it 100%' valid.

Line-In not working on Connect:Amp

I am trying to use the line-in on my Connect:Amp. However, when I have a device plugged into the phono sockets, the following message appears: "To use line-in, connect a device to a line-in capable sonos player" - i.e. the Connect:Amp is not 'seeing' the Line-in connection. I have already tried the following: Swapped the phono cables over - no luck Rebooted the Sonos Connect:Amp - no luck Factory reset the Sonos Connect:Amp and added back to the system - no luck Then I connected the same line-in device to my Sonos Connect - the line-in does show up and works OK Used the same cables to re-connect to the Connect:Amp - still no luck I can only conclude that something is up with the Connect: Amp Can anybody help? Advice would be greatly appreciated. I have submitted a diagnostics report: #7976997 Thank you!

Speakers say 4-8ohms

Hello all - first post. Brand new to Sonos and loving it! I purchased 2 Connect Amps, and 2 Play 1's. The first Connect Amp powers 4 ceiling speakers (2 in Master Bath and 2 in Master Bedroom) and the other Connect Amp powers 4 ceiling speakers in living room/kitchen area. Here is my question: When I ordered my speakers, I thought they were all 8 ohms. The bathroom speakers came in first, and they are both 8 ohms (these were "weather resistant" so different from the others). Got them installed and they sound great. The rest of the speakers came in a week later, and I got them all installed and they all work and sound great too. But I noticed in some documentation that came with the other 6 speakers that they say 4-8ohms. Now I'm worried that I may cause damage to my very expensive Connect Amps. So one of the Connect Amps is running 2 8 ohm speakers and 2 rated 4-8 ohms, and the other Connect Amp is running 4 4-8 ohm speakrs. After running them for quite a while, sound is st

I use a connect amp using Airplay, my question is if I play music to my connect amp (the source beeing the line in, will this signal be sent also to other sonos speakers in the sistem?for example a play 1?)

Headphones with Sonos

I have a Sonos Soundbar and two PLAY 1s connected via my broadband router, which also connects to my PC holding digitised CDs. Is there any way I can connect headphones to listen to internet radio and my CDs instead of through the speakers?

I bought the Sonos 5 to stream music period!. If I wanted a snooping, listening always on "assistant" I would have bought the Google Home or the Amazon Alexa. If I am forced to add this capability to my Sonos 5 with a mandatory "upgrade" I would rather brick the device and simply use it as a Powered Speaker...

Can a Sonos Amp handle two 4-ohm speakers?

I have a pair of Vienna Acoustic speakers rated at 4-ohms. I'm considering switching to a Sonos Amp, but wondering if that will work given Sonos lists the amp at 8-ohms. Does this just mean it will pull more power to get the same volume or are there any issues risks here?

The Wrensilva Sonos Edition Console

Anyone seen pictures of the new Wrensilva Sonos Edition Console which incorporates two Play 5s? I think it’s hideous but leaving that aside I hope Sonos haven’t devoted much time and resources to this product when requests and suggestions from users for enhancements to the current line-up apparently get ignored or dismissed. Only a personal opinion! :8

Sonos Connect and Sonos Amp: Can I Use Together?

So I've got a TV in the master BR. I've got left and right speakers powered by a SONO AMP in a different room so I can play music. I want to be able to connect the speakers to my TV using the SONOS connect via the Fiber connection to the TV. Can I then associate the L&R speakers connected to the AMP to get TV "Out"?

Sub maintenance

Does the Sub need any maintenance in terms of ridding it of accumulated dust where visible? I have mine under a cloth cover that is effective but over the years, dust penetrates. I am a little reluctant to use a brush because I don't know how robust/delicate the two driver cones and surrounds are, hence the question.

Making a CONNECT´s LINE-IN play in a CONNECT:AMP

Hi, everybody, i´m having issues with a set-up. I have a RCA output wired to the LINE-IN of a CONNECT in the living room, and i want to be able to play it (the connect´s LINE-IN) wirelessly in a CONNECT:AMP located in another room. i tried setting both of them in a group, but it didn´t work. How can i go about doing this? i´m fairly new to Sonos, so i may have skipped some steps in the configuration. Thanks in advance for the help!
