Trying to add ION turntable. I connected to ION headphone jack and red and white to sonos connect. Went to LINE IN but no luck getting any further. Any thoughts?
Hi Guys, Long time Sonos user, but this one just has me stumped. I have purchased a Linn Amplifier which has my Turntable (Michel Engineering Gyro) connected to it and works brilliantly. I have now purchased a SONOS Connect as want to share the turntable around the house etc. BUT!!!!! I will be damned if I can get it set up. The problem being that we just cannot hear the vinyl when its playing. If we take the Sonos out of the Loop then it all works perfectly again. So - I have the turntable RCA going to the Line in on the Connect, the output RCA from the Connect goes to the Phono Source input on the Linn Amp? Thats right yes? I am working if the Connect is faulty, but wanted to ensure I was not missing something really obvious here? Answers/help on the back of a postcard would be appreciated. Thanks - Rich
I recently received a TEAC TN-350 turntable for Christmas. I attached the device to my SONOS Connect {Zone1} input. It works well from my directly connect speakers on Zone 1. However the other areas Zone 2 (two grouped Play 1), Zone 3 (single play3) , Zone 4 (Playbar) and Zone 5 ( Play) tend to drop out similar to a loss signal or just weak. I also notice that volume is not consistent. conversely the quality is so better when streaming over Sirius or Groove Music. Does anyone have any ideas why the difference in quality? The Teac Turntable output is through RCA going into Connect input.
Thanks for your advice!
I'm using a Sonos Bridge that is connected to my network via an ethernet cable. My Sonos Connect used to work fine over the SonosWireless(mesh) network, but after a firmware update, the Connect started behaving strangely - I now can't use it unless it's connected via ethernet cable. My other devices (Play 1, Play 3) are working fine over the mesh network. The only way I can get my Connect to work is by having a hard wired ethernet connection in. I have uploaded diagnostic information: 8263225 Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
I don't have sonos but would like to use it as part of a smart home system. I'm curious if it would be possible to have sonos linked to motion sensors. Therefore as you walk theough your house the music moves with you. It turns off when you leave the room and continues in the next room or hallway you enter.
I’m looking @ purchasing a new Sonos Connect Amp. How do I know if I am getting the latest model? I have seen different colored retail packaging as well as two different colors (blue & grey) used on the rear section of the amp where the connections are made. Thanks Chris
So I have 11 ceiling speakers all rated for 4-ohms to 8-ohms for each speaker. These: https://www.pyleaudio.com/sku/PDIC60/In-Wall--In-Ceiling-Dual-65-inch-Speaker-System,-Directable-Tweeter,-2-Way,-Flush-Mount,-White And 2 ceiling subwoofers rated for 8-ohms each. These: https://www.pyleaudio.com/sku/PDIWS10/In-Wall--In-Ceiling-10-High-Power-Subwoofer-System,-DVC,-Flush-Mount,-White,-Single-Speaker They're grouped in different rooms throughout the house, and the groups are wired to this volume knob in the wall: https://www.pyleaudio.com/sku/PVC1/Wall-Mount-Volume-Control,-In-Wall-Rotary-Speaker-Volume-Knob From the knobs the wires are sent to one central location. I don't mind all of them on the same zone. Is there any possible way to set up a Sonos system for them? Thanks

Will the Sonos app support Samsung Bixby voice control
I have a connect amp and a play 1. Can I somehow connect these to my smart TV so that the audio from my TV plays through my play 1? If so, how?
I got the Sonos Connect and this record player: https://www.amazon.com/Crosley-C100A-SI-Turntable-Adjustable-Counterweight/dp/B016OVYIK6 I have it all hooked up and set with line out (pre amp), but while I can hear a little sound from the record player, no audio is going into the Sonos connect. What am I doing wrong?
My ZP90 appears to not be working. The controller can't 'find' it. No lights appear on the Front even though power is connected. At the rear there are flashing yellow and green lights around the input connectors. It is connected to my Home Cinema System and previously worked perfectly. Anybody Help please?
I'm connecting my Sonos Connect to a Yamaha RX A-730 Home Theater receiver via either TosLink optical or Coax digital cable. Either one works fairly well, but I have to have the volume on my Yamaha turned almost to MAX. So I'm thinking I need some sort of pre-amp. Can anyone recommend a digital to digital (either toslink or coax) preamp to install between my Sonos Connect and my receiver ?? Thank you, JH
Does the in-App volume control work on the Connect's digital outputs? I want to connect the Connect's digital output directly to a pair of power amps via a 3rd party DAC which has no analogue volume control.

Hello! I like to be waiting for the integration of google home and sonos, however was thinking if there is an integration with harmony I can use in the short term? Thanks!
A longer version of this is stuck in the spam filter. I was looking on Amazon and they are offering Squaretrade service plans (extended warranties) for a very good price and I wondered why Sonos can't offer the same plans when you buy a device directly from Sonos instead of having to go through Amazon? Play 5 -- 4-Year Home AV Protection Plan ($450-500) -- $17.70
Hi sonos and fellow users, I’m a Installer for a Audio and video company, Doing lots of sonos installs. I have many installs which uses the sonos connect amps with inceiling speakers for multi room audio, which also includes tvs. I have many clients want Audio from the tv to their inceiling speakers but without having a sound bar, they are trying to keep the wall clean as possible without having a sound bar on it. Can Sonos introduce a optical in on the connect amp (version 2), and also maybe a external IR sensor kit so when the client uses the original TV remote, it will have the ability to change the volume up/down, almost the combination of the playbar and sonos connect functions rolled into one connect amp. And if it has a optical in (for the tv, and analogue in.. for cd etc) the connect amp will have the ability to have to have two sources run into it. The other feature is default source option, so if your running music from Spotify, etc, soon as the tv is on, it overrides th
Hi - I just plugged my Connect AMP into a 240V mains plug without sliding across the voltage switch on the amp. There was a popping sound and it now doesn’t turn on. Has anyone has this happen and found the fix? I’m hoping I haven’t busted it Thank you
Have Boost set up in house now. Adding a Connect to outside BBQ area. Closest Sonos device I will have is an existing Connect in Family Room about 60 ft away. Will my new Connect I add to outside BBQ be able to connect via the mesh to the Family Room Connect or is that to far? if it does not reach will adding 2nd boost next to the Connect in the family Room send a stronger signal than existing Connect that is there? If i hook up 2nd Boost it will not be hardwired in, can it just connect to the mesh to extend signal assuming the Boost will extend further than a Connect and not have to be hardwired to network?
How can I set up a record player to a Sonos Sound bar? Can I or should i us a Sonos CONNECT. Thank-you
Hi, I hope I'm posting to the correct place but I cannot easily see how to contact customer support directly. I have just bought an Amazon Echo Dot and tried connecting it to the line-in input of my ZP90 but I cannot select the line-in as an input anywhere in the Sonos app. Even when I go into Settings->Room Settings there is no line-in option as there is for my other CONNECT amps. I have tried a different cable but this makes no difference. Can anyone help ?
