Sonos Connect Digital Outputs - Volume Control?
Does the in-App volume control work on the Connect's digital outputs? I want to connect the Connect's digital output directly to a pair of power amps via a 3rd party DAC which has no analogue volume control.

Yes, but you have to configure the Connect for Variable Output via the Settings menu.

Is it correct? Digital volume control will reduce dynamic range, it's not good for sound quality at all.
In the qualitative sound system the volume control should be placed after the DAC.
Does volume control via the digital out pass through the volume setting to the DAC that then adapts its analog output level?
